Chapter 13: Time Skip: Assasination

Three months later, within a huge dungeon, in a forest range, a silver haired youth with a white blindfold sat on a pile of direbeast carcass, with his sweatshirt soiled with blood.

" Ares how is the kid doing?" He telepathically spoke as he completely relaxed on the carcass of a huge tiger like direbeast.

" Sir, he's doing really well, although there's something going on with him you should know." The AI spoke as Silver put on his earpiece.

" Just say it Ares, stalling won't make it any better." He said, mentally preparing himself in order to lash out at any bad news.

" Well Sir, the young master seems to have joined a group of notorious mercenaries and is now wanted." The AI spoke briefly, wanting to decrease the severity of the situation.

" What???" Silver exclaimed, as a psionic energy burst out of his body, causing a fierce wind to blow. " Ares send him an email for me!! If he doesn't leave the mercenary group immediately, I'll never look for him again!!" Silver burst out in anger, an event that was extremely rare in of itself.

" Sir. I don't think it's the right course of action. The young master has grown a lot in these few months and his progress is extremely fast. He should be made to walk his own path." The AI suggested.

" No Ares! He's just 12 years old. He shouldn't be doing something so dangerous!!" Silver spoke with anger clearly visible on his face.

" The young master might be 12 Sir, but you're only 15 as well. Your concern is warranted, but he should walk his path, just as you walk yours." The AI insisted.

" Dont talk back at me Ares. Just execute the command." Silver spoke with clenched fists to which the AI replied, " As you wish Sir."

.....

" Could this day get any worse, we have no supplies left, no water, nothing. Even Silver is in a bad mood, and he lacks emotions!!!"

A few minutes later, Samael arrived with Moon. They both looked ragged and tired as Samael exclaimed in frustration.

Moon looked at Silver who was frustrated and her eyes gleamed in surprise.

" I'm going to take a look around, maybe I might meet other teams and rob them off their supplies." Samael spoke with a crafty smile, before his wings burst out of his back and he disappeared in a flash of silver light.

" I've never seen that look on your face. " Moon walked up to Silver and spoke with her eyes fixed on him. " You know, if you have any issues, we can always talk about it right? " She added as he placed her palm on his shoulder.

" Dig out the cores of the direbeasts and prepare a report for the last few days. I'll look at it later."

Silver took her hand off his shoulder and walked away leaving a few words.

" Sigh. " Moon fave a frustrated sigh and immediately got to work.

.......

... A few hours later, Moon was sitting on a piece of rock, recounting the number of direbeast cores she had harvested when she suddenly frowned and got up in a hurry.

" Who's there? Show yourself now?!" She felt slight movement in the grass and rustling of leaves as her mana immediately erupted from her body.

Waving her hand forward, a sword made out of dark energy rushed out and pierced the spot in front of her, however nothing or no one appeared.

" What a feisty little lady." Immediately she calmed down and lowered her guard, she heard a voice with an Irish tone, before she saw three figures walking out of the deep expanse of trees.

" You are not students of this institution, so who are you?" She immediately assessed the situation like she had learned from Silver over these past few months and remained calm. The group consisted of a brawny looking mercenary who had a long scar on his face, a tall scrawny guy in army shirt and combat boots and a fierce looking female.

" What a smart little lass you are." The leader of the group spoke with a sneer.

" 2 level 4 arcanists, and a level 3 arcanist." Moon immediately have a rough overview of the situation in her mind as she internally circulated her mana. She just broke through to level 3 and although she could fight off a peak level 3, level 4's were too much for her.

" You're right little lady, we're not students, in fact we came to settle a score with someone. The one they call Ghost." The leader spoke as he took a seat on a rock.

" I don't know what you're talking about." Moon replied. " Of course you don't little lady, he wouldn't be Ghost if he gave out his identity so easily." The leader smiled.

" You see little lady, Ghost happens to be a student of this school, he looks like a normal person just like everyone else, however he is murderer, a thief and most importantly, he's the country's most wanted criminal right now." He played with a little rock as he spoke with a grin."

" I don't know why you're telling me all this." She asked as she felt a very bad feeling.

" Well little lady, from our little research, we found out that Ghost happens to be a member of your unique class, a member of your group. Have any ideas now?" He looked straight into her eyes and observed her every reaction.

" No way!!! It's him?!" She exclaimed in her mind and lost composure for a split second.

" We got her Captain Price." The scrawny looking man smiled deviously before murmuring to the leader.

" Now tell us where he is little girl." The leader spoke with a demanding gaze. His eyes boring holes into the poor girl's soul.

" I don't know what you're talking about." She steled herself, before her eyes turned fierce.

" Sigh. Barbara, take care of her." He sighed and signaled to the fierce looking lady, who walked towards Moon with a fierce smile, like a predator stalking its prey.

" I'm going to enjoy carving up that pretty face of yours little bitch.." She gave a small wicked laugh, before an icy blue long katana materialized in her palm, as cold winds swept all over her body.

Moon slightly waved her hand, before a long dark scythe covered in intricate symbols materialized in her hand.

" Hahaha. The fierce female mercenary gave a wicked laughter and immediately rushed towards Moon, showcasing superior speed and agility.

" Clang! Clang!!" Moon took a step forward and swung the scythe forward, which caused sharp swords to shoot towards her at fast speeds.

Seeing the swords approaching, Barbara immediately used her superior agility, dodging the ones she could and cutting through the ones she couldn't.

In a flash, she appeared before Moon and immediately engaged close combat with her.

With every clash, Moon felt herself getting pushed back. Revealing an opening, Barbara immediately sidestepped to the right and delivered a quick but brutal kick to the ribs of Moon, pushing her several meters back.

Stabbing her sword into the ground, she immediately waved her hands, before several small daggers rushed out, piercing towards Moon as she tried her very best to dodge.

Seeing Moon's frantic appearance as she dodged, Barbara immediately kicked her sword up into the air, performed a complete 360 degree flip and kicked the sword heavily.

" Arrrghhh!!" Completely distracted by the daggers, she failed to notice a silent sword hearing her way. Instantly the sword pierced into her shoulder, completely nailing her to a tree, as she let out a painful cry.

She wasn't weak, in fact, under normal circumstances, she could've fought most peak level 3 arcanists to a draw, however Barbara wasn't an ordinary level 3 arcanist. She was a mercenary with years of combat experience and high battle IQ.

" Aarrghhh." Instantly, a huge fist smashed into Moon's abdomen, as the tree she was nailed to instantly collapsed and she was sent flying, smashing into several other trees.

She coughed out large amounts of blood, as an intense pain wracked her entire body.

" Barbara, Barbara always playing with your food." Captain Price spoke, as he opened and closed his fist.

" Finish her" He spoke and walked away to sit back on his stone.

" Yes Sir." She nodded humbly and immediately stretched her hand. Soon dozens upon dozens of ice swords and spears formed, before they shot towards Moon who was even struggling to circulate her mana.

The icy blue swords reflected in her pupils as realization dawned on her. " I'm going to die? I'm weak?" Thoughts flashed through her minds, as memories of her family began to surface in her mind.

She slowly closed her eyes and accepted her fate. However just as the swords were about to completely eradicate her, she a felt a gentle force wrap around her body, completely shielding her from the swords.

Slowly opening her eyes, she saw a familiar silver haired figure standing in front of her with his back straight, his stance oozing maximum confidence and aloofness. And this time his blindfold was off, revealing a pair of dazzling silver eyes that looked like gems.

At that moment, she felt her heart bloom, like a rose flower in its season.
