Chapter 159: Death
"Hades, you bastard! He didn't like the fact about Zeus going into cooperation with the other factions!" Azazel cursed.
'So Hades allied himself with the terrorists huh? Expected to be honest. ' Albion grumbled in Issei's mind.
"So like that Azazel-dono, Vali, and Sekiryuutei. The curse he has will devour and kill dragons. He can kill dragons for certain. It's not on the same level as the dragon-slayer holy-swords. You can't even compare them. Ascalon is like a toothpick to him, Hyoudou Issei. " Cao Cao smirked at him. Issei narrowed his eyes.
Cao Cao then pointed at Ophis. "Devour her." He muttered. Samael spat out a disgusting black liquid towards Ophis.
"Oh no you don't." Issei muttered and stood in front of her protectively. He stretched out his hand and summoned Caliburn, the sword he stole from Arthur months ago.
He slashed the air, creating a large distorted space. The black liquid flew into it and the space closed on its own.
Issei made Caliburn go back to the infinite inventory of the Boosted Gear. Cao Cao charged at him recklessly. Issei dodged his attacks skillfully and jumped away when he tried to swipe his legs with a leg sweep of his own.
Cao Cao kept on attacking him, bringing Issei further away from Ophis and the group. Kuroka and Le Fay got into defensive positions around their leader.
Meanwhile Georg kept firing magical attacks at them. Kiba and Xenovia deflected them all easily while Sona, Rias and Akeno counterattacked with their own magical attacks.
Suddenly, Kiba appeared in front of Georg and pierced him through the neck. Georg choked violently as blood splashed everywhere.
Suddenly, Georg disappeared as Kiba stepped forward a little. "An illusion." He muttered.
"CAO CAO!!! DO IT NOW!!!!!"
Cao Cao smirked and appeared beside Georg who gave him an arrow that had Samael's blood applied onto it.
Samael shot out his tentacle-like tongue at the group protecting Ophis. Kuroka had no choice but to grab Ophis and jump back. Cao Cao got into a stance and threw the arrow at them. The arrow broke the sound barrier. Xenovia tackled Kiba who was in the way of the arrow.
The rest jumped away, leaving Kuroka and Le Fay protecting Ophis. Ophis narrowed her eyes and grabbed Kuroka and Le Fay. She threw them away, shocking them all.
She looked at the arrow with a headstrong expression. She was prepared to have her infinite powers turn finite if it comes down to it.
Suddenly, someone appeared in front of him in a blur.
*SHIK!!!!*
The person slumped over a little. It was Issei and he just got pierced by the poisonous arrow.
Samael powerful poisonous dragon slaying curse, destroying both the body and soul of Dragons from the Biblical God, Elohim who developed a deep hatred for Dragons and Snakes.
The poison can even affect the Dragon God Ophis, destroying her spatial barrier and leaving her vulnerable to having much of her power stolen, after which she became finite.
Ophis widened her eyes in shock as she never expected him to take it. Issei stepped back a little.
"Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!" Cao Cao laughed evilly while looking at Issei's demise.
"You idiot! Why would you take the shot for her?! She's better off dead! Now you will die and your soul will be erased out of existence!" Cao Cao taunted him. Issei glared intensely at him.
" Shut up. You talk too much. " Issei growled and grunted as he pulled the poisonous arrow out of his gut.
Cao Cao and Georg widened their eyes in disbelief. "Impossible! You should be on the ground and are on your last breaths right now! He shouted.
" I said shut up!!" Issei shouted and appeared right in front of him with his right palm open. A golden red orb appeared on the palm of his hand.
"The jokes on you!!!! HAKAI!!!!!"

Cao Cao and Georg were completely engulfed by the destructive beam that Issei fired. Their bodies souls were completely erased by his attack.
Issei looked at Samael who fired more black liquid at him. Issei dodged them all easily and appeared floating above him with the True Longinus in his hand.
"Elohim should've killed you when you made Adam and Eve eat the fruit. " He muttered as he started charging up an attack that would completely eradicate Samael.
Red and golden aura started spinning beautifully around the spear. A crimson light started glowing at the tip of the spear. Red lightning was crackling around Issei and the spear too. Issei widened his eyes angrily and pointed the spear at Samael.
"ENUMA... ELISH!!!!!!!"

Samael did nothing as a giant menacing golden red beam completely turned him into nothingness. Nothing remained of him, not even his soul.
Issei put the True Longinus back into his Boosted Gear's inventory. He sighed and appeared back on the ground.
Issei started walking towards the group who all ran towards him. Rias hugged him. "Are you alright Issei?!" She asked him while checking over him. She saw the stab wound made by that arrow that pierced him.
"Yeah... I'm fine..." Issei whispered as he closed his eyes and fell down on the spot. Rias screamed as she caught him and laid him on the ground.
"The poison..... It's going to kill him...." Ophis whispered solemnly. On the inside, she was baffled at how he kept going and killed them all.
"No!!! Please don't do this!!!!!" Rias shouted as she and everyone tried every way to heal him. Everyone was shocked as they couldn't do anything to reverse the poison's effects. Phoenix Tears were useless. Even Twilight Healing didn't work.
"Ophis!! Please do something!!!" Sona asked desperately with tears falling down her eyes. Sona covered her mouth and sobbed as Ophis shook her head with a large frown on her face.
"I'm sorry, I can't. The poison cannot be reserved no matter how hard I try." Ophis muttered. Rias looked at Issei who was trying his best to keep himself alive.
Every part of his body was fighting back against the poison, but it was useless. The poison was absorbing every single part of his power.
"It's going to be alright Rias. It's going to be alright. You guys will find a way to bring me back.....I'm sure you will..... In the meantime.... I'ma just.... take a nap... " Issei muttered weakly and smiled a little. He then kept staring into the ceiling with a smile on his face.
" Issei? " Rias called him. He was unresponsive. At that moment, everyone knew he was dead.
"ISSEEI!!!!! NOOOOOO!!!!!" Rias screamed and started wailing loudly while hugging his body tightly. Sona who was kneeling beside her started wailing loudly.
Everyone was wailing. The men looked away, trying not to cry. Vali started at Issei with an angered and saddened expression.
"You promised me!!! You promised you would be there when I catch up!! You bastard!!!" Vali yelled angrily at his dead body while shedding tears.
The ones who didn't know him well had tears flowing down their eyes too. Le Fay was sobbing and sniffing loudly. Kuroka was trying and failing to compose herself.
Ophis stared with an expression of disbelief etched on her face. This was the person who made her bleed and made her actually try for once in a battle.
"Poison... Fucking poison killed you?" Ophis stuttered shakily. Suddenly, the Boosted Gear and Dividing Gear appeared and covered his arms.
"Everyone, It is I Ddraig. Do not cry anymore. You all do remember that after a user of the Boosted Gear dies, a part of their soul remains in the Boosted Gear right?
