Chapter 2: 02. 1st day at school
I got off the bus and glanced at my phone looking in the direction of the school. Thank goodness it's only ten minutes walk from the bus stop. These G-Maps are very useful! Unsurprisingly, there were no students at the bus stop when I got off.
Entering the school gates felt like I had entered some kind of magic portal. Because the vibes in this school felt highly different. Everything here shouted 'expensive'. I looked around trying to find some kind face to who I could ask directions for the principal's office. Why do I feel like a kid lost at an amusement park right now?!
I tapped some random guy on his shoulder. He turned to me with a confused expression. He definitely looked a bit younger than me but was at least ten cm taller. Bro went through a different type of puberty... It's a given that the kids here a well-groomed but some of them looked even better than celebrities! I don't think this kid is fully Korean judging from his unique facial features which made him stand out in the crowd.
"Hello... I'm sorry. I am new here so can you please tell me where is the principle's office?", I asked him politely and gave him a small grin.
"Oh, it's on the second floor, fourth door to the right", he answered.
I bowed as I thanked him and followed the directions he had given. I knocked twice on the door and entered when a hear a faint 'come in'.
"Good morning sir, I am Choi Junseo." I introduced myself and gave the elder a deep bow.
"Ah... Junseo, I've been waiting for you. Here is your time-table." He said handing me a sheet of paper. "You're in class 10-A. It's on third floor second class to the left."
"Thank you so much sir", I said slightly bowing my head in gratitude and exited the office.
Seriously... this school is at least six times the size of my previous school! Middle school has its own building, cafeteria and even a playground.
I stood in front of 10-A as the teacher asked me to introduce myself. I held my head high as I smiled brightly. "Hello, my name is Choi Junseo. I hope we can get along well."
I saw some of the faces smiling back at me and the rest ignored my existence. Mr. Park my new homeroom teacher told me to sit beside Hyunwoo. I smiled at my seatmate as I sat beside him but he absolutely ignored me and continued scribbling in his notebook.
I guess he doesn't want to be friends.

Mr. Park had assigned our class representative Kim Jungwon to give me a short tour of the school. Jungwon and I along with his friends Hanbin and Jisung were going to the cafeteria.
"Wow Junseo... You must be very smart. It's rare for our school to accept honour students", said Jisung.
Before I could reply to him, someone bumped into me making me fall on my butt. I hissed in pain.
"Oh my! I'm so sorry...", the person I bumped into apologized and helped me up. Honestly, his face reminded me of that of a bunny. An extra large bunny.
"Why are you such a clumsy ass", the bunny's friend joked.
"How about you keep shut for a minute, hyung?"
"It's okay I'm not hurt", I said interrupting their quarrel and followed Jungwon to the cafeteria.
I chatted with my new friends as we enjoyed our lunch. I looked around trying to find my seatmate Hyunwoo but I didn't see him. Maybe he skipped lunch?

School ended at 4 pm and reached home around an hour later. I entered the kitchen and saw mom preparing dinner. I back-hugged her and rested my chin on her shoulder making her jump in surprise and lightly slap my shoulder.
"How was your first day, Seo-ah?", she asked going back to chopping vegetables.
"It was better than I had expected. I even made some friends", I replied in excitement.
