Chapter 203: Chapter 203: Regret

Ron's words were filled with sadness.

Scabbers was his best friend, and now Arthur accused him of being a disgusting man. He couldn't accept it!

Ron had always been the most miserable one in the Weasley family. He always had food and things that were left over. He had never received much attention.

Bill and Percy were successful, with Charlie even being the Quidditch captain. Even the twins were the family's source of joy.

As for Ron, he was just an ordinary young wizard with no great talent.

People still called him Harry's friend and Arthur's friend and said he was as small as an ant.

Only Scabbers, when Percy no longer wanted him, stayed by his side. Scabbers was just like him—ordinary and ignored.

So, even if Arthur and Black said so, and even if the dangerous criminal Black was with them, Ron would still speak out against them.

"Arthur, you must be mistaken. Scabbers is just a rat."

Harry couldn't bear to hear Ron's begging tone and looked at his friend sympathetically.

Arthur shrugged, "I'll show you the evidence, otherwise you won't believe it."

He held out his palm, and a surge of magic arose, enveloping Scrabbers, who was floating in the air and at the same time lifting the Full Body-Bind Curse.

Scabbers, now engulfed in a cloud of mist, let out a piercing scream. His limbs continued to grow, and his rat parts slowly faded away.

In front of a dumbfounded Harry and Ron stood a balding, chubby, and disgusting middle-aged man.

"Pet-Peter Pettigrew!"

Harry stuttered after learning some information about Peter and his parents. He recognized the man standing before him.

It was indeed Peter Pettigrew.

Ron felt like his view was collapsing. He now wishes he could die.

The rat he had been sleeping with turned out to be a man, a balding middle-aged man.

I've been sleeping with a man all these years!

"Long time no see, Sirius."

Peter raised his hands in front of him and smiled awkwardly at Sirius, showing a set of yellow teeth that were very disgusting.

"Boom!"

Sirius punched Peter straight into the ground, and then he punched him over and over again.

"Peter, Do you know what I've been through all these years? You filthy worm, How dare you betray me! Betray James!"

As Sirius cursed, he continued to throw punches. Every punch was full of his strength, and after a few blows, Peter's head was bloodied.

"Save me! Save me! Black is going to kill me!"

Peter's cries echoed in the Shrieking Shack. He had no room to fight back while under control.

Although Arthur despised this traitor, he separated the two, as he didn't want Sirius to actually kill Peter.

"Professor Lupin! You can come out now. He can't escape!"

Arthur shouted towards the door, and a few seconds later, Lupin appeared before them.

Peter Pettigrew looked as if he had found a savior and pleaded to Lupin for help.

"Lemus, save me! Black is going to kill me!"

Lupin looked at him with a complicated expression.

"Peter, if it was really Sirius who did it, and you managed to escape from him, why didn't you come to me or find Dumbledore for help?"

Peter was speechless at this question.

That was his biggest flaw.

If he were truly innocent, he could have stood up after Sirius was captured, asked for Dumbledore's protection and enjoyed the glory.

"Professor Lupin..."

Harry saw Lupin's shocked expression.

So much had happened today, and Harry didn't know the connection between Lupin and all of this, but it didn't matter anymore. His mind was overwhelmed.

However, with Arthur, Lupin, and Black all saying that Peter was the real culprit, Harry naturally leaned towards his friend and teacher.

Seeing that everyone was on Sirius' side, Peter became even more panicked.

He crawled and scrambled over to Ron and pleaded, "Kind boy, kind master, I am your good friend, your pet. We have spent so much time together. You must believe me, right?"

As soon as he said that, Ron imagined the image of Peter cuddling with him while sleeping...and he vomited.

"Ugh!"

Ron couldn't take it anymore and ran to the corner to vomit. Arthur sympathetically glanced at Ron. If it were him and a man...

Forget it, he shouldn't think about it. Even thinking about it would make Arthur sick.

"Ron, do you understand now why I said you would thank me later?"

Ron trembled, recalling Arthur's words from earlier, and his emotions became complicated.

Arthur, I really thank you!

"Harry! Peter is now in your hands. You can decide how to deal with him."

Sirius looked at Harry and entrusted him with the decision. As James's son, Harry was the most rightful person to do so.

Harry shook his head, "Let's hand him over to Dumbledore, to the Ministry of Magic, let him face a legal trial, and then help you clear your name, Sirius."

Sirius patted Harry's shoulder with relief.

James, your son has grown up.

Lupin reminded them, "Dumbledore is hardly at the school this semester. I don't know when he'll be back."

"It's okay, Lupin. As long as we have Peter in our hands, everything will be fine."

With the knot untied Sirius became much more spirited. Arthur put a set of bracelets on Peter.

"What's this?"

Harry curiously watched his actions and asked.

"It's an Anti-Magic Bracelet. Wizards cannot use magic when worn, even if they're holding a wand."

It was a little gadget he had invented, primarily used for imprisoning criminals. He had a couple of sets with him, which came in handy today.

Harry shuddered. Arthur always had these terrifying magical items.

He returned the wand to Sirius, and they agreed on the plan. Lupin would be responsible for guarding Peter, while Sirius needed to hide again for a while.

Sirius couldn't openly appear by Harry's side until the Ministry cleared his name.

Just as they were preparing to leave, a red light struck Sirius directly, and the powerful impact sent him flying, crashing into the wall.
