Chapter 9: Galar

[•—•{James Morgan}•—•]

Looking over at my father I start to sweat a little. It's because I'm nervous like any guy who has never tried to make a business.

I mean on Earth my life was kind of on a straight path. Go to school, get good grades then go to university.

Get job…

But here in the Pokemon world, I'm trying to create a seperate entity from the alliance and similar to an evil organisation like team rocket.

It just without the illegal parts.

On the surface at least.

"I wanted to make a seperate entity similar to Hunters Association. Instead of hunting Pokemon and killing though, it will be more mild tasks. It will appeal to the public more" I explain in detail. This went one for a little bit as gave father my notes of the ranks and requirements to hit those ranks.

My dad seemed intrigued by the idea and silently listened to my thinking. In the end though he had an apprehensive face that said it all.

"I'm not sure if this Adventurers Guild will work out James." Father says while hushing me closer to him. "Listen, what is your end goal here? Or goals? This is no small project that will take up a lot of your time. You aren't really considering many things such as where will the money come from?

Who will you hire?

How will this be stable and support itself?

Who and how will you get quests?

All of these things are essential to making you idea successful but aren't though out too well." Father says quickly shutting me up. My idea was torn apart from the inside while he exposed all the problems of it.

"I can't do everything for you James."

I didn't really feel too bad, it's just now that I realise how unrealistic something like a guild is.

'Fuck I know how to solve the problem but I can't just say "I know future champions and elite fours to sponsor and make me money". I think to myself contemplating.

"Well I'm not too sure either." I quietly murmur out in awe. My dad is a rich man in the end of the day and someone had to earn that using his brain.

So he must be really experienced at these types of things. From my knowledge my father was originally a low class civilian who worked his way up and married a noble girl.

His parents were farmers which didn't make for that great of a situation.

"I'm willing to let you try this out, kind of like a learning experience. But my impact will be minimal with your only help being Sebastian and a few million poke dollars. Don't expect success, this will be a trial and error sort of thing.

Sebastian will manage your organisation and make sure when you make a hiccup is that you won't get into too much trouble." My father says with a strangely wide smile.

[•—•{Sean Morgan}•—•]

'What a twist of events.' I think to myself in bliss.

These past few years have been the best for me as a parent. Gone was my timid and impulsive child, but now a monster preparing to strike.

I can see it in his eyes, the hunger for more. It's what I had in my younger days when I was still a little boy in a farm.

In all honesty I would be willing to spend tens of millions on James' growth. Seeing him flourish is the one thing I want to witness.

All this "encouraging" by Akane and I were not for naught. It might if seemed silly to pressure the little boy but neither me or my wife knew to raise a child…

We tried our best at first with the only we knew how to do which was spoil him, but overtime we spent less time with the child.

Let's see where his limits lie…

Taking a good look at the little monster in front of me I smile. He's still young and needs to learn from his mistakes after all.

"You can consider the adventurers guild a work in progress and will be worked on when you come back from the dojo. For now let's talk about the Cerulean Gym." I say in a serious tone.

'What has he come up in his mind now?'

"If it's okay with you, I want to pressure the family of the late Adam Williams to sell off the Gym. As you know Gyms can either be Alliance owned and is assigned to someone, a self made gym which has either affiliation with the alliance or not and a Gym passed down from family members." James explains in serious way, mimicking my earlier words when I told him about his last ideas flaws.

"I think I can make out what your saying, but why would we need a gym?" I retort looking at James with an amused expression.

"Each gym when taken ownership of has certain properties that at come with it. For the Cerulean Gym it includes the biggest Squirtle breeding ranch in the world, multiple open fields to store and let owned Pokemon roam, getting to own a talent scanner and many others that I've listed.

This is where starting trainers buy their first ever Pokemon using a large sun of money from either their parents or a loan.

This will not only help me promote my adventurers guild but will fix my stability issue, finding talents, money and finding quests for the guild as I'll be a trusted gym leader." James finishes off, rounding up the whole conversation in the end.

Hearing his words I honestly don't know what is happening. But as long as it gets him closer to the top of what he wants then I'm all in.

'I really want to see him battle.'

Funnily enough though, the last part of his little speech was him speaking out of his ass. I wont reprimand him as I already had with his last idea.

Chuckling to myself I agree to his words and get Sebastion who I dump all my work, to set up James' request.

"As much as I'd like to blab to you about responsibilities as a gym leader I'd rather not. I will just go back to my office for a little bit" I tell him in a tired tone as I make my way out of the dining room. How fun, I'll get to pressure a family for real estate and the responsibility of a gym leader title.

"Cheeves I want the information of the Williams family on my desk."

With the shadow under me which was a Pokemon leaving, I make my way towards my office and take a seat.

'Oh how boring my day is. Well it's better than using a rake to plant seeds any who.'

While stuck in my musings a document falls on my desk. Grabbing the documents I take a look at the information of each of the Williams or now Waterlily.

'Oh I see why he chose to target this gym.' I think to myself with a grin. How unruly for my child to target such weak people…

When they're still recovering from their fathers death, their mother who has no idea about the Pokemon world like myself will not know what to do.

And if I casually swoop in and pressure her to sell it, I could probably low ball it and get it for practically nothing.

With a evil grin threatening to appear, I chuckle at how devious James' idea is. It's flawed dont get me wrong but with the right tools the solution is practically given on a silver platter.

Exiting the room I head towards the front gate to say goodbye to my son who will be going on a two year trip.

[•—•{James Morgan}•—•]

"Finally that stressful talk was over." I groan out. Now feeling a bit of relief from getting pass the talking section of my plan.

With social media going to be uploaded by me sometime soon. I'll need a Porygon at some point of time.

Ignoring these thoughts I head over to my room. Looking around for my original red bag, I spot something else in there.

There was a bag with a light grey design which had a tint of dark blue on the edges. It looked like your typical trainer bag but instead of a normal one I could guess what this was.

Getting closer to the bag I saw two sticky notes on it.

"This bag is a gift from my father -Bill"

"Young master everything is packed and ready for you to go. Clothes you can wash YOURSELF at the dojo. The bag is already loaded with Pokeballs, Pokemon food, fishing rod, cap, essentials like tooth brush and tooth paste, potions, tent and a table set with chairs. -Hopkins"

"Holy shit that's a lot of stuff." I murmur looking at the note. It seems like so was gifted a spatial bag which is a nice addition.

I would never say no to free items of course!

Not sure if it's legal for me to own Pokeballs though…

But that's future me's problem anyways. Taking the bag in glee, I head towards the front gates with my Pokémon's Pokeballs at hand.

"Young James are you ready?" Hopkins tells me as we entered the limo.

"Yeah, I'll see you in two years Hopkins." I respond. The car ride to the teleport centre took a few hours before we arrived.

Looking around the place there were a few people walking around but it mostly consisted of rich people in suits.

"Take this master James, it's your ticket to enter to the dojo. Just show this to the man who you teleported to and you should be fine." Hopkins informs me.

Before walking through those doors though I give Hopkins one final hug, before talking to the person at the front desk.

"Ah hello, I've got my teleport scheduled."

*Blerghhh*

Next to a train station in the Galar region, a child could be seen vomiting in a paper bag

"Fucking hell man, no matter how many times I go. This always happens."

Venting my anger on the paper bag, I soon after threw it off as I spotted the front desk of the train station.

Walking up to the man in front, I quickly greeted him."Hello sir my names James Morgan. I've got a Corviknight flight booked to the Isle of Armour."

The man looking at me, greets me back and soon after points me toward a direction. Looking over at my left, there were a few burly men with goggles on.

"Just head over to number three, the number should be above the Corviknight."

Thanking the guy, I started to look around a bit. I still have a 10 minutes before the ride so I can explore. Taking in my surroundings a bit, I navigate the big train station with multiple stores and cafes. Unlike the games this place was wide and had more than one train going at a time.

"Oops I forgot."

Muttering this I take out three Pokeballs.

*Phzssszszt*

"Bel?'

"Growlithe!"

"Riooo!"

The three Pokemon tasting freedom, get a confused look seeing their surroundings. Gathering them up, I explain my situation to them.

"Let's go eat some food."

Saying I went to a caffe which Pokemon could also visit. Unsurprisingly my Pokemon caught a lot of attention with my Metang getting the most of it.

Other than this the little exploring I did with my Pokemon was quite peaceful.

This went on for a little bit untill I realised my time was up.

"Where did he point again."

Panicking a little because of my mistake, I "calmly" speed walk around trying to find the Corviknight station.

This went on for a little bit until I found it due to Growlithe separating from me.

"There you are, did ya get lost mate?" A man says with a wide grin." Looking up to the clearly taller guy I sigh in relief.

"Yeah I did and still am, are you the guy who's gonna bring me to the Isle of Armour?"
