Chapter 15: CH-15
After a few minutes, Brian snapped back into reality he wasn't still finished reading the contents, but it would be rude to ignore the guest. Brian adjusted his tie, this was another masterpiece he thought.
Brian already knew that this would skyrocket his sales once again, he couldn't help but get excited. "So this will be the new superhero series that would be published?"
"Yeah it's the new series that is going to be published, the agreement is still the same though, us 45 while you 55" Jhon said, actually with the rise of GOTG Liam could have asked to change the ratio, him being 55 while Brian being 45.
Or even Liam becoming 60 and Brian becoming 40. Jhon already asked Liam about that matter.
Even though he treats Brian as a friend they weren't close enough for John to treat him just as he would treat his close friends or his family. They only met at a social party and got acquainted there.
John doesn't know anything else about Brian, and they can't even call themselves close friends. In short, Jhon doesn't trust Brian fully. In this world, you can't trust everyone and Jhon learned that in a hard way.
"Really?! W-wow that's great!" Brian said, he was already having other thoughts such as John moving to a bigger news agency, which would result in his sales plummeting.
Luckily the mysterious creator of Marvel still wanted to publicize his/her works in his company which made Brian smile in delight.
"Yes," Jhon replied, as he sipped the coffee once more. "Do you have any beer?" John asked, he was never allowed to drink any sort of alcoholic beverage inside their home.
Silvia would reprimand him all the time, telling him that it would be a bad example for Liam to see him drink alcohol. Due to that John wouldn't drink at home instead, he would buy some in stores to drink a few.
"Yeah there on the fridge" Brian pointed at the mini fridge at the side of the office, whilst he opened the comic book once again to read its contents.
This time the main character is a teenager, which aroused Brian's interest. He kept reading its content while causally drinking the beer given to him by Jhon.
After reading halfway through the whole story, Brian put the comic book gently on the coffee table. "Jhon this is another masterpiece!" Brian said excitedly he could already see the money flowing in.
"Yeah, I know I also read it, what do you think?" Jhon asked Brian who was gleaming with joy.
"I think it's amazing! we can publicize these to the people, GOTG sensation has calmed down a bit and I think it's an amazing strategy if we publish these so for the avid fans to read them!" Brian said.
John nodded his head in approval. "Alright, how many copies will you print for the first sale?"
"Hmm this is amazing John, but I will start with printing 50,00 copies if it becomes a wide hit once again I will increase production," Brian said, even though the impact caused by GOTG became a sensation.
Brian was also sure that Spider-Man would become another sensation. But the sales would be up to the people.
Brian already felt a slight headache, this means he is going to become busy these days again, with the publication, the printing, and much more stuff to add!
"Guess I'll get busy once again, I'll print 50,000 copies in preparation," Brian said earning a nod of approval from Jhon who was busy drinking beer.
"Umm, Jhon when will you tell me about the creator? I'm dying of curiosity to meet him" Brian said, he was curious about the creator of the comics, and though he knows that John wouldn't disclose any information about him/her still it was worth a try to ask.
"Not now but maybe in a few years I'll tell you about the creator," Jhon said nonchalantly to Brian.
Brian smiled hearing this, he knew that Jhon hasn't fully trusted him, they only met at a social party of course they can't fully trust one another.
After talking a bit about the publication and much other stuff, John drove back home. He still had to have a chat with Liam regarding the plans for the future.

"I'll go to the vegetable section. What are you going to buy Liam?" Silvia asked looking at her son who was looking around the store.
"Yeah I'm going to buy some stuff for me Mom" Liam answered as he took a small red basket.
He was going to buy some ingredients to bake a cake and try his newfound skills given to him by his new system.
"Oh, do you know which way to go? The store is huge you might get lost" Silvia said, in truth, she wanted to spend some quality time with Liam. They haven't had any form of mother-son bonding due to the current events that unfolded.
"There are signs above the shelves Mom and also I can ask some of the grocery clerks" Liam said, oblivious to the hidden meaning behind his mom's words.
Liam wanted to shop alone, though he finds the presence of his mother comforting.
"Oh ok.." Silvia sighed hearing her son's words, she felt kind of sad. She couldn't see that small baby anymore who would even beg for her to hug him.
Hearing the sigh from his mother. Liam immediately understood the meaning behind his mom's words. "But first let's get what you want to buy Mom, then mines next" Liam said and immediately a smile rose from Silvia's lips.
"Really sweetie? Ok, first we are going to buy some vegetables for dinner" Silvia happily said as she held the trolley while Liam followed from behind.
Liam just followed from behind, he looked around the shelves items while occasionally helping his mother.
Though it feels nice spending some quality time with her Liam thought as he looked at the figure of his mother. Liam was going to become a big brother, and at first he said to himself that he wouldn't feel jelous once the baby is born. But deep inside he feels kind of sad, but still Liam was happy for his mother.
