Chapter 121: Ch.120 Farewell(3)
"Now, don't rush Ryuu."
Shizu says as she arrives next to Ryuu. Looking at his face she blushed a little and continued with her words.
"Let's talk inside."
She says to all of them as she opens the main gate of the academy.
"Ok, then let's go inside you guys."
Ryuu also pitches in as he enters inside, the kids nod their heads as they follow along.
Entering inside the building Ryuu is hit with a wave of nostalgia as he looks inside, after all this place does hold dear memories of his.
"So how have your travels been."
Shizu asks as she looks at his eyes with a tilted head.
"Quite thrilling I would say."
Ryuu replies as he smiles at her, seeing his smile Shizu turns her head back from Ryuu as she tries to hide her red face.
Ryuu also doesn't notice it... or acts like he doesn't notice it.
"Ah, also thank you for all you have done for the kids."
Shizu as if remembering something quickly says as she bows her head, grateful for the things he had done for the kids.
"I also heard about the fight. Sorry That.."
As she tries to apologize for something she couldn't control Ryuu holds her head and makes her look into his eyes.
"Don't worry Shizu, after all as their teacher I only did what I had to. Plus you had your own problems so there is no need for you to feel sorry about it."
Ryuu's says as he gives her his kindest smile.
"Wooo"
Alice shouts from the background as she nudges Chloe's shoulder who is looking at the interaction between Shizu and Ryuu with complete focus.
"You got quite the competition."
Alice says in a hushed tone as she points at Shizu's body and then at Chloe's body.
"I- I am still growing."
Chloe says in a soft voice as she internally compares herself to Shizu.
"Well, don't worry I will rote for you. After all, you are my friend."
Alice continues as she gives Chloe a thumbs up.
"Thank you."
Chloe says feeling great happiness hearing her friend's words.
Shizu turned her eyes to look at them for a second before focusing back on Ryuu.
As they entered the main resting area Ryuu sat on the couch as the kids gathered around him.
Alice jumped on his lap as she dragged Chloe along with her.
"So, So can you tell me how you defeated the demon."
Kenya as energetic as always asked the meat of the story and Ryuu happily answered him. Shizue left the room to bring them some drinks and food as Ryuu continued to tell the kids about his adventures.
"Oh, I got gifts for you guys."
Ryuu said and as those words left his mouth all of the kid's eyes lit up.
'I guess they get excited for such things no matter how much they grow up.'
Ryuu thought to himself, after all, they aren't that much younger than him.
"Here"
Ryuu said as he took out five items from his inventory.
He handed a beautiful silver hairpin, with a design of a golden bird with multi-coloured features to Alice.
"Yayyyyyyyy~"
She shouted out with excitement as she hugged Ryuu with all her might.
After Alice, Ryuu handed a locket with the design of a sword as its main piece to Kenya.
Quickly wearing it he marveled at it as he started to show it off.
The others looked at him in anticipation and Ryuu didn't disappoint, handing Gale a bracelet with an Eastern dragon design and then a bracelet with a falcon design to Ryota, Ryuu looked at his final gift.
"Here this is for you."
Ryuu said as he gave Chloe a necklace with the design of a lotus flower with a sky-blue gem in the middle of that flower.
"Thank you."
Chloe said with a smile on her face as she looked at the gift handed by Ryuu with great fondness.
"Sensei, can you put the hairpin on."
Alice asked as she got Ryuu's attention.
"Sure."
Ryuu replied as he put the hairpin on the place he thought suited her the most.
Giving a little nudge to Chloe, Alice stood up from Ryuu's lap as she said.
"I am going to check it out on the mirror.. You guys also come with me."
She said as she left the room and also dragged the other three with her. Now in the room, there were only two people Chloe and Ryuu.
"umm. Ryuu sensei."
Chloe's voice broke the silence as she turned her head to look at Ryuu's face.
"C-Can you put this on me."
She asked in a small and cute voice as she looked at Ryuu's golden eyes.
"Sure"
Ryuu said with a smile on his face as he took the necklace from Chloe's hands.
So with a gentle motion of his hands, he put the necklace on Chloe's neck as he said.
"You look beautiful."
Hearing his compliment Chloe didn't say anything but just turned her head down.
Outside the room a figure could be seen standing, she had a tray full of drinks and food. This figure was of course Shizu.
She had arrived some time ago but stopped in her tracks after listening to the conservation that was going on inside.
She as Chloe's teacher had already known Chloe's love for Ryuu, but she didn't realize that her love was this serious.
So now she has been hit with a dilemma, so should she focus on her happiness or her students's happiness?
So after thinking for a while using thought acceleration, she came up with a single answer, why not both?
After all from where she came from although not a common practice, monogamous relations weren't that rare. Although only followed by rich people or politically strong people.
So the only thing left for her is to confess to Ryuu and tell him about her love for him. The love which only continues to grow as time passes on.

Well, well, well the first volume is almost about to end and the second volume will mostly focus on personal relations for the first half.
Anyway, what I want to ask you is to submit a picture of a white-haired man laughing to himself. Manic laughter is more welcomed.
