Chapter 29: You did a good job beating someone up
The long-awaited day for the start of the Sport Competition has finally arrived.
The five of them first went back to their classroom for their attendance then to the gym to watch the basketball tournament between classes.
The two Jiang Sisters along with Kang Jinhai sat on one of the bleachers.
Jiang Xiu with some of their classmates were holding pompoms to cheer for their class basketball team.
For it to be fair, one winner shall be announced each year. So Class Eleven's opponents are any team from the Third Year also.
The first game was between Class Two and Class Seven, which Class Seven had won with a big gap of points.
Then the second game, then the third game.
Then it was finally Class Eleven's turn against Class One.
Their classmates shrieked when the boys finally stepped unto the court.
Class Eleven scored first, a 3-pointer from Gao Tian, making their classmates cheer louder than before.
"Go Class Eleven!" Jang Xiu cheered as well as she pushed and shook the pompoms she was holding.
Jiang Yue felt like her eardrums were about to burst.
The two first quarters were a bit too boring.
Class Eleven dominated the game with a 20 points gap.
The other classes have already accepted the fact that Class Eleven will win every male sport there is. It was understandable because other than Class Eleven, the other classes all focus on their academics instead of such activities.
Then something happened unexpectedly.
Gao Tian who was dribbling the ball suddenly hit the opponent in front of him with it, causing the player to fall to the ground. Yet he did not stop there, Gao Tian grabbed the guy's jersey and pinned him to the floor.
The other players immediately grabbed Gao Tian and tried to separate the two but they weren't able to.
The referee had already gone up to them.
The other students started to murmur and speculate what happened.
Jiang Yue sat up straight as she observed the scene in front of her.
"What do you think happened Sister?"
"They must have pissed him off really bad this time." Kang Jinhai commented.
Jiang Yue narrowed her eyes. From their position, she can see the players' expressions clearly and the movements of their lips.
'—Don't believe me? She worked at the restaurant my family owned every weekend. I saw her flirting with some guys there. Not only is your section filled with delinquents like you but also whores like her. Both siste—"
The guy hasn't finished his words when a blow landed on his face.
This time, everyone started to panic as the fight seems to get a lot worse.
Jiang Yue's fists clenched tightly.
The languid feeling around her a while ago is now gone and is now replaced by a frightening demeanor.
Kang Jinhai perceived her changes and started to get nervous.
He wanted to watch something fun but it's a different matter if Jiang Yue got angry.
Wan Zhu grabbed his good friend's shoulder and stopped him from landing another blow to the other player, "Brother Tian let go!"
However, Gao Tian only tightened his hold on the jersey as his jaw clenched and said with gritted teeth, "I dare you to say that one more time."
"You thought you're something just because you're good at sports? I'm telling you---" Another blow landed on his face. This time Gao Tian didn't hold himself back and landed a few more punches.
He was only stopped when four people had already grabbed him.
The referee penalized Gao Tian and he's not allowed to play anymore. He sat on the benches at the side while the player he just beat up was sent to the infirmary.
Their classmates started to complain.
"Why does Gao Tian have to be a pain in the ass at this time! The only competition that we can surely win is basketball and soccer. Yet it's questionable now if we can still be the winner this time..."
"Gosh, Wan Zhu and he are the core players. Without him...." Their classmate didn't continue yet everyone understood what she meant.
Two quarters later, the game ended.
Class One won with a 9-point gap.
The players and students from Class One started to leave the bleachers and walked past them with an infuriating smile on their faces.
"I didn't expect for us to lose..." Whispered Jiang Xiu as she threw away the pompoms.
The four of them went to the bench where Gao Tian and Wan Zhu were sitting.
Jiang Xiu handed both of them mineral water which they accepted.
"Ay! Don't be so down. Although we lost, that was still fun to watch. It would have been better though if the other players also joined." Kang Jinhai exclaimed and Jiang Xiu simply rolled her eyes at him.
"You did a good job." Jiang Yue suddenly stated which made the four of them turn their heads at her.
Their expression was either dumbfounded or questioning what she meant.
"It's a pity you didn't angle your punch a little better or else you could have gotten his nose broken." She added.
"Big Brother, be careful with the advice you give, you could ruin a person's life with that." Wan Zhu commented.
"What other competitions did Class One joined?"
Gao Tian answered her question, "Several. They didn't bother with the men's sports because we've always won them so they probably focused more on the women's sports."
"Is it still possible to change the participant of a game?"
"Technically yes, as long as you're both from the same class."
Jiang Yue nodded then said, "Let's go."
"Where to?"
"I'm about to trash the women's sports." Jiang Yue answered with a storm brewing in her eyes.
