Chapter 4: New Roommate

Just like that, four days had passed since Tang Miaoyi Transmigrated.

She had called her teacher asking for a few days off, citing that she was sick. Her front door remained unopened for almost the entity of those three days, save for picking up a food delivery.

the majority of her time was spent producing her new single, and the main pieces of "Fox" were finally finished, except for auxiliary melodies and finishing touches. But, those could come after.

The melody is still the unpolished, initial melody, expressed by a simple synthesized piano. The timbre and sidechain are yet to be finalized, with the main melody needing to be placed first. The most important part, the drop, was also left temporarily empty.

While the track directly following the drop is completed, the actual drop itself is not. She needs the little white fox Da Mian first, to set the finishing touches up.

There's still a long way to go!

Of course, in addition to all these business matters, after she was done with things, she gained a quite thorough understanding in her spare time about Chinese entertainment. It was pretty much what she remembered, except of course for the development of electronic music which is too subtle, and heavily leans towards pop.

For example, the traditional music industry, the literary industry, the game industry, and so on, all present a thriving scene.

Although due to the development of electronic music, gaming music has changed quite significantly...

As we all know, the most popular games in the Chinese market in the previous life were e-sports Mobas, and games marketed towards young people, such as Battle Royals, shooters, and 2D games.

These games all have one thing in common. They are quite accomplished in music, especially electronic music!

Especially the king of the gaming world - [League of Legends], was once called a music company that also makes games by players. They not only launched a stunning DJ skin with original music for a certain hero, but during the Championship finals a DJ in the top 100 was invited to make the theme song for the competition.

In addition, there are certain games entirely based on these styles of music and are intrinsically linked with electronic music. With the current development of electronic music, these types are almost non-existent.

However, games like League of Legends and battle royales still exist, and are still in the dominant position of the game industry.

Tang Miaoyi inadvertently searched for these games and was quite surprised, as an ancient, almost historical gamer, she even downloaded a few of them.

But she ran into her problem once again, when she tried to learn about the attached industry's information. She had casually found a League of Legends-style MOBA and clicked an official video, but the first thing she heard was those insidious electric voices and operations paired together.

For Tang Miaoyi whose taste has been fine-tuned and refined countless times, the electro-acoustic screeching, which was enough to kill a senior citizen, naturally almost caused her to be physically sick.

To make an analogy, when you're looking for a book, you can easily be turned off by subtle things very quickly.

Naturally, some of these problems you most likely will overlook, especially when you're new to reading, but after a while? Things you could tolerate before become repetitive and boring, and completely ruin a book for you!

As such, Tang Miaoyi has absolutely no desire to play these games, besides to pass the time.

"It's a bit pathetic." Tang Miaoyi sighed deeply and turned off the video. She glanced at the phone number left on the table by the An girl and took out her phone.

Well, it's already 6:45 p.m., and most students should have already finished their classes.

Now that the preparation has all been done, it is time to carry out the most critical step.

  "Ding~"

After making a phone call, it doesn't take long for the doorbell to ring out.

Through the door's peephole, she could see that the visitor was none other than An Qiuying, holding the little white fox... and a delivery boy wearing an orange jacket.

The takeaway she ordered just now arrived at the same time.

  Click~

After opening the door, and looking at the familiar face, Tang Miaoyi smiled and greeted her, "Hello, sister An, nice to see you again."

"Mm-hmm." An Qiuying nodded in response and couldn't help but look up and down at Tang Miaoyi, who was still merely wearing a set of pajamas with a long jacket and messy hair. The corners of her mouth twitched a little.

This... This is who the teacher said was the class president. The popular goddess of the class?

This picture does not seem right at all...

"Ummmm... Hello, excuse me, this is your takeout." Forgotten, the delivery boy on the side silently handed over the meal bag in his hand.

After thinking about it, the boy, almost whispering, let out a weak voice saying: "Can you please give a five-star rating?"

"Oh oh oh...I'm sorry to trouble you." Tang Miaoyi only reacted now, took the takeaway, and said that good reviews are not a problem.

Mission accomplished, the delivery boy blushed and quickly disappeared.

"Classmate Tang Miaoyi, do you only eat takeaway every day?" An Qiuying couldn't help asking.

"That's right." Tang Miaoyi checked her takeaway, confirmed that it was correct, and nodded with satisfaction: "It's impossible to eat instant noodles every day, and I don't know how to cook. Only takeaway can maintain this kind of life."

"..."

"Also....what did you call me just now? Classmate?" Tang Miaoyi suddenly realized what An Qiuying called her just now, and was at a loss.

"It's like this. I just transferred to another school. I just arrived in Class 3. When I filled in the address, the head teacher mentioned that you are my neighbor. By the way, you need to pay more attention to your body. You even asked for days off because of your health."

An Qiuying answered quietly. In the beginning, she was also surprised by this coincidence. This random girl whom she met by chance was actually someone in her class.

It's just that the classmate Tang Miaoyi in front of her seems to have a slightly different style from the respected, gentle, kind-hearted class leader she heard about in the class.

"Coincidentally, you're my classmate?" Miaoyi was taken aback for a moment, but she didn't think too much of it: "It's fine. It's even better this way."

"The problem is... you have taken leave of absence due to your health, how can you still eat these takeaways every day?" Qiuying couldn't help but feel a little worried.

"It's okay, I'm not actually sick or anything. In fact, I took a few days off to write some music. There is nothing wrong with my health." Miaoyi said indifferently, and turned sideways, making an offhanded gesture indicating "Please come in"

An Qiuying: "..."

'My expectations of her have been utterly destroyed...'

- - - - - - - - - -

When Miaoyi entered her house and moved to her bedroom to eat her takeout, she saw Qiuying looking around anxiously. It seemed like she was unsure of what to do, so Miaoyi spoke up, "You're welcome to find a seat, we are classmates after all. Treat it as your own home, you don't have to be scared."

"Okay..." An Qiuying was in a complicated mood. After entering the bedroom, she resisted the urge to complain and asked, "Miss Class President, haven't you been outside in these few days?"

Miaoyi's house was not very dirty at the moment, but right beside the door, there were about five or six garbage bags, almost entirely full. It could be vaguely seen that they were filled with instant noodle cups, soda cans, and takeaway boxes.

The bedroom is different. The quilt has no concept of "folded" at all. It was piled up on the bed in a big ball, and there was a nightgown that had been taken off. The floor was filled with miscellaneous items...

"How long has it been since I went out? Three days, why do you ask?" Tang Miaoyi was a little puzzled, completely oblivious to her surroundings, and didn't even realize what An Qiuying was talking about.

"Let me clean up for you later." An Qiuying said helplessly.

"So that's what you mean, that's so embarrassing." Miaoyi finally understood, shook her head quickly, and said rather awkwardly: "Actually, normally I'm much cleaner than this, not that what you saw shows it, it's just that I've been a little busy these days, so I haven't paid much attention to it."

This is the truth. It was really because of business reasons that she ignored these details of life.

'Now that I think about it, it seems that the garbage really needs to be disposed of, and I can't wait for it to stink.'

And there is another reason... She was a boy in her previous life, and she hasn't gotten used to the difference entirely yet.

"No, I'm still worried about you. How about this? We're also classmates, how about being roommates? I can look out for you as well." An Qiuying put down the little white fox 'Da Mian', thought about the word takeaway, and finally sighed.

"Room...Roommate roommates, living together??!!"
