Chapter 18: Meeting

I sighed heavily as I walked behind Jinx in the sunny afternoon, still slightly upset at having to be up so early in the day. After Luc had retreated into his coffin, I told the witch I was willing to meet with the first vampire, only for her to reveal he wanted to meet during the day. Only Dracula would want to take advantage of the fact he could wake up before sunset, and I groaned as we walked down the street toward downtown.

"Sure is quiet on the Friday before Mother's Day." Jinx commented and I made a noise of agreement.
