So, this is my first fic in a hot minute. I've been on a Danmachi spree and I haven't come across a Devil May Cry crossover. This is my attempt at portraying a Dante thats been reborn in danmachi. (Disclaimer: I don't own squat from either series. They belong to the creators)
_____________________________________________ He didn't know where he was, it was uncomfortable and tight. The sensations aside, he recalled his fight with Vergil. He remembered being impaled by Yamato and his twin brother removing his head shortly there after.
'What the fuck? Did I die?'
Something was shifting in this uncomfortable space. He felt like he was being squeezed all around his body.
'What the hell is happening?'
He didn't know exactly how long the sensations lasted. He just knew that the environment was now different. He could feel the touch of a giants hand cradling his body, the feel of a warm breeze. He tried moving his about without success and couldn't see anything around him.
'Why is my sight blurred, what are these loud noises?'
He felt himself being wiped down and greatly disliked the feeling of being manhandled like some kid. He opened his mouth to protest his treatment and all that he managed to get out was "Wahhh" the squeaking cries of an infant.
The warm cloth that was wiping him down made it to his face. He felt the soothing warmth of the wash cloth wiping his eyes and proceeded to open his eyes, Damn he's big! He was being held by an old giant of a man!
There was a commotion in this room aside from him being born. This was a room he could now understand to be a birthing chamber.
He could hear the screams of a woman. She was breathing heavily and clearly sobbing from pain. She was shouting for someone and yet he could not understand a word that was being said.
'She is still laboring!?' Zeus could only watch helplessly as Meteria bagan to push again. He and the healers were understandably surprised that she was bringing twins into the world. The first was a boy that had been mostly silent until he was wiped down of the fluid from being birthed. The second was on the way now.
From the looks of it, both are inheriting Meterías hair color. These two newborns are the remnants of his and Hera Familia. The screaming had stopped and the wailing of an infant could be heard in the room. The lad in his arms was squirming about and moving his head about.
'Curious lad, huh?' Thought Zeus.

Meteria was now holding onto he youngest, another boy he noted. Equally white haired as his brother and mother.
"Please bring him to me, Zeus-Sama." Said Meteria weakly.
The white haired, fair skinned lass was barely conscious. It made almost made Zeus weep for the girl. She just lost her partner, her familia. Her sister, Alfina, was missing or dead. He didn't have high hopes in either case considering the massacre that followed the great quest of The One-eyed Black Dragon.
Zeus walked over to Meteria and handed her the lad that was the elder of the twins. He could now see the boys icy blue eyes that he received from his mother. His younger brother had ruby red eyes, now that he was closer to see the boy. The eyes of his child. The child who would spy on Hera familia with him when they bathed. That child of his, who showed his mettle when he went against the Dragon that decimated his familia.'A coward he was, and at the end, he fought with all of us.'
"Zeus-Sama, I have request I'd like to ask of you." Meteria said weakly. She could feel herself slipping. She wasn't long for this world. She's never hated being so frail more than at this time. Her husband was dead, and her sister was most likely dead. She was now alone and her babies were about to be left with no one to look after them. Tears were already streaming down her cheeks as she thought about their future.
'I can hazard a guess as to what she'd like.' Zeus thought sadly.
"Please, Zeus-Sama, take them away. Raise them and shelter them. Protect them, and love them for me!" Meteria pleaded with the Deusdea.
Zeus was momentarily rendered speechless by the heartfelt request of the young ailing mother. "Of course, Meteria. I'll raise them as my own. They will be looked after, they are the last of my familia and my grandsons!" Said Zeus.
'Thank goodness!' Thought Meteria.
"The elder of two will be Dante, and the younger will be Bell. Dante and Bell Cranel." Said Meteria, while gazing upon her babies. " Be strong and be there for each other my sons. Mama loves you very much and I'll always be with you."
Zeus gazed upon the lass as her last breath left her. He scooped up the lads in his arms and prepared himself for the future to come. 'I need to have Hermes secure our escape from here and arrange for the burial for Meteria.'

'I'm a fucking baby and my mother just died. What kind of bullshit is this!? ' These were the thoughts going threw Dante's mind and he was carried out of the room with a crying baby. He could not comprehend this concept of being reincarnated and being fully cognizant.
'Wait, did she say Zeus!?' With the frequent name drop from his dying mother and his muddled hearing, that one name stood out!
'Zeus!? The King of Olympus!?'
___________________________________________ So, what do you y'all think? This is a danmachi/DMC crossover with Dante being reborn as the elder twin brother to Bell. I am going to try to portray Dante faithfully to his character in the games. This Dante will be slightly OC considering his twin brother put him under, so to speak. BTW. I need a beta.
