Chapter 6: Chapter 5
From the shadows on a roof, Jaune slowly rose out of them. Taking a deep breath, Jaune looked at the prep school before him.
The school resembled a small castle, with its most prominent features being in its pink-granite walls, arched windows with a short tower on its center window, and an arched base entryway with the school's name carved into it.
'Well, these people are really arrogant.' Jaune thought, seeing that there were only two rouge huntsmen standing guard outside. Jumping down, Jaune landed in front of them softly, using [Molecular Manipulation] to create a cushion of air.
"Wha? Who are you?" One of the men said while pulling out a sword with a fire dust crystal on the hilt, while the other guy pulled a spear out with wind dust embedded into the shaft.
"I'm just here for a couple of things, and you're in the way," Jaune said while pulling out his sword. It was way different from before. It was a black one-handed longsword, and with the help of [Great Sage], the steel that made the blade was fused with dust which is crystallized magicules based on [Great Sage]'s analysis to create a magisteel sword.
With the properties of magisteel having a melting point of 10,000 C°(18032 F°), a self-repair function, and objects made with magisteel being able to grow with the user, Jaune's sword was now the strongest weapon on Remnant besides the Sword of Destruction.
Using his [Dark Flame] and [Body Armor] skills to wreathe his sword in black flames and gaining his body armor before dashing toward the sword guy first.
The two men reacted quickly to Jaune's charge, with the man with the sword bringing his sword out to block him while the one with the spear charged to assist the sword guy.
But it was all for naught because Jaune's sword, wreathed in dark flames, easily cut through the man's sword and struck him. His only saving grace was his aura which took most of the damage, but he was still burned nonetheless.
The other man seeing his partner being dealt with so quickly, stopped in his tracks which Jaune took advantage of to send a wave of fire at him causing him to scream in panic and pain.
While he was distracted, Jaune continued his assault on the sword wielder, who was now deprived of his weapon and stood no chance before his aura was shattered.
(AN: Okay, so let's get something straight; aura will work like it did in the beginning of RWBY with a constant barrier that is always active until it is shattered, where it will take a couple of hours to reform. Semblances will not work once the barrier is shattered.)
With his aura shattered, the man fell to the ground, thoroughly exhausted, but that didn't stop him from begging for his life.
"Wait, wait, wait! Please don't kill me! I can be useful to you. I know some secret stuff happening here that will net you millions of Lien! So please don't kill me!"
"I bet those children you've killed begged for their lives, right? When they asked for help while you looted their families' bodies and homes for all they had. So this was to be expected, karma coming back to bite you, that's all. So take your death with pride and be happy; your soul will help me, the future demon lord, to achieve peace in this broken world. So none have to suffer injustice again."
With that, Jaune plunged his sword into the man's chest and through the heart, slowly burning him, causing him to release a scream of pure terror as he died before the night was silent once more as Jaune consumed him via [Predator].

(AN: People with an average level of aura are worth 30 souls, people with an Intermediate level of aura are worth 50 souls, and people with a significant level of aura are worth 100 souls.)
'Huh.' Jaune thought in surprise, and doing the mental math, he now had soul energy that amounted to 93 souls. 'I guess that makes sense since the harvest festival is more about the soul energy quality than quantity, and the 10,000 souls used on average is more than enough.'
"Y-you monster." The spearman said with fear while dropping his spear.
"Yeah, not that I care. But now it's your turn, scum." Jaune said before breaking the man's aura and consuming the man.
With that, Jaune made his way through the school towards the dormitories killing any huntsman or huntresses that got in his way. Some provided a challenge that Jaune used to up his swordsmanship so as to not rely on [Great Sage]'s calculations in the future.
It didn't take long for Jaune to arrive at the dormitories, and considering all the noise from all the fights, it wasn't a surprise that a group of huntsmans and huntresses had assembled to protect the assassins in training/students. And while this would have been a perfect time to contact their boss Beatrix Browning but she was currently in a full-on war with Hei Xiong across the city, and Jaune was jamming communications in the area so while everyone inside could communicate remotely through their scrolls, they had no way to contact their boss.
"T-t-there he is, the l-l-little bastard that's been killin' e-e-everyone." One of them said fearfully.
"D-d-don't worry; after all that fighting, he must be low on aura. The ten of us can take him."
Before the man could say anything else, Jaune released a cruel laugh while a smirk could be seen from under his hood as he began to walk forward. "You know, the little group that tried to stop me said the exact same thing, and I think we both know how that ended."
The group backed up in fear but regained a lick of courage to charge at Jaune.
When the first person got close, Jaune dodged the sword by a hair's breadth before kicking him away and parrying the spear that got close and then using [Hard-Light Manipulation] to create a wall of hard light that blocked the arrows that were aimed at him.
Using his relatively small size to his advantage, Jaune weaved through the group near him and made his way to the three long-range fighters, with one using a bow while the other two used rifles.
Jaune weaved through the hail of bullets and arrows while deflecting any others that came too close. Once he was close enough, Jaune made quick work of the three because most people on Remnant either learned how to use one weapon or hand to hand and never both. So without their weapons, they were nothing more than just more durable humans.
Seeing three people die and then disappear left the men and women around Jaune fearing him. Taking advantage of that fear, Jaune decided to finish the fight quickly. Using [Sticky-Steel Threads], Jaune quickly tied them all together in a giant cocoon before burning them up with fire. The ones inside screamed for several seconds before it went silent.
With their souls collected thanks to [Great Sage] doing it for him, he was now entering the dormitories. There he saw most of the girls huddled up and carrying various weapons.
'Yeah, I don't have time for this,' Jaune thought as he quickly tied them all up. "Alright, listen, people. I'm going to take you away from here, and I'm going to do it all at once. Now if you don't want to die, hold your breath." Jaune said with a glare. Once Jaune saw them all holding their breaths, he moved them through [Shadow Movement] back to the warehouses.
After going through the entire dorm and putting the dresser and all the clothes in the closet in his stomach/inventory before leaving the school but not before setting the place on fire to get rid of all the evidence from what the school did and what happened tonight.
Jaune, seeing that the entire building was on fire, used [Shadow Movement] to head to his next destination, the commercial district where the fight between the Spiders and Xiong Family was happening.

When Jaune appeared in the commercial district, he saw a war zone. Dead bodies littered the area, with more fighting already happening.
"Well [Great Sage], I'll let you take it from here," Jaune said while releasing a yawn.
[Understood. Activating auto combat mode.]
With [Great Sage]'s confirmation, Jaune's eyes dulled before they became yellow. [Great Sage], now in control of Jaune's body, dashed toward the main battlefield killing anyone in its/his way.
Using skills like [Sticky-Steel Threads] and [Molecular Manipulation] in tandem, [Great Sage] was tearing through the battle with haste, and people were noticing, the most prominent being Hei Xiong and Beatrix Browning, who were locked in combat.
"Seems we have someone taking advantage of our fight," Beatrix said with a smirk while deflecting the axe aimed to remove her head.
"A temporary truce then," Hei said with a grunt before disengaging.
They both waited several minutes before the person they were waiting for arrived. He looked like the devil himself with his sword wreathed in jet-black flames and the glowing yellow eyes under the hood.
"So, who are you, punk? I don't recognize you." Hei said with intrigue, not recognizing the person in front of him.
But [Great Sage] continued to walk forward, not saying a word before [Great Sage] raised its/his hand up and then tugged back, causing Beatrix to be launched to [Great Sage] thanks to a concealed use of [Sticky-Steel Thread].
Once Beatrix was close enough, [Great Sage] jumped up and kneed her in the face before slicing down and releasing a wave of fire. Thanks to [Aura Sense], [Great Sage] was able to flip under the axe strike of Hei before landing on it/his feet and sending a strike of it/his own that threw Hei backward.
With Hei out of the way, [Great Sage] made its/his way over to the still-bound Beatrix.
"Do you know who I am!" She yelled in rage. "I am Lady Beat, and you have—!" Before she could continue, she was silenced since [Great Sage] had struck down and was met with the aura barrier keeping her alive. [Great Sage] continued to strike the barrier until it shattered, unable to handle the strain. With the pesky barrier out of the way, [Great Sage] raised its/his arm one last time before she was stabbed through the chest.
[One target confirmed kill. Now proceeding to next target.]
Pulling the sword out of the now dead body, [Great Sage] collected the soul, and then with a flourish of the blade in its/his hand, the blood that coated the blade was flicked off before it/he made its/his way toward Hei who was critically injured from the flames.
With a snap of its/his fingers, [Great Sage] used [Molecular Manipulation] to create spikes of ice that it/he sent forward to skewer the man to the ground.
'[Great Sage] I'll take it from here.' Jaune said, fully refreshed after taking an eight-hour nap.
[Understood. Deactivating auto combat mode.]
With that, Jaune's eyes returned to their vibrant blue.
"Sorry about this old man, but your resources will be beneficial to me. So just sit back and rest while I put your assets to good use." Jaune said before stabbing Hei in the chest.
