Chapter 37: Battle in City of Desert Part 4
"Since, you want to kill me, then come on!"
Although his powers were a bit strange, Shin wasn't afraid of it.
He simply raised his hand and welcomed that man.
The man furiously gazed at Shin but he didn't move immediately. Instead, he simply raised his hand, and the green substance changed into a spear.
He caught the spear with his hand and threw it toward Shin.
"What's the use of such an attack?"
Shin simply raised his hand and caught the spear from the middle before even it could touch his body.

Suddenly, that spear turned into a massive jelly that splashed over his body. It only lasted for a few seconds but it managed to stick all around his body.

Shin tried to move but the stickiness of the jelly was so good that he couldn't rush out of it. But, the jelly wasn't exactly sticking against his body but rather the ground and his body.
'It is not rubber because it is impossible for rubber to simply change into this kind of form. But, it does have the properties of rubber.'
'So, it should be something like glue or it could also be gum. Wait, if you pressurize gum, you can simply mold it in any shape you want.'

Shin's eyes narrowed.
The sharp silver needle that was the size of a head appeared beneath his foot. With the manipulation of his energy, he spun the needle and dug a hole beneath him.

So, when he kept digging away, the jelly pulled out the pieces of earth and followed him underground.

The man was shocked to find that Shin had gone underground. But, he didn't panic. He knew that Shin wouldn't be able to escape from that gum.

Shin was constantly moving inside the ground with his drill until he reached a certain distance.
He stopped as he couldn't continue breathing anymore.
There was no air underground.
He started pumping out his Qi around his body, forming a protective shield. This shield was between the gum and his body but because it came between two, now he couldn't remove his protective shield.
Of course, for the next trick that he planned to use, he doesn't need to remove the protective shield.
He burst out his Qi in all directions with an intense speed and created a spark over his barrier.

The ground started shaking. The entire underground was moving faster and faster as the fire inside it tried to escape.

Suddenly, his body was covered with thousands of drills that pierced through the hardened gum and the powerful flame burst out of his foot.
His body simply crash upward as a hundred drills on his head started carving his way out.

As soon as he got out of the underground, he jumped to the side and a massive pillar of flame shot out.
It reached nearly the height of twenty meters before crazily spreading around.
"You managed to remove the gum that I created?"
The man saw Shin coming out of the underground without gum all around his body and was stunned by it.
He knew the stickiness of his gum. He knew that it was impossible to escape from it even if someone uses a barrier around their body.
That gum will simply stick to the barrier and you won't be able to remove the barrier.
But, he suddenly realized something.
"You use the flames to harden my gum. But then, how did you manage to break free from hardened gum? Do you have another ability?"
Shin didn't reply to his question immediately. Instead, he stood up and patted the dust out of his body.
Because he was moving underground, he was covered in dust. While patting off the dust from his body, he spoke.
"My decision to fight you was indeed correct. This world is full of people with different abilities. If I can't find a way to deal with these various abilities, I will simply die before even starting my journey."
"Since that's the case. Let's start by defeating you."
Shin slowly walked toward him.

Shin's eyes narrowed as he looked around.

Suddenly, the lance passed by his right side as he dodged to the left.

That man tried several times but each of his attacks only struck the air. It didn't even touch him.
"What's going on? How can you keep on dodging my attack?"
The angry voice rang but there was no figure around him.
Slowly, his mind began to forge the proper movement of his enemy.
His ear was perfectly capturing every single sound that his enemy was making, allowing him to create not just the position but also the movement of his body in his mind.
"So, you are using the capabilities of rubber to make your legs like spring and jump around at an extremely fast speed."

Shin's voice rang as he kept dodging the attack. But, suddenly, he swung his fist to the right where in his mind, he envisioned the position of his enemy through the sound.
His arm turned silver and the blazing flame covered it. The red-hot silver arm struck the head of his enemy before even he could react.
Bang! Whoosh!
That man flew out like a cannonball and struck the ground nearly fifty meters away.
Suddenly, a powerful flame burst out of his red hot silver leg. His body dashed toward the enemy and reached in front of him in less than two seconds.
He clenched his fist and threw it toward the ground.
That man saw it coming and he used the spring on his foot to push himself away from the fist.
Bang!
Shin's fist collided with the ground and the flame turned the ground into a burning piece of rock.
The temperature of that rock was so high that in just a few seconds it started melting.
"Wow! Hina, can you do that?" Barry's eyes sparkled when he saw Shin's high-speed movement and powerful punches. He quickly turned his eyes to Hina and asked.
Hina shook her head and said.
"It's not that whether I can do it or not. It's just that our ways are different. I rely on my exceptional Qi Control to keep my body safe while increasing the temperature of my flames."
"This is how I can make the temperature of my flame reach up to 1000 degrees. On the other hand, Shin is using his Iron Body to bear the temperature of his flame."
"Since he can turn his body into Iron, he can naturally resist the heat from his flame. The melting point of Iron is over 1500 degrees."
