Chapter 10: Basketball Club Has Started
One week later...

Within this week, Ryu didn't have many activities besides his usual routine, plus his eagerness to start the basketball club.
On Tuesday morning at 6:30, the sun had risen and the atmosphere was quite cool in a fairly large backyard.
A young man who looked about 16 years old was doing pull-ups. He was wearing a black tank top with a lion design. As he lifted his body up, his muscles began to form, becoming quite strong.
Next to the young man was a man in his mid-forties. Although he was at an age, time couldn't erase his youthful and handsome appearance. He sat in a crossed leg pose, wearing a tight black shirt that showed off his well-formed and strong muscles that seemed to be rebelling against the shirt he was wearing. In his right hand, he held a long wooden ruler, tapping it on his left wrist.
The two men were Yamaguchi Ryu and Yamaguchi Satou.
During this week, Ryu asked his father to train him in physical activities so that he could be more agile in playing basketball.
Yamaguchi Satou, seeing his beloved son's perseverance, reluctantly agreed. Although he wanted his son to have a career in the violin like their ancestors, he couldn't crush his son's dream.
So, he agreed to Ryu's request in front of Katarina. He also said that during their physical training together, Ryu wouldn't be given any mercy, so he couldn't complain about what he would feel later.
All the heavy exercises given by Satou, Ryu was able to perform quite smoothly this week. When he made a wrong move, his father would lightly hit the part where he was wrong, like when doing bench press, one of his arms had the wrong position. When he lifted it only once, his father immediately hit him while giving advice.
The exercises he did lasted from after school until evening, and then he continued his day by evaluating his violin skills.
His father was also very strict about his food for bulking up. He talked to his wife, Katarina, about what Ryu should eat for the week. Katarina always supported Ryu no matter what, so for his future well-being, she followed her husband's advice, Yamaguhci Satou.
"Do five more, Ryu," Satou said to Ryu.
Ryu, with sweat covering his entire body and face, could only do his best.
He did five more pull-ups and then came down. He could feel all his arm muscles tense, but he didn't feel any pain in his body because he was used to doing this.
As he walked towards his father, he heard his father speak.
"That's enough for this morning, Ryu. Get ready for school. Your basketball club starts today," said Satou while looking at his watch.
"Okay, dad," Ryu immediately put a smile on his face and ran into the house to relax and then take a shower.
As Ryu was getting ready, Katarina prepared breakfast and a packed lunch for their little baby at school and her husband at work.
At 7:23 a.m., Ryu was already wearing his complete uniform for Tuesday. He then opened his closet and took out the clothes and sports gear he had just bought for his upcoming basketball club activity.
After taking his club basketball gear, he put it into his sports bag.
He then went to his shoe rack and grabbed the Nike Kobe 10 Elite basketball shoes he had purchased. Ryu put the shoes into his sports bag and was ready to go.
As Sakurayou High School utilized technology-based learning, he didn't bring anything other than his laptop, which he placed on top of his sportswear.
On the first floor, he saw his dad and mom in the dining room. His dad wore a black suit and formal attire, while his mom wore a t-shirt, leggings, and an apron still clinging to her body. He grabbed his breakfast toast and bid farewell to his parents.
"Take care of yourself, Ryu. Your activities will surely be exhausting," Katarina hugged her son and gave him a goodbye kiss.
Ryu promised his mom and dad that he would be fine. He ate his mother's toast while walking out of the house.
At the front gate, he saw his newly purchased Harley Fat Bob 114 motorcycle, so he grabbed his sports bag and put on his HARLEY DAVIDSON PILOT 3 IN 1 X04 helmet.
Ryu then mounted his motorcycle, and it roared with a fierce sound like a lion. Riding a motorcycle was faster, so Ryu arrived at school in just 10 minutes due to the lack of traffic. Upon arrival, he parked his motorcycle and placed his helmet in the storage area before heading straight into the school gate.
Ryu registered at the arrival gate using the eye sensor and entered the school
In the front yard, it is still bustling with activity. Many students are playing with their friends, some are sitting under the trees to enjoy the atmosphere, while others carry sports bags. Some are rushing to get to class. The atmosphere here is very lively.
Ryu walks to his classroom and arrives just 3 minutes before class starts.
Kring Kring Kring
The school bell rings three times, and all students are required to enter the classroom on time. There will be consequences if they are late.
After all the students have taken their seats, the teacher enters.
This homeroom teacher is a middle-aged man wearing a white shirt and black pants, and glasses. His faded eyes seem to explain his years of life experience, while his thinning hair appears to have been blown away by the winds of time.
Takeda Masao-sensei.
He enters the classroom and greets his students.
"Good morning, everyone."
"Good morning, sensei."
Then he places his bag on the desk and turns on the projector to start the lesson.
"Alright, this morning, let's begin with some guidance and evaluation before we get into my subject, mathematics."
Then all the students take out their respective devices.
Some are using iPads, gaming laptops, Macs, etc.
Ryu also takes out his device, an iPad Pro. He chooses the iPad because it's easy to carry, and he feels more comfortable using it than a laptop.
He takes out his iPad and stand and removes his hands from the desk to listen attentively to his homeroom teacher's guidance.
As Takeda Masao-sensei is giving guidance about the evaluation of the class regarding cleanliness and discipline, the sound system outside the class can be heard.
"Announcement. All new members of the basketball club are expected to be present now to start the club activities."
The announcement is heard five times.
After stopping, Takeda Masao-sensei immediately looked back at his students.
"Who among you in this class is a member of the basketball club? Raise your hands," Takeda Masao-sensei asked.
Then, the students who were part of the basketball club raised their hands, including Ryu.
"Alright, we have Maita Kiyomi, Sone Hiroko, Hirano Goro, Saiki Yuu, and Yamaguchi Ryu. All of you stand up and bring your sports bags to the sports building," commanded Takeda Masao-sensei.
"Yes, sensei," they all answered in unison, and lifted their sports bags to head towards the sports building.

In the first floor of the sports building, there were already many people present, including Ryu, on the basketball court.
