Chapter 47: Chapter Forty Seven: Unexpected

"Just what the heck?" 

Devon was still trying to figure out how to manipulate his mana when the wolves began to surround them.

He was already having a hard time figuring something out and now that he was surrounded by an overwhelming number of wolves, he just couldn't think about it anymore.

'How did he get this number of wolves to all come here? Some kind of beast manipulation spell? Mages are really dangerous.'

His eyes were constantly scanning the area to make sure none of the wolves were going to take him by surprise but they didn't seem to be attacking yet.

That was true for the first three minutes but then one of the wolves suddenly dived toward him from behind, the one place he didn't have his eyes on.

However, he was anticipating something like that and was able to shift out of the way just in time to avoid getting dragged down by the beast.
