Chapter 7: A family that protects one another
(Authors note: For future complainers, the suits world is a strong part of this verse, however everything will be revealed. As of right now, just know that I will transition to the Teen wolf world, this has something to do with the MCs mental health)
"Excuse me?" Rafe asked, as he snatched the card from Mike's hand.
"This is bullshit." Rafe spat at Mike.
"What's bullshit?" Mike fired back.
Rafe tried to control his anger, but it failed when his ex-wife and son were right behind him, and his reputation and relationship with his family he was trying to rebuild was falling apart.
"It's bullshit that the Sheriff is getting representation for an internal investigation!"
"So it's bullshit that the Sheriff is trying to defend his livelihood?" Mike asked.
"No, but I know that this is just a ploy. If a case is brought up against the state regarding this issue before I am even able to build up a case, it gives me conveniently lesser time to build my case. More than that it makes it extremely more difficult for me to do my investigation!"
"Well you should have thought about that before you decided to make a rash decision that impacted my clients livelihood." Mike told Rafe.
"How the hell is the Sheriff even able to afford you with his salary? What did he do to get in contact with you?" Rafe asked in annoyance, since on the card it was written that Pearson Hardman was located in New York.
"If you're insinuating something Agent Mcall, I would think long and hard before accusing a person working under the government without anything but innuendo." Mike reminded him.
"That's hypocrisy at its finest. I am a person working under a federal branch of the government and you are not letting me do my job." Rafe told Mike.
"Well unlike you we aren't doing our suits without proof." Mike said as he looked calmly at Rafe.
"What? You're suing me! On what grounds!" He shouted at Mike.
"No, we are not suing you…yet. If you go through with this impeachment case, we will be forced to sue you for abuse of power." Mike said.
"On what grounds are you accusing me of Abusing my power? The investigation started 2 days ago." Rafe said.
"Well you're going to find that out if you go through with the impeachment. Oh and before you go to sleep I would search up Pearson Hardman if I were you, and what type of cases we deal with." Mike said, as he left the house and walked towards us.
"Not half bad eh." I told Donna, as I finished another packet of the sweets.
"Harvey would have done better," Donna said, as Mike reached us with a smile on his face.
"Right here guys." Mike said, as he snatched Donna's sweets.
As I was entering the car, I asked him, "Wasn't the plan to mention his past behavior with his family?"
"We don't reveal our cards right now. We don't even have permission for the counter suit, that was based on a buff." Mike said as he entered the car.
"Yeah, the Sheriff doesn't seem like a person who might go through with this." Donna said as we put our seatbelts on.
"He will, when he realizes he needs his job for his son." Mike said as he drove off.
After that, Donna and Mike decided to spend some time with me, before dropping me off at my house. They had to leave, since New York was 7 hours away from where we were and they had to go to work in the morning.
"Thanks for coming to meet you. Truly. You make me feel at home." I told Donna as I hugged her and she hugged me back.
"Always." Donna said as teared up a little.
Mike nodded at me, as a sign of respect.
I nodded back to the only guy who listened to me in my time of need, and someone I had nothing but immense respect for,
Archer then came out of the house and started rubbing himself on Donna's feet, knowing she was gonna leave.
Donna picked him up and hugged the cat, and I could see Mike being slightly jealous. I took Archer into my hand and whispered into his ear a little.
Archer had always been able to understand me, and he seemed a little happy with the deal I made with him.
"Mike." I said, as Mike turned to me, while I dropped Archer onto the car's roof.
"Yes?" Mike asked in anticipation as Archer walked up to him/
"Archer said he will let you pet him, as long as you bring him expensive treats the next time you come."
As I finished my line, Archer sat in front of MIke on the car's roof, and raised his paw, asking for a handshake.
"DEAL!" Mike said, as he shook Archer's paw as he pet Archer.
I couldn't help but be happy as I looked at that interaction.

Once again, I woke up right at 5am, completely energized without an Alarm clock.
Archer was back to sleeping on my chest, so I threw him off of my chest and went to go through with my day.
I already made my first few changes to the plot but I didn't really mind.
I also didn't mind that Stiles was suspicious of me. While the Nogiistsune is scary, I have no reason to interact with the cast during their fight with the Nogistsune, so why would it come after me for no reason.
I also walked up into the 3rd floor, to record a song for the first time in a while.
I looked at the many instruments and couldn't decide which one to play.
I also knew many top hits from the other Earth, which had many artists that didn't exist in this world. I wanted to bring those masterpieces into this world as well.
I first picked up the Guitar, the first instrument my father had shown me when I was younger and messed around with it.
It had been a couple of months since I played music, so I had to return the guitar.
I looked around at my collection, even with my customly engraved name on most of them. The series of instruments were named after me after all.
All of the instruments here together were probably worth tens of millions.
I then checked my phone to see a notification from Mike.
[Mike- We just reached the office and updated Harvey, Jessica and Louis about what's going on. Louis was asking if he could pick the topic of your first song back.]
[Me: Sure, tell Louis to text me. Just give him my number. Could you also give me Harolds number]
[Mike: Alright give me a moment]
Right after that, I saw a notification for a group chat being made.
The ones inside of the chat were Jessica, Donna, Mike, Harvey, Louis and Scottie. The one who made it was Donna.
(Authors note: In this world, Louis and Harvey are way closer than in cannon S2)
[Donna: Well, since the prodigy was restarting music, I thought it would be unfair if Louis just got the first pick]
[Mike: That's fair I also wanted to give suggestions.]
[Jessica: Well, I am fine with listening to any of your music, Mathew. Just make sure it's good.]
[Louis (voice recording): Mike, I thought you said I could be the first choice and he said it's okay. You lying sack of shit when I get my hands on you…NORMA GET OUT!]
[Harvey: *Laughing meme*]
[Mike: Harvey you know memes]
[Harvey: How old do you think I am]
[Me: Let me know which topic you guys want]
[Donna: He does make the best Heartbreak music]
[Scottie: why does his first song back have to be sad though. Let's make it something cheery]
[Me: I want to do something cheery as well]
[Jessica: We don't remember asking for your opinion Prodigy]
As I read through the chat, I couldn't help but be a little happy. These people truly pampered me
The chat soon died down, since a lot of them lived extremely busy lives and I didn't really care. I knew that they would protect me no matter what.
I soon got Harold's number from Mike and I texted him while going to school.
[Me: Harold, Mathew here. I remember you told me you watched anime. Do you know anyway I can get a lot of copies of some anime here?]
