If Australia's conditions can be described as a bit excessive, then the conditions proposed by the Dutch government are simply absurd.
The Australian government's efforts and actions clearly indicate that a mere compensation of 100,000 pounds and an apology will not resolve the dispute.
Such conditions are nothing more than an insult and only strengthen Kent's determination to take advantage of the Dutch.
"If your country lacks sincerity in these negotiations, then I believe it would be better to settle matters through military force to determine the outcome. Regardless of the results, we will have no objections," Minister Kent coldly remarked, casting a disdainful glance at the Dutch representative, expressing his opinion.
Kent, who graduated from a military academy and previously served as the Minister of Defense for Australia, carried a military demeanor that naturally differed from the hypocritical politicians in his speech.
