Chapter 7: Story 1 Martial Glory Chapter 7
I just took a quick nap on my new bed. Then after some amount of time, my door received a series of rapping knocks on its surface that made my eyes snap open as I heard the familiar voice of Kasumi, the girl who kicked my ass not even a couple hours ago, telling me that dinner was ready.
Coming out of the room, my face twitched at seeing Kasumi's lewd casual 'outfit' that consisted of a girl's martial arts Gi but instead of pants she only wore stockings that came up to her thighs from her feet, and her Gi was practically wide open exposing the majority of her breasts with the extended flap of the Gi covering her front as the outfit didn't have anything covering the side of her waist...
Hence I could tell with a glance that she was wearing 'white'.
"Kasumi." I greeted her with a nod and she gave a small nod, maybe at me remembering her name or for some other reason.
But either way, she spoke up as I closed my door behind me. "I am here taking you to the disciple's table which will have Honoka, Marie, and someone else you haven't met yet." She explained as she turned on her heel and I absent-mindedly watched her brown ponytail bounce in the air rather than looking at her backside as I responded.
"Is it another disciple?" I asked wondering if it was Miu or if it was some other Dead or Alive character here in Ryouzonpaku. Or hell, someone from an entirely different franchise... If Baki Hanma was here, I was going to scream.
At my question, Kasumi only threw a cute smile and a wink at me obviously enjoying leaving me on tenterhooks while we walked to the large living room past the kitchen as we passed the kitchen I saw the other sitting room with some of the Grandmaster's enjoying their food together while discussing something quietly but in the brief glance, I had no idea what they were talking about.
We then reached the sitting room for the younger disciples and as I came in, I saw the previously mentioned Honoka Yamato in her school outfit and Marie Rose who was also in her school outfit. But besides the two girls was another girl. One with long blonde hair the same sunny gold color as the Elder's and sky blue eyes that were offset by a cute little beauty mark under her eye... And like Kasumi, she was being distracted as hell, as she was wearing a skin-tight purple leotard that clung to her voluptuous frame.
But I made sure not to gawk beyond a quick double-take before focusing on introducing myself normally. "Hello, my name is Jake Barriss, I am from America." I held out a hand to Miu to shake and as she took it I continued. "And its nice to meet you." I finished as I settled into my seat.
The blond smiled, nodding, and then confirmed my thoughts on who she was. "Hello Jake, my name is Miu Furiunji." She told me her name and then continued while she settled into her seat. "I already heard from my Grandfather, that you are a new disciple of Ryouzonpaku!" She said excitedly and I nodded and then pointed at the spread of dishes that were overloaded with food. "Just load up your plate with food Jake." She said leisurely as she dug into her own large bowl of rice and looked like a chicken.
But yeah... Just looking at the food, I could feel the fiber, and protein in it, as it was all high-energy workout foods. So I dug in, grabbing some rice, fish, and some beef stripes.
"So, how does Ryouzonpaku operate during the day?" I asked wondering if I needed to go to some school or something as although my new paperwork said I was over the age of eighteen I couldn't just be sitting on my ass all day when I wasn't training.
At my question, Marie snickered making me raise an eyebrow as she spoke excitedly. "Ryouzonpaku is a holy land for martial arts and with the large property things can get pretty hectic when other martial artists come visit..." She drawled off at the end before snickering as something came to her mind about what she had said. "But yeah you are likely going to be busy doing body conditioning and some light sparring unless some ninjas or another dojo decide to invade and break our dojo's plaque." She finished with a grin making me raise an eyebrow.
"What's the significance of a Dojo's plaque?" I asked honestly curious as I knew it had some significance but not its actual value or symbolism and Miu was the one who answered me as she placed down her chopsticks.
She looked up at the smaller plaque that was on the door leading out of the room that had the same symbols that made up the words Ryouzonpaku as she spoke. "All Dojo's with a Master or higher ranked martial artist within has their plaque's made and certified by the Kengan Association, with each plaque costing a hundred thousand dollars to commission from the Kengan Association..."
Miu said hauntedly and I flatly just stared at her as snickered with a wry smile as she continued. "But yeah... In order to encourage martial artists to grow and become stronger, the Kengan Association will also buy a Dojo's Plaque that is taken from a Dojo in a series of matches for upwards up to a hundred thousand depending on the rank of the dojo."
I couldn't help but shake my head at that insanity and wondered how this wasn't abused before I realized... Yeah anyone who attempted to fuck over the Kengan Association was likely going to receive greetings from the Kure clan of assassins or god knows who else.
Wordlessly as I sipped at my soda I digested my thoughts before I thought of something and asked Miu. "Miu, what rank is the dojo?" I asked curiously and all four girls snickered looking at me with pity as Marie who was sitting beside me patted my knee with a soft smile.
"Jake... Ryouzonpaku is the highest-rated Dojo in the entire world, to win our plaque is basically a check for more than ten million USD with how many plaques the Elder and the other master's have taken and sold to the Kengan Association." I now knew why there eyes were filled with pity as Honoko said wryly.
"Jake, as a new disciple of Ryouzonpaku you have already assuredly been registered by the Elder in the Kengan website, there is literally a hundred thousand clicks on your name and profile on the site with countless more trying to get your past information so they can make plans to kick your butt... Or worse as killing someone is worth more points in taking their Dojo's plaque." Honoka finished and silently I just placed my head on the table.
But then to seal my fate the soft and quiet radio that was going off in the background went to commercial and as I heard it I gave off a death rattle of exasperation as this was just bullshit! -Multinational Conglomerate, Umbrella Corporation has been hard at work creating new bodily-building workout powders and for their investors, there is wonderful news as they are proud to announce the new T-Series of vaccines for most modern lesser viruses and bacteria that will be hitting hospitals and clinics within the next two weeks at the beginning of the new fiscal quarter!-
Even as the radio went to talk about how ads I was busy mentally screaming to the point Kasumi poked me with the large rice spoon as she spoke softly. "Jake, your chi is screaming at a level I only saw when Kensei heard his daughter was in Japan looking for him... Are you alright?" She asked and in response, I just looked into her golden eyes and spoke flatly.
"I am just peachy..." I said and I was the living embodiment of the meme -This is fine-
