Chapter 92: Chapter 92: History of Secret Chamber

"What? You're actually speaking Parseltongue?"

After listening to Harry's story, Ron looked at him with disbelief.

"I told you about the voice last time, but you didn't believe me," Harry said, refusing to take the blame.

"You didn't even tell me it was a snake's voice!" Ron looked dissatisfied, feeling betrayed.

"Ron, let's not argue," George and Fred intervened at the same time, interrupting Ron.

"Arthur, do you know what the Chamber of Secrets is?"

Arthur pondered for a moment and decided to start from the beginning.

"You all know that Hogwarts was founded by four founders, right?"

Everyone nodded.

Arthur continued, "It is said that Hogwarts Castle was built on land owned by the Slytherin family. The Slytherin family owns the whole property, including the Forbidden Forest."

"They must be really rich," Ron said enviously.

"Don't interrupt!" George scolded Ron sharply, which stopped him from talking.

Ignoring their interruptions, Arthur continued,

"At first, the school's four founders searched for talented young people to bring to the school for education. But Slytherin was different from the other students."

"Slytherin wanted Hogwarts to only take students from pure-blood wizarding families because they thought students from Muggle houses couldn't be trusted. This caused a big fight between the four founders, and Slytherin left the school."

Arthur finished in one breath, feeling a bit thirsty. He summoned a glass of lemonade to wet his throat before continuing.

"It is said that before Slytherin left, he left behind a Chamber of Secrets. Only a descendant of Slytherin can really open it and let the scary thing inside clean all the worthless students of magic. That's where the Chamber of Secrets came from."

After finishing his explanation, Arthur fell silent, giving everyone some time to digest the information.

Everyone was absorbed in the story Arthur had just told, so no one knew about this hidden story from Hogwarts' early days.

After a while, they finally reacted, and Cho was the first to ask, "So, you're saying that a descendant of Slytherin has appeared now, and that's why the Chamber of Secrets has been opened?"

Arthur shook his head, "In fact, the Chamber of Secrets was opened fifty years ago. At that time, a female student died in Hogwarts, and a student named Tom Riddle caught the culprit who opened the Chamber and received a special contribution award from the school."

"That captured person was later expelled, but Dumbledore decided to the person to stay at the school, and you all know him."

"Hagrid!" Hermione quickly realized, She could not believe that the big, awkward guy could open the Chamber and kill a student at Hogwarts.

"It can't be Hagrid!" Harry's reaction was extreme, as he had the closest relationship with Hagrid among them.

"All of this is recorded in the book 'Hogwarts: A History.' Although Hagrid's name is not specifically mentioned, if you look up the removal records, you'll find him. And the student who was killed was the girl in the bathroom was, Moaning Myrtle."

Arthur calmly said, but then he dropped a bombshell.

"That student named Tom Riddle later changed his name, and you all have probably heard of it. That name is... Voldemort."

When they heard this name, everyone except Harry shook and gasped in shock.

"So Voldemort must have opened the Chamber and framed Hagrid!" Harry exclaimed excitedly.

"I'm going to find Dumbledore now and ask him to help clear Hagrid's name."

After speaking, Harry prepared to leave.

Arthur waved his wand, causing Harry to sit back in his seat. Shaking his head, Arthur wondered how Harry had been studying under him for so long and still acted so recklessly.

"Sit down. Do you have any evidence? Why would Dumbledore believe what you're saying?" Arthur scolded, and Harry immediately became obedient.

"The reason I told you all this is to make you more vigilant and not go searching for the Chamber of Secrets. It's not some treasure inventory there, but a place of danger."

With these final words, Arthur ended the conversation for today and let everyone return to their dormitories.

Arthur didn't immediately go to sleep when he returned to the dormitory. Instead, he searched through his suitcase and took out some items.

He hadn't fully mastered speaking Parseltongue yet.

He had secretly tried using Parseltongue to open the Chamber's door on the second-floor girls' bathroom, but there was no response...

Before that, he needed some items to ensure Cho and Hermione's safety.

...

Arthur's words quickly spread through Ron's big mouth and caused a sensation at Hogwarts.

Luckily, Ron had some sense and didn't reveal that Tom was Voldemort.

The young wizards were especially curious about that part of the history. The few copies of "Hogwarts: A History" in the library were all checked out.

During History of Magic class, some bold students kept asking Professor Binns for information on the Chamber of Secrets.

Professor Binns, in an unusual show of anger and expressed that the Chamber of Secrets and such things were all fake.

They should focus on real history instead of these mythical school legends.

Fred and George took the opportunity to sell the protective charms they made. In the chaos, their sales surprisingly went well.

However, Professor McGonagall found out and confiscated all their remaining products.

Dumbledore soon found Arthur and asked him to come to his office.

"Arthur, I think your stories have made everyone more anxious," Dumbledore said, frowning and looking somewhat troubled.

"I just spoke the facts I know, didn't I?" Arthur didn't care. He had become more relaxed in front of old Dumbledore.

Dumbledore was a person who valued evidence. Regardless of his personal opinion, as long as there was no evidence presented, he would still consider you a good child.

Sure enough, Dumbledore sighed and didn't blame Arthur.

He simply advised, "Although all these things are facts, they shouldn't be the students' concern. I don't want them to live in a panic."

Seeing Dumbledore like this, Arthur felt a mix of emotions.

There was no doubt that Dumbledore loved this school deeply. Seeing the students in panic indeed exhausted this old man over a hundred years old.

"Don't worry too much, Professor. In fact, we can turn their attention with another way..."

Arthur's words piqued Dumbledore's curiosity, and the old man turned his gaze to Arthur...
