LaRoe sat back up and nodded. "Yes. Meg. That was her name…

"Well… No wonder you didn't remarry," LaRee chuckled, reacting the best way his body knew how. "No woman of the village could ever match that. Neither can the men."

Laughing, LaRoe slyly commented, "Very true! But when alone, I assure you. She was no monster. Only when I had her in heat!"

LaRee chuckled again but had no reply. He let his father laugh for a moment until the awkward air circulated out the window. However, LaRee was happy. Because LaRee had never seen such a smile on his father's face, or such a lively vibrance within his father's eyes.
