Chapter 6: CHAPTER 6 "LADY OF THE LAKE"
"As expected, cultivating my mana in this area would increase my mana faster than just normal meditation!" I spoke to myself with excitement though I felt quite disappointed that this lake is far from the estate it was still good enough that I knew of it, but something felt wrong from this place, if it had this amount of dense mana many mages would love to come here, though it may be far from the main city it would still be worth the trip but I've been here for a couple of hours and yet I'm still alone or am I really alone?
It has been about 2 hours since I started meditating in this place and I can already feel my mana flowing more smoother than before, I guess it might be an effect of being in an area with dense mana but one thing has been distracting me this entire time and that is the feeling of being watched by someone or something, its very unsettling but every time I try to look for it I can never find what or who it is that's doing so.

"What?! This skill already appeared?!!" I shouted in shock as I understood the words written on the floating screen. The skill that was brought to my attention and I somehow acquired is a skill naturally developed to most children at the ages of 10 to 13 when they start to attend the academy but I somehow got the same skill at the age of seven!
I looked upon the clear lake thinking 'This lake isn't just a clear mana rich lake!' as a dark figure of what seems to be a hand starts to slowly appear on the surface of the water and slowly covered the entire lake with a dark black dye, the sky turned dark as clouds covered the sun and the wind blew harder than before. A storm? A nightmare? No, I wish it was but what's happening before my eyes are as real as it can get.
A terrified look covered my face, it's a scene that would scare anyone with the fear of the unknown and darkness devouring everything in sight the figure slowly arose from the dark water, I froze but in a split second at the corner of my eye I saw...'Is that a magic circle?' I thought to myself and figured that this might just be an illusion.
"Come out! I know this is an illusion!" I shouted out of spite expecting no one to answer...
"whoaa! Did you just see through my spell?"
A womanly voice came from a distance as a figure appeared from a boulder on the other side of the lake. The sky cleared in an instant as if the gloomy darkness it displayed earlier never happened at all, the lake turned clear and the dark figure faded like dust in the air.
