Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Malfoy Family

England, Wiltshire County, Malfoy Mansion.

As one of the wealthiest pure-blood families, the Malfoy Mansion naturally had a sense of luxury and beauty.

In the luxurious living room, Lucius Malfoy, with his wife Narcissa Malfoy, was having a rare family reunion with their son, Draco Malfoy.

Apart from the summer break, Christmas was the only longer break at Hogwarts, so students didn't get to spend much time with their families.

"Son, this is your favorite crème brûlée and foie gras. Have some more," Narcissa said, her face filled with concern while complaining about Dumbledore.

"That crazy old man actually banned the use of house-elves at school. I can't imagine how you're managing in that 'Mudblood' school."

Draco opened his mouth and wanted to say that the food at school wasn't actually that bad.

However, he made the smart decision to keep quiet after watching his mother's expression.

Lucius, sitting beside them, nodded in agreement.

"Dumbledore is indeed getting old. He's been too kind to those mudbloods. Doesn't he know that the wizarding world is built on pure-bloods?"

"Dad!"

Draco furrowed his brow, interrupting Lucius.

Ever since he started learning with Arthur, Draco no longer looked down on Muggle-born wizards and other half-bloods.

He knew very well that any identity or blood was a joke in the face of absolute power.

Even his own father, Lucius, would only talk bad about Dumbledore behind his back.

Draco doubts that his father could even say what he was thinking if he stood in front of the headmaster.

Lucius looked at Draco with surprise.

He suddenly realized that his son had become a bit strange.

In the past, Draco would have agreed strongly with what he said, but today he seemed to be a very different person.

However, Lucius didn't say anything and continued to enjoy the Christmas dinner with his family.

After dinner, he called Draco into the study for a private conversation.

"Tell me, what happened at school that caused such a big change in you?"

Lucius asked with concern as he and his son sat facing each other.

Draco gently shook his head and simply said, "Nothing, Dad. Just that someone made me realize that pure-blood fame isn't gained by insulting mudbloods but by working hard on our own."

When hearing this, Lucius's expression changed, and he angrily said, "Do you know what you're saying, Draco? Are you denying me?"

Draco didn't show any fear or worry when his father got angry.

Instead, he calmly explained his side.

"Dad, the times are different now. Half-blood wizards are becoming more and more common, and they can't be ignored in the magical world."

"Furthermore, pure-blood wizards have become less pure as time passes. We don't even know if we're real pure-blood wizards, and We don't even know if we are truly pure-blood wizards ourselves."

"The most important thing for wizards is their strength. Just look at Headmaster Dumbledore, Professor Snape, and even the Dark Lord, whose name we dare not say. They are all half-bloods, but who dares to underestimate them?"

Lucius stared blankly at Draco, unable to believe that these words were coming from his own son.

In that instant, he felt that Draco had grown up a lot.

Lucius stared blankly at Draco, unable to believe that his son was saying these things.

With a heavy sigh, Lucius Malfoy sits weakly on the couch. He understood that Draco was right.

In fact, he had long seen through the issue of pure-blood versus half-blood. He looked at Draco with some satisfaction.

Although Draco's views still seemed somewhat naive to him, he had grasped the importance of it all: power.

Lucius spoke seriously to his son, "Son, what you said, I understand it too. But I can't change everything. There are things I have to do to keep the honor of our family and protect the interests we share with other pure-blood families."

Draco fell silent when he heard what his father said.

Arthur had already explained to him why pure-blood families were so hostile against half-blood and Muggle-born wizards.

It was basically a conflict of interests.

A large number of half-blood and Muggle-born wizards in the wizarding world would make it hard for pure-blood families to find a place to live.

Because of this, many pure-blood families had to work together under Lord Voldemort to get rid of those they saw as threats.

Did they really think that Voldemort's words would influence everyone?

Maybe some were, but not very many. When Draco thought about this, he also remembered what he had promised Arthur.

"Dad, I promised one of my classmates that I would let him look through our family's library," Draco said.

"Tell me more about the situation,"

Lucius responded calmly, not getting angry at Draco's promise.

Draco then told his father everything that had happened between him and Arthur, except for the fight with Hermione, who he was now terrified of.

Hermione was powerful, intelligent, and, most importantly, Arthur's girlfriend.

Draco couldn't afford to provoke her.

After listening to Draco, Lucius asked with surprise, "Is this Arthur really as strong as you say?"

Draco nodded firmly.

"So far, that's all he's shown us about his power. Maybe he still has more cards that he hasn't shown yet."

Although there were many secrets that Draco couldn't reveal to Lucius due to their contract, the part he could reveal was enough to surprise Lucius.

Lucius praised Draco, saying, "You did well. Arthur Gaunt could be the next Dumbledore. It's a good idea to build a good relationship with him. Invite him to our home tomorrow."

Draco felt a bit hesitant and said to his father, "Dad, Gaunt is also a half-blood. Can you...?"

Lucius understood what his son meant and, not in the mood for nonsense, gently tapped his head.

"I'm not dumb. Since this genius doesn't have ill will towards us, I won't be so stupid as to provoke him either."

When hearing his father's response, Draco breathed a sigh of relief.

He was really worried that his father might make a mistake and say something wrong.

Lucius, on the other hand, was satisfied when looking at his son.

This Draco was the best Malfoy heir because he could see both the advantages and disadvantages of a situation and was determined.
