Chapter 17: WRITER'S GREETINGS
"Yes I did it for the money but if you are going to insult me, I will take my leave and you can shove your money in your butthole, you money-making monkey."
In the upcoming month, how will these two pretend to be in love when they can barely breathe in the same room? He thought to himself as he watched the scene.
He has never seen two grown adults insult themselves as if they were children. Someone looking at them will think they have been enemies for a long time, no one will know that they just met.
Their insults were making the lawyer sigh in regret, he was a peaceful man and hated when people fought and made noise when he was trying to make a living.
If not that Mr. Haden had already paid him for his service, he would have left them without caring if they injured or stabbed each other. With the way they were arguing, it was only a moment before the fight erupted.
"I believe we are all adults here, the lawyer said suddenly. We should agree and settle this contract." I also want to leave, these two are the worst, he thought to himself once more.
His words and his posture calmed the brewing storm, and Jack and Lily cooled enough to listen to him.
"He should apologize before I sign anything." Lily huffed.
"Apologize! You are the one who should apologize for being unreasonable." Jack retorted.
They were acting like petulant children who were given a piece of chocolate to share and they were not happy with the fact, so they had to fight and argue to be the one to get the chocolate.
"God! These two are giving me a headache," he said silently as he massaged his temples.
They kept on throwing insults at each other once again, the lawyer became frustrated and blurted out, "I will apologize.
The statement once again cooled the heated atmosphere, he turned to Lily, I am sorry for everything he has said, it was all my fault." He turned to Jack, and I apologized on her behalf, "I am sorry."
"So can we focus on what we came here to do?" He shouted at them, not minding the fact that Jack was his boss.
They both conceded and grunted out apologies reluctantly...
