Chapter 44: Chapter 44: Eternal Domain
'His chakra... Is on the same level as a failed beast... Not bad.' Oden thought.
Kakashi looked exasperated, his chakra had reached Kage levels and slowed down, yet in front of him stood a man with tailed-beats level chakra and infinite chakra. Even with kage-level chakra, he felt like he had too little of it.
"Kakashi, in 5, if they haven't brought back the Konoha Shinobu, kill their elders." Oden said stoically.
"Yes sir!" he said as he flashed away.
"You DARE?" The Raikage shouted as he was about to follow Kakashi.
Oden activated his Mugengan and his left eye started shining brighter than usual.
"Eternal Domain!" Oden shouted as he used the unique ability of his left eye. A Grey sphere grew from his eye and overtook an area of 50 diameters.
Eternal Domain was the ability he awakened in his left eye after he reached the level of eternal Mugengan.
He'd rather not use these abilities until the fourth great war... But The Raikage is the fastest man alive, and he has to use this to not die. Not even the Sharingan can't keep up with the Raikage, that's how fast he is.
The Raikage used his lightning release chakra mode and started running after Kakashi, but right after he took his first step, a Grey sphere grew from Oden's left eye and grew to the size of 50 meters in diameter.
From Raikage's point of view, everything became Grey.
He didn't understand what this jutsu does, but he felt no different, so he ignored it as he ran toward Kakashi... Yet something felt very wrong.
Oden, had disappeared from his sight, His sight!
The lightning release chakra mode increased his physical and mental capabilities to a great extent, his reflexes and speed were the greatest in the world when his ninjutsu was activated, yet Oden seemed to have disappeared in the eyes of Raikage.
The next thing the Raikage knew was that Oden was behind him and before he knew it he got kicked.
'How is he this much faster than me?!' The raikage thought in surprise. No one has been faster than him since Minato.
As for Oden, he didn't become faster, the ability of his eternal domain is to create a sphere, and within that domain he controls time.
Everything within his domain had been slowed to the point of almost standing still in time, yet The Raikage, with his great speed, was moving in slow motion. Which really shows how fast he is.
Oden flashed behind The Raikage and kicked him down, making the Raikage fall down in slow motion.
Oden arrived in front of Raikage and started punching him making the buff man change directions with every punch.
From the raikage point of view, Oden had become so fast that he flashed everywhere and punched him with heavy punches, even with his lightning release chakra mode, Oden seemed as fast as light.
Kakashi had disappeared far enough, So oden felt it was time to release his Eternal domain.
The eternal domain drained him, the stronger the person he used it on, the greater the cost, not in chakra but physical exertion as Oden moved through time.
If he overused his eternal domain, he wouldn't be able to activate it again until he rested.
Suddenly the sphere disappeared and color returned to the world as Raikage fell to the ground, creating a big crater.
Raikage had felt hundreds, no, thousands of punches had landed on him, but his lightning release chakra mode had given him much higher durability and protection, so he barely took any damage.
Oden saw the Raikage stand up from his crater, dusting off his shoulder and looking very angry.
"I don't know how you got so fast, but now you've made me angry." The man said.
Before Oden could respond, another buff man, wearing a white kumo headband, a white scarf, and oval sunglasses appeared.
"Can't you see, I'm here, killer bee, fool ya fool!" The newly arrived buff man rapped.
Seeing His younger brother, the raikage calmed down.
He turned toward Oden.
"Even if you get back our hostages, don't you realize that this will lead to war between our villages?" He asked Oden, wanting to see his response.
"No, this isn't what caused war between our villages, because when you kidnapped my clansmen, you already caused it." Oden said as he started releasing huge amounts of chakra, so large that it could rival 5 nine-tails.
Oden rarely released so much chakra at the same time because it actually made his body feel heavy. Although it wasn't dangerous or would slow him down, the more he released the more he felt pressure from his chakra.
Both The Raikage and Killer B became very serious and vigilant.
'So rumors weren't false about them.' The Raikage thought.
"Soon your elders will die, how about we exchange our hostages and then continue fighting?" Oden said as his chakra was around him, making it look like he was in big flames.
"... If you kill our elders we'll kill your clansmen." The raikage said, trying to find out Oden's next move.
"Do it, they are Shinobi, ready to die at any moment, yet, your elders seem to hold important posts... Let's see who gets hurt the most!" Oden challenged back.
The kage frowned.
"... Bring our hostages." The Kage commanded.
"I'll be back, in a smack to bring yo slack!" Killer B sang before flashing away.
The raikage and Oden just stood there, vigilant, ready for a fight to break out any time.
After many minutes, B returned with two chunins from the Zaraki clan, and two oher strong looking shinobi.
Oden noticed that one of the newly arrived Shinobi was Darui, the leader of Kumo shinobi he had met when he defeated the Gold and Silver brothers, and the other kunoichi seemed to be another jinchuriki.
Kakashi also arrived with the elders who had woken up.
They exchanged hostages and the elders hurried back.
"Kakashi, take back the chunin." Oden said as he kept staring at the Raikage.
"You think I'll allow you to escape?" The raikage said in arrogance.
"You think I want to escape?" Oden asked in a similar tone.
This was the most important part of the plan. After getting back the konoha shinobi, he had to give them reasons to not start a war, by showing them an unforgettable sight.
Kakashi and the chunin disappeared.
"Hmph, four S-rank against me, Oden Zaraki? finally a fair fight!" Oden said with a grin as summoned Enma.
The Monkey King turned into a staff and Oden picked him up.
As Oden held his monkey staff with a grin, his right eye started shining bright.
The sclera of both his eyes were black, yet the golden iris of his right eyes shined almost like a lamp.
Oden disappeared from his spot, not in the sense that moved from there in superspeed, rather as if he ceased to exist.
Oden instantly appeared behind Darui and swung his staff at him.
Raikage and the others understood that Oden had teleported!
His right eye gave him the ability to teleport anywhere his sight reached. This ability barely had an effect on him as he could use it almost as much as he wanted.
'Does he know the flying thunder God jutsu?!" the Raikage thought, he became sombre, feeling like Oden might be a bigger threat than he originally thought.
