Chapter 9: Ch-9 Training (ARC-1)
Kyouku was sitting in a room at a demon slayer HQ and was looking at the scars he got throughout his training and thought well that was some shocking turn of events Rengoku forced me in he remembered me and Rengoku were going to the his residence when we entered I saw the wind Hashira Sanemi there who was drinking tea.
Sanemi looked at us and said Rengoku why have you called me here you know I am a Hashira and have a very important work to do. Sanemi I want to talk to you about this Young kid you see he is very skilled and killed a strong demon while being poisoned so I think he should receive training for breathing styles said Kyojuro with a smile on his face. I don't remember being poisoned wait an I think I was when the demon slashed me he poisoned me this is why I was so tired in that little fight thought Kyouku.
So, teach him your flame breathing tell me why I am here oh, so you want me to teach him wind breathing you know he will not be able to and I also don't have time for it said Sanemi. Sanemi like your body his body has a strong endurance and wind breathing is best suiting for him replied Kyojuro. Dammit Kyojuro you know I have said it I don't want to train him that's it replied Sanemi.
Sanemi master will be pretty happy about how another wind breathing demon slayer have joined the corps with the potential to become a Hashira. I am only agreeing because of master but if he fails the training I am going to drop him.
What happened afterwards was what Kyouku will call absolutely brutality in the name of training because of which he got three and two scars respectively on his hands six on his chest and stomach and one by his neck to his jaw. The only scars which were big were on his chest.
The training Sanemi provided to him was different from the one Tanjiro received the training was simple for each form of wind breathing they will have ten duels which means he had 90 duels in total and these duels should be completed in one month for the training he even provided him a new Katana. Kyouku figured out quickly the low amount of days for the training is because Sanemi just wanted him to fail but failing was out of the question he had to learn the breathing form to survive no matter what he reason Kyouku thought this as the reason because every day at least one time Sanemi said to him that I hate him to the core of this absurd training which usually was continued by how pathetic I was but to just look cool and piss off Sanemi Kyouku just said to him that's not it and how humble he is to Sanemi for teching him this prestigious breathing style this thing pissed off Sanemi but the later days of the training he stopped asking him or bad mouthing him and started to even give him some tips about the forms and how to do them instead of just showing them to him in the duels Sanemi even asked him his name and started to call him by the smaller version of it Kyo. Kyouku thought that he will change his name to Kyo because the full name Kyouku is very wierd. Kyouku thought Sanemi did this because he saw how he was not pissed of like others and was humble like friend and partner that died during one of their mission in the canon.
The thing that shocked him was how he struggled in only five duel in the each form and then he adapted to it the reason he thought this happened because he was a Tsugikuni and had natural potential.
This is the last day this is the day when I will know if I will become a demon slayer or cannon fodder. He looked at the clock the time has come to see his results. Kyo got out of the room and went to forest in which Sanemi trained him.
Kyo reached there and saw Sanemi looking at the bamboos and near him there was a box a small wooden suitcase type of box. Sanemi san I am ready said Kyo. Sanemi turned and said Kyo you have learned the art of wind breathing and I think you can take the exam but don't be a weakling and try to iprove that art too you got it. See here is the Kimono I got it for you there is also a new katana in it as a parting gift.
Kyo opened it without saying anything to Sanemi and opened to box what he found was a Hatori whose half side was white and the other half dark blue horizontally. After wearing it Kyo said with a smirk I did not knew you were a kind of person who will create a Hatori in his rest time.
You brat yelled Sanemi! It's time for you to attend your exam go now and I am telling you if you failed it and ruin all the training and my effort I am going to find you in heaven you brat yelled Sanemi!
I got it no need to be so angry and stuff common said Kyo.
A slayer came to them with a bag and said to Sanemi in this bag I have put all the food items for one week's journey and a map telling the path to the slayer exam you asked for Sanemi sama. The slayer put the bag down and quickly went away.
I think I should go now and thanks for this and the training said Kyo.
