Chapter 7: Becoming the talk of school
I reached home and immediately dashed into my room and locked it as if I wasn't living alone. As I recalled all the memories of the night before, I began to laugh out loud like I was going crazy, and I was, because how could that have happened between us.
'maybe it's a dream' I told myself and took off my clothes to go take a proper shower
I came out of the bathroom and sat in front of my dressing mirror. I did the usual things I did which was apply my skincare products and dry my hair. I picked out a short and bra top to wear.
I went on to clear my bag and hang it back on the rack. I started bringing out my stuffs when my eyes landed on the gown. I didn't feel any emotions all I wanted to do was to take a revenge on Dan.
I recalled the memories of last night and it made me even more angry when I suddenly remembered I saw a camera standing at the side of the bed.
"oh shit, I hope that camera was not on" I panicked and brought out my phone to call Courtney. it's about 10am in the morning so she should be awake by now.
Her phone rang countlessly but she didn't pick up. I dropped the phone and decided that she may have kept her phone on DND(Do not disturb)
I sat down on the bed and started thinking so many things...'what if he has a video?', 'what will he do with it?', what if he decides to release it just to get back at me?'. All sorts of thoughts were running through my mind at the same time
"calm down Amy, he wouldn't do anything stupid" I said to reassure myself
I then proceeded to go do the laundry, since I had some dirty clothes I brought from Tracy's home too. I finished and made my self toast and tea since my stomach felt empty. after eating, I went to bed and slept cause I was so tired

"lately, lately, I've been thinking "
"i want you to be happier"
"even though I might not like this "
"I think that you'll be happier"
My phone rang loudly making me wake up. I feel so tired and sore. I yawned and picked up the phone to see who was calling me. it was Courtney calling me back
"how are you doing?", she asked me
"I'm doing fine" I said and yawned loudly making Courtney laugh
" I see you slept again and my call woke you" she said teasing me
"yes, exactly what happened" I replied her drowsily
"I'm so sorry that I left you yesterday, the drink hit me so hard in places I didn't know it could " she said sounding serious but laughed at the end which made me laugh also.
"nah, it's fine" I replied her
"I also heard about what happened after I left, I'm so sorry that I left you. it's totally my fault, i should have been there with you" she said with sincerity evident in her voice
"it's not your fault in any way. if you were there maybe they would have taken you and did something with you, remember we were so drunk last night" I replied her
"still, I'm sorry" she said again
"okay, okay... I'm still feeling sleepy you know, we'll talk later" I replied her in a playful manner to make the conversation not seem awkward for me
"okay bye, see you later then"
"bye" I said and cut the call and fell back on my bed thinking while I drift into sleep

"beep, beep, beep" I heard the sound of my doorbell right from my deep sleep till it finally woke me up making me realize someone has been at the door ringing and knocking since
I rushed out of bed to the living room to open the door for whoever it was. I had opened the door when I remembered I was supposed to check and ask who it was before opening...heh, that doesn't matter now since I opened the door already
Courtney stood in front of me looking quite different and frustrated to add with it...'I'm in for long talks today's I said to myself
I let her enter and we sat down on the chairs. we looked at each other for some minutes before she said
"spill it, what happened yesterday?"she asked
"After you left yesterday, Chris and I talked for some minutes and he went to get me water cause I was tipsy and then this handsome guy came to me and we started talking and the next thing I knew I woke up in a room that wasn't that dark but also there wasn't too much light.
I was so drowsy and weak all of a sudden and my body felt hot from inside, it's a kind of feeling that I can't explain. And then I saw the guy that came to me at the party and my ex. my ex tried to rape me but fortunately Chris came in time" I said explaining everything to her
she looked angry and annoyed after I weighed her expression
"well, but there's something I still have to figure out. I remember I saw a camera standing not too far from the bed. but what I don't know is if that camera was on or not" I added
"well, why do you care about the camera" she asked
"because if that camera was on and he was recording what happened, he could release the video and it would affect me academically. I could be expelled" I said with worry
" Oh shit, that's true, so what do we do now" she asked while putting her head
Suddenly, she clapped her hand and said "ah hah, don't you worry, I know how we can get him. I know someone who is good at tracking people, all you'll need to do is give me descriptions about him, like how he looks, his name and surname and all that stuff"
"okay, when you're ready just let me know" I said to her
she came and sat down beside me looking at me intently. "what?" I asked her
"nothing, I just wanted to know if you, you know...did it with Chris" she asked teasing me
"Girl, just leave me" I replied her avoiding the question
Raising her hands up and laughing she said" okay, okay, I'm hungry by the way, let's order takeout?"
"yeah, that'd be fine, cause I don't even have the strength to cook anything at all" I said while stretching my body
We ordered burger, fries and chicken with two large milkshakes. we ate to our fill and just lay back on the chair
"Courtney, wouldn't you like to share what happened between you and James last night with me?" I asked making a cute face which made her laugh
"well...since you asked nicely" she said laughing
"nothing much happened yesterday, just some things that I can't bear to tell a child " she said and laughed
"oh, so I'm a child now" I said laughing
"yes you are my dear" she said and turned her face away

We resumed school the next morning, which was a Monday morning. The lecturer informed us earlier that we we would be having a test today. Courtney and I had studied throughout the week and we're ready for the test
we entered the class and took our seats in the usual place. Though I noticed some of the students were looking at me and whispering to each other but i didn't care. I brought out my notes, pen and phone so I can keep myself busy before the lecturer comes in and Courtney brought out hers too.
She was scrolling through her phone when all of her sudden she tapped me hardly, I guess what she saw must have made her so shocked because she didn't talk at all and was just staring at her phone. I moved closer to her to have a look and my jaw dropped.
"why on earth did this have to happen, why why?" I asked myself feeling angry
it was a picture of me in my underwear, smiling foolishly at something or someone. it was sent by an anonymous person with the caption 'This is only the beginning '
I was confused who would do this and send to the school platform. I didn't even remember taking a picture like that. I was so angry with myself and the person who sent it
The lecturer entered the class and gave us the lecture for that day and gave us the test he had told us about
Class ended and we stood up to go to Courtney's dorm. we were walking to her car and many of the students we met on the way would laugh and whisper to themselves after they saw me
we reached there and met her roommates in the room
"hey, Amy thank you for coming to the party" Stephanie said
"nah, it's no problem" I smiled and replied her
I went to Courtney's bed and just laid down on it thinking why bad things have just been happening to me lately till I just fell asleep

'beep, beep, beep' my alarm rang waking me up
"oh shit it's 5pm already" I said standing up and packing my bag ready to go home
"oh, you're going home now" Courtney said to me
" yes, I have some errands to run and I also have to go to the store to get something " I replied her
"let me see you off then" she said standing up from the bed
"no don't worry, it's fine, just go back to sleep" I said taking my bag and heading out

I have up to thirty minutes more, before my shift starts. Yes I know you must be wondering what kind of shift. Since I needed to be independent on my own and not wait to ask Tracy for my allowance, I decided to work at a restaurant which wasn't too far from my house to start earning money for myself. I work for about 4-5 hours and I'm paid 20 dollars every hour which means I get about a hundred dollars everyday and let's not talk about the tips I get from my customers
I ran as fast as I could to the restaurant immediately I got down from the bus. I had 5 minutes more till my shift. I ran and entered the restaurant startling my other colleagues and the customers there
"I'm sorry" I said while panting
I headed to the changing room to change my clothes and put on an apron, I also packed my hair so it wouldn't get in the way.
I went to meet my other colleague Josh to ask if there wasn't any orders yet and he said he had taken care of all the ones that came in
"but it remains one more order for the guy at table six, he ordered a stir fry pasta and a sparkling water only" he said
"okay, I'll go to the kitchen now to get it" I said and left for the kitchen
I collected the food and headed to table six
"Here's your order sir" I said and put the table then looked at him and my eyes met with the most beautiful and structured face I had ever seen, 'well not as beautiful and structured as chris' face' I thought to myself
"uhm, excuse me...is something wrong?" he asked me which brought me out of my thoughts
"No sir, I'm sorry"I said and took the tray and left.
We had so many customers and I also got many tips as well and I decided to work an extra shift.
I was so tired and yawned when Josh told me to just go home and rest. I checked the time and saw that it was already 10pm at night. I went as fast as my legs could carry me to the changing room and changed back into the clothes I wore before.
'i hope I catch the bus in time' I said as I waved goodnight to my colleagues and head out of the restaurant
Fortunately I met the bus at the bus stop and immediately entered so I wouldn't miss it. I was tired so I slept in the bus. I woke up to the sound of my phone and realized I had passed my stop by just a bus stop. I told the driver to stop so I could get down
I got down and started walking back home. it was getting cold already and I didn't have my jacket with me. I walked as fast as I could till I reached my street. My house was down the road so I had more walking. it was so dark that I had to reach for my phone and use it's torch and I started walking fast
I reached home and opened the door and entered. I'm sweaty and I'm also feeling so sleepy. at last I decided to just take a quick shower and after the shower I slept off.
Christopher's POV
I parked my car at the garage and took the elevator to my apartment. I live in a penthouse with my parents but they're not always home. if you're wandering yes I'm from a rich home and I live in money. However I haven't been happy, don't get me wrong, yes I'm rich but money doesn't always equal happiness. I had been in relationships where the girls just cling to me cause of my money and it's so annoying cause all the girls I've come across are like that.
I haven't introduced myself, sorry my bad. Hi, I'm Chris, 26 years old, the only son of my parents, I'm in my 4th year in university where I'm studying mass communications and also, I'm also the head of a publishing company that my parents own. people around me say I'm a play boy and a fuck boy cause of my lifestyle, I don't really care what people say about me because at the end they would all need my help and try to get with me one way or the other.
I don't have too many friends but I do have them. we help each other when we're in one kind of trouble or not. And yes, I'm single. I don't believe in love or relationship anymore, I feel it's just an illusion that we all desire at one point in our lives and some people end up living in that illusion forever

I entered my room and took off my clothes so I could take a shower. After showering, I put on my pyjamas and head to the bed.
I looked up to the ceiling and fell deep into my thoughts. I started thinking about 'her' again. I can't seem to get her off my mind no matter what I do
She's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, she's classy and funny and cute at the same time. The image of her pale beautiful skin kept on coming to my head. Her beautiful eyes which I could drown in. Her curves which were driving me crazy everytime I think about it
I slapped myself back to reality and I took my phone to go into the school platform to see what was being discussed there, when a call from my friend William came in
"hey man, how're you doing?" he asked immediately I picked the call
"I'm doing good, what's up?" I replied him
"you wouldn't believe who I ran into today" he said
"who?" I asked
" Amy, the girl you told me about" he said
"and how'd you know she's the one just from the description I gave " I asked with annoyance
"calm down man, I did a background check on her" he said
I kept quiet for a while and said "fuck off " and cut the call. I didn't want my friends to see her before they'll start developing feelings for her
I checked the school platform and was scrolling through when I saw a picture of a girl and I zoomed in on her face..." what the heck" I said and just put off my phone. I'll have to find out what this is myself.
