Chapter 2: 1 Awakening
Kim Yong-Sook was just an ordinary office guy who had finished his work early on that day.
"I'm Hungry" he said. "I should go to the Grocery store so i can buy some food and essentials."
As he was walking back home, he decided to stop by the grocery store to pick up some essentials for the weekend. Little did he know that this routine trip to the store would turn into a terrifying encounter.
As he was browsing through the aisles, he suddenly heard a loud commotion from outside. He suddenly felt a chill run down his spine. He looked at the direction where the sound was coming from.
"What was that?"
Curiosity got the better of him and he rushed towards the entrance to see what was happening. To his horror, he saw a figure looming in front of him, its eyes glowing red in the dimly lit store.
It was a demon, its skin black as night and its wings spread wide. He suddenly froze all of the sudden by the shock of what he saw. He ran and hid on the aisles hoping that the demon would not chase him.
The demon was causing chaos and destruction as it rampaged through the aisles, knocking over shelves and causing the customers to flee in terror.
"Don't come closer" he said in his mind.
Yong-Sook was completely cornered and had nowhere to run. He tried to hide through the aisled but the demon had spotted him and was quickly making its way towards him. Yong-Sook froze in terror as the demon approached him, its claws scraping against the concrete floor. The demon spoke in a low, menacing voice, "I have come for your soul, mortal."
Yong-Sook tried to back away, but the demon was too fast. It lunged forward, its long fingers reaching for his throat. Yong-Sook closed his eyes and braced for impact, but suddenly he heard a loud crash and felt a gust of wind.
Yong-Sook felt hopeless, the wound was deep through his throat and he knew that he wouldn't last longer.
"Kill me" he said in a weak voice. "I'm dying anyway and no one's gonna look for me when I'm gone, Go"
As he closed his eyes, he suddenly felt a strange feeling, a feeling he never felt before. He felt a rush of energy coursing through his veins. As if his blood was multipying.
The demon stabbed Yong-Sook again, but Yong-Sook smiled.
"Haha, so I'm like those guys."
At first, he was unsure of his newfound powers but he knew he had to act fast. He heard the loud sound of his blood as it gushed out of his body. As if it was a broken hose. Subconsciously, he was able to control the blood and shape it into a very sharp spikes, pretty much of a blade spikes.
He then pierced the demon's body using the blood spikes. He left tons of holes to the demon's body as he pulled out the spikes. He then began to black out and suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed. The store was in shambles, but the some customers were safe, while others are killed by the demon.
Short after, a member of the Demon Hunter Association came to the scene but when he got there, the demon was already killed and he saw a guy with blood all over his body.
"He must be the one who killed this demon...He's bleeding unbelievably, I should bring him to the nearest hospital as fast as possible or he's gonna die from blood loss!"
The customers were concerned about Yung-Sook, the guy who saved them from the demon and prayed for him to be okay. After that, a kid suddenly shouted, "Thank you sir! Please be alive!!"
The guy rushed to the hospital, he caught the attention of many people inside the hospital. The hospital staff sprang into action, rushing the man into surgery to try and save his life. He asked the doctor to take care of him.
He then called his fellow members from the Association, "A demon attacked a store on the Gangnam street, luckily it was killed by a mysterious boy, i took him to the nearest hospital. I ask you to clean up the demon and the store. Also, i want you to check the CCTV footage of the store, Thank you."
After the call, he suddenly thought, "(Who is that boy? How did he end up losing that many blood? Is it possible for a human to have that much blood?, i should take a look at him after hes been treated)"
He left the hospital and came back 5 hours later, the doctor approached him and said, "He's good now, he is at room 125 at the second floor. But i have a little concern about him". The guy replied, "What is it?". "An adult human has approximately 65-70 ml of blood per kg of body weight. Therefore, humans have around 5 liters of blood in their bodies. The volume of blood is approximately 5.5 liters in each adult male and 4.5 liters in female. I was just wondering how he got about 15 liters of blood out of him." the doctor answered complicatedly.
"Yeah, i wondered too how he got that much blood, maybe it was the demon's blood?" the Guy said. "That's possible, but i think we need to confirm if the blood really came from him. That's all thank you." the doctor said calmly. "Okay" he said in a weak voice.
"(I should go see him, maybe I'll find out what really happened.)"
