Chapter 129: What a Drag
Kaito healed Genkai not before Yoriichi used a simple chakra suppression seal on the box to prevent any of the 'dark' chakra from leaking from it.
Since there was no chakra coming out of the box, Genkai was no longer mind-controlled. His eyes turned back to normal and were no longer black.
"His injury would have been fatal if your blow landed a centimeter above or a centimeter below," Kaito said to Yoriichi with his hands glowing light green because of the mystical palm jutsu that he was using to heal Genkai which was the best he could do.
Chino was controlling Genkai's blood so that he would not lose more blood from his injuries.
The wound closed but Genkai was still pale because of the blood loss as Kaito fed him some nutrient pills.
"He is not fully healed. He would have to stay at the village hospital for a week after we return." Kaito said as they waited for Genkai to wake up.
After a couple of hours, Genkai woke up groggily. He looked at his surroundings on guard before realizing that he was being surrounded by his students.
"Sup?" He said with a wry smile.
"Sup, He says after all this." Kaito sighed while everyone laughed happy to have their sensei back.
"It seems you guys had a party," Genkai said half-jokingly half serious after looking at his destroyed surroundings.
Kaito narrated to him about everything that had happened including how the Uzukage had given them the mission to find out what happened to him and his team and to bring them back even if they had to slaughter their way through the land of grass.
They told him about how they attacked the Hozuki castle and how the Kasekage summoned the box from which he came out and attacked them. Then the fight between him and Yoriichi.
"I see. It looks like Old Man still worries about me hahaha. Well, I can't complain after all you all managed to save me." Genkai said as he then began to explain what led to him getting mind-controlled.
"We were tasked to see the conditions of the prisoners to see if they were properly treated apart from escorting some prisoners to the castle. We had to also see if there were any security gaps and also fix some barriers that were reported to be malfunctioning by the Head Warden." Genkai bit his lips before continuing
"I felt something was wrong since I found a lot of guards than the previous time I visited here but I ignored it thinking they might have just increased their security. We had let our guard down after a few hours and that's when the head warden led us to a prison gate and as soon as we entered there was only darkness. I lost access to chakra immediately. My teammates chakra was sucked out completely turning them to just empty husks. Before I could even act, I felt something invading my mind and I don't remember anything after that." Genkai said sorrowly
"Well, all you need to remember is I kicked your ass hahaha" Yoriichi laughed trying to lighten the mood after hearing that the other Uzushiogakure shinobi were dead and they did not even have dead bodies to bring back to the village.
'The gate should be the hate to the box itself. How did they seal that creepy chakra from the box leaking anyway? Sensei should have sensed something wrong if he sensed that evil chakra.' Yoriichi wanted to ask Genkai another question before he was interrupted by the Kusakage who had woken up and saw that the Uzushiogakure shinobi had managed to free Genkai from 'his' control.
"You even managed to thwart another one of my plans. I was going to use Genkai of the Dark release to bring me more powerful shinobi that I could control. Kusagakure would have been unstoppable. We would no longer be at the mercy of the great villages. But you had to ruin it. Most of my village's trusted shinobi are dead. Is not it fair that Uzushiogakure should feel my PAIN?"
The Kusakage with surprising strength tore through the threads and ran backwards.
'He broke Kakazu's threads with just physical strength. Well, He is a S rank shinobi along with being a Kage of a shinobi village even if it's not a great village, so he should be strong. From what I know about him, he excels in Taijutsu. Oh well, Let's capture him before he does something stupid.' Yoriichi thought
Yoriichi and Kakazu had launched two massive fireball jutsus towards the Kusakage who in turn bit his thumb and slammed his hand on the ground.
The box of ultimate bliss was summoned in front of him. The box gate was open as it swallowed the two fireballs, hence protecting the Kusakage.
"Fulfill my wish, Oh box of Ultimate bliss, I offer you my life and the only thing I ask of you is to destroy these shinobi." saying that the Kusakage jumped into the box.
And then something flew out of the box.
"Kekekekekeke"
"When will this troublesome day end? What a drag!" Kaito mumbled tiredly
