Chapter 165: Chapter 165: Arthur's Inner Fear

Soon, Hermione approached Boggart.

Arthur watched curiously, wondering what Hermione feared the most.

Was it Professor McGonagall who gave her a low score on her test?

The Boggart exploded again, transforming from a doll lying on the ground into Arthur's appearance.

"What the heck? My girlfriend's greatest fear is actually me."

Arthur couldn't believe it, and he couldn't say a word and was almost fainting.

Hermione was also puzzled.

How could she be afraid of Arthur?

The other students got excited and began to watch what was happening.

Arthur and Hermione's relationship was known to everyone, so seeing such a strange situation got them all excited.

At that moment, the Boggart Arthur spoke.

"Hermione, your hair is still a mess, and you still have those big buck teeth. You're so ugly. I don't want you anymore."

Hermione froze for a moment and then let out the loudest scream of her life.

"Ah!!!"

Lupin instinctively covered his ears and shouted at Hermione, "Quick, recite the spell! Riddikulus!"

"R-Riddikulus!"

Hermione shouted, almost roaring.

The Boggart suddenly transformed into an Arthur with a bruised and swollen face lying on the ground.

The whole room fell silent.

The whole room fell silent.

"Ha-ha!"

Someone burst into laughter, and then like a switch being flipped, everyone started laughing like crazy.

Except for Arthur.

At this moment, Arthur tightened his grip on his wand and contemplated whether to give all the third-year students a taste of Obliviate.

With his power, it should be easy.

It's so embarrassing.

This is definitely the most embarrassing moment of Arthur's life since he was born.

Even when he accidentally entered the girls' restroom in elementary school, it wasn't this embarrassing.

Although it wasn't him lying on the ground, it was still his face.

With a dark expression on his face, Arthur walked over to Hermione and pulled the young witch back to her seat.

The Boggart was then turned into a changing liquid by Arthur's spell. Hermione finally snapped out of it and started sobbing in Arthur's arms.

"Arthur, don't abandon me because of my teeth and hair..."

Arthur was speechless and could only comfort her repeatedly.

"Next up is you, Arthur."

Since no one stepped forward, Professor Lupin called out Arthur's name.

Arthur patted Hermione and gestured for her to raise her head. She looked at Arthur tearfully.

Walking up to Boggart, Boggart continued to transform, but this time it took longer than any last changes.

The young wizards craned their necks to find out what Arthur, who was so strong, was afraid of something.

Even Hermione stopped crying and fixed her gaze ahead.

Finally, Bogart stopped changing, but what appeared was not a person or an object.

It was a scene.

Dark clouds covered the sky as a figure swiftly flew upwards, continuously trying to reach the highest point.

But thunder and lightning from the clouds hindered his progress.

After countless tries, the figure became hopeless and finally stopped.

Arthur quietly watched the scene in front of him while the others were confused.

Suddenly, without any movement from Arthur, the scene exploded.

A person appeared, wearing a sports suit and holding a sea cucumber in his hand.

Arthur smiled at Professor Lupin and said, "Professor, I am done with it."

Without waiting for Lupin's reaction, Arthur returned to his seat.

"Oh, alright,"

Lupin replied absentmindedly, still trying to process what had just happened.

Although disappointed that Arthur didn't explain, the others had no choice but to move on.

The class continued, and the young wizards and witches completed the spell perfectly.

However, Professor Lupin did not call out Harry's name, as if intentionally avoiding something, which made Harry feel frustrated.

After class, everyone left the staff room, leaving Lupin alone with Arthur.

"I'm sorry, Gaunt, I may have offended our professor with my guidance to Longbottom earlier," Lupin said.

"However, you should know that there are things between me and Professor Snape..."

"Professor,"

Arthur interrupted Lupin, who knew exactly what Lupin was going to say. It was nothing more than their old conflicts with Snape.

"I actually have some understanding of what happened between you and Professor Snape," Arthur said.

Lupin was taken aback, he hadn't expected Arthur to know about those matters.

However, Lupin didn't say anything and continued listening to Arthur.

"I just think that the fight between you and Professor Snape shouldn't involve Neville, right?"

Arthur said, then turned and walked away, leaving Lupin feeling somewhat ashamed.

...

"So, what was that scene all about?"

Hermione asked Arthur in a low voice in the library, constantly looking around to make sure Madam Pince wasn't coming.

"Oh, it's nothing. I've been scared of thunder since I was a child, nothing strange," Arthur answered absentmindedly.

At first, he didn't understand the meaning of that scene either.

But the repeated failures to break through the clouds made him feel frustrated.

Only in the end did he somewhat understand that he was afraid of not being able to reach the peak of magic.

The dark clouds represented this world. He was afraid that his power was not enough to become something beyond the world.

Of course, he couldn't tell Hermione all of this.

Hermione pouted as Arthur's answer was boring.

"Well, can you at least tell me what was funny about the man holding the sea cucumber?" she asked.

Arthur looked at Hermione in surprise.

"You don't find it funny?"

"What's funny about it?"

"Nothing..."

"If you two are going to talk, then get out of this library!"

Madame Pince's angry voice came from behind them.

Both of them shrunk and stopped talking.

Hermione playfully hits Arthur, blaming him for getting caught.

"It's all your fault. Now look, we got caught."

Arthur was speechless.

Women truly were unreasonable creatures. She was the one who started asking me questions first.
