Chapter 63: Misery

I stared stunned at my sister as she spoke, trying to come to terms with what she had just said. I had to let Adam torture me? So my change the night before was due to the pain Adam had inflicted on me? My eyes narrowed as I completely turned away from Luc, facing my twin as she turned away, refusing to look at me.

"How do you know?" I insisted, crossing my arms as I kept my gaze on her. Both Azger and Sarai shared a look, and I shook my head as I continued. "How did you find out?"

"Adam… admitted this wasn't his first time trying the Reversal." Sarai started, releasing Azger as she hugged herself. "Just before you arrived in the Garden, he was about to… start the process with me."

"Process? You mean torture you?" I nearly shouted, my anger overwhelming as I considered what the deity had planned to do. Was he going to make me watch, keep me pinned to the ground as he violated my twin? Sarai nodded slightly, taking a deep breath before she continued.
