Chapter 5: Chapter 5: Visit

Chapter 5: Visit

After classes, I went to the Manga club, however the meeting got canceled today, for a very special reason.

"I told the president about One Piece and he was so surprised that he hadn't been hurt about it. If I am not wrong, he is negotiating buying the first 25 chapters and he didn't bring any new copies today…"

After hearing that, I decided to explore town a little and get something to eat. I knew that I had to bulk up to not look like a twig, so I was trying to eat at every change I got.

As the school day ended, and I went over for my first boxing classes, I saw a notification pop up to my phone.

I checked it since only 6 people have my phone number, and none of them are from this state.

[Mike: Hey man. Donna and I are coming to visit tonight if that's cool.]

I smiled and replied to his text happily. It seems like they truly cared about me after working with me for a couple of months.

Before the conversation ended though, I decided to ask Mike for a favor.

After that I went for my first Boxing class.

The gym had a large open space with high ceilings to accommodate the boxing ring and the hanging punching bags.

The ring was the centerpiece of the gym, surrounded by a padded floor for safety.

The ring was enclosed by ropes that the boxers can use to lean on or bounce off of during training.

The punching bags were hanging from the ceiling or mounted on stands around the edges of the room, with plenty of space between each bag to allow for free movement during training.

The bags came in different sizes and weights to cater to different skill levels and training goals.

The gym also has a variety of other equipment, such as speed bags, double-end bags, and medicine balls, to help boxers develop speed, timing, and coordination.

There was also weight lifting equipment and cardio machines to help boxers build strength and endurance.

The environment was designed to provide a focused and intense training experience, with posters and signs on the walls providing inspiration and motivational quotes to keep the boxers motivated.

The atmosphere was serious but supportive, with coaches and fellow boxers encouraging each other to push themselves to their limits.

I had a good impression after walking into the place.

"Hi. I signed up for private classes with Mr Krensimniac." I asked, as I walked into the place.

The receptionist there looked at me, before she said," Ah yea, Augustine right? The changing room is over there. After changing, go to the second part of the gym. It is identical to this public area, yet made for private sessions. Mr Krensimniac is already waiting for you." She instructed me.

Mr Krensimniac was the oldest one inside of this gym as an instructor. The reason I had picked him was mainly because…I was hoping with him being old he had no interest in the media and wouldn't know about me when I took off all my masks and contacts.

As I walked in, I could see a man at around 1.76m tall, and a decent body build, warming up.

"You must be Augestine." He asked, as my heartbeat in anticipation about whether he would recognise me or not.

"Well then, let's begin." He said, I sighed in relief and went for my training.

After I finished training, and returned home, I was surprised to see my door open.

As I walked in, I saw a redhead playing with Archer and smiled a little. Archer only let 3 people touch him. Me, Donna and Louis.

Mike tried to ambush Archer from behind, but the stealthy cat avoided him and ran towards me.

"How did you get in?" I asked, as Archer climbed my pants.

"Cause I'm Donna." She replied in a confident tone.

"Stupid cat." Mike said as he looked at Archer.

The reason why Mike was trying to catch Archer so much is since he has the fluffiest fur. Everyone instantly has this impulsive urge to pet him.

"Meow." Archer meowed as he reached my neck.

"He says 'says you.'"

"Hahaha." Donna couldn't help but laugh, and Mike had a sour expression.

"Anyways I baked Lasagna." Donna said as we walked into my kitchen.

"Oh, never had that one before." I said as I walked with them.

"I know, and I made it so it will be better than anything you have ever tasted." She said as we three sat down.

"Ah Mike, did you do the thing I asked you to?" I asked Mike, as he opened up the food while Donna set the table.

"Yes I did. But why did you ask me to do that though? He seems like a normal useless agent to me." Mike replied.

"You see there's this Sheriff I like and he's being impeached by the agent." I said.

"I read about that, yes. Sheriff Stilinske. He seems to be having it rough nowadays." Donna said as she put the food onto my plate.

"You helped Mike?" I asked in surprise.

"Even Harvey helped Mike." Donna revealed.

"Didn't you guys have your hands full with this Hardmen situation?" I asked, since Mike had told me this once when he had called me.

"We did, but Harvey said if we can't help family then what the hell are we." Mike said with a smile towards me.

I smiled too as he said that. It's been a while since I felt so happy.

"So when do you want to take care of this Sheriff business?"

"I was thinking you take him on as a Pro Bono client? If needed I can pay the fees."

"Billable. I don't think Jessica would appreciate it too kindly if it's not." Donna replied. Mike and I simply nodded since we both knew what Jessica was like.

"So why did you come here again?" I asked, as I put a piece of the lasagna into my mouth.

"THIS IS DELICIOUS!" I said, but my tongue got burnt in the process. They had heated up the food while waiting for me.

"MEOW!" Archer said, as he himself was trying the food.

He was purring while eating it so even the other 2 got that he loved the food.

"We came cause we were wondering if you were planning to start back anytime soon. Because if you did we co…" Before Mike could finish, Donna cut him off.

"Look, Mathew, we wouldn't lie to you. The situation in the firm isn't ideal. Right now you are considered a big time client due to your potential. Mike and I just wanted to make sure we would be your first pick if you started back anytime soon." Donna explained.

"Actually." I said, as I drank some water.

"I was thinking about releasing some songs onto spotify and youtube with a mask on. I might hate my parents for putting me through hell but I don't hate music…I miss playing." I revealed.

"Then let's do that. Just remember to sign us as your attorney, and to send me the songs so Mike can copyright them before any stupid claims happen." Donna told me.

"How about publicity? We need the channel to grow…"

"Mike, I think I wanna just let the channel grow. I don't want to do something over the top, so I would just let it spread by word of mouth. I am in no need of monetary gain anyway." I explained my intentions.

I wanted to play for the sake of expressing myself to the world, not to just make money. I can go back to that in the future.

"Alright then. I guess the geniuses are gonna go back to shitting bangers out. I will make sure to tell Rachel since she loves your music." Mike said.

Then, I got a teasing expression on my face, as Mike regretted what he had just said.
