Chapter 19: Blake, Kelly and Ember
The Monarchs greeted each other warmly. "Ohh, my, it'sssss really you, Golden Monarch! I haven't sssseen you in forever. Are you doing okay, ssssweetheart?" exclaimed the hissing snake. "And Blueeey too is here," the snake continued.
"It's been a while, Golden Monarch and Azure Monarch," said the green turtle whole looking at them.
"It sure has been quite some time since we last met, Black Monarch," replied the Golden Monarch.
"Nice to meet you both once again, Black Monarch," added the Azure Monarch.
As they chatted, the Black Monarch noticed Alex standing in the middle of two miniature dragons. "Oh, and who might this child be?" asked the snake.
"He is Alexander Crown, and our master," replied the Golden Monarch.
"Master?!" both the turtle and the snake spoke in unison as they looked at Alex in surprise.
Unlike in the anime, the black monarch didn't make the fun of the heavenly beasts since the one in question was the Azure Monarch herself who is the kind of serious and calm type of individual unlike the impulsive and brash white monarch.
After some introductions and discussion, they agreed to form a contract with Alex if he completed their trial, which was to defeat them. "Very well, let's begin!" declared the green turtle.
The snake instantly released a water cannon from its mouth, which headed straight towards Alex. But Alex quickly cast a null spell to create an invisible shield in front of him, successfully defending against the attack.
He then cast his notorious slip spell, causing the Monarchs to fall, and started chanting another one of his spells. "Come forth, Water! Ballistic Bubbles: [Bubble Bomb]!"
A huge bubble of water manifested itself in front of Alex, and he increased the power of the spell by infusing an excessive amount of magic power before sending it towards the Black Monarch, who was trying to get up on his legs.
A loud "BOOM" echoed across the desert as the bubble burst, drenching the area in water. The mighty Black Monarch lay on the ground, completely unconscious.

After a while, the Black Monarch regained consciousness when Alex cast a healing spell on them.
"You are a really powerful human... I can see why the Azure and Golden Monarchs have accepted you as their master," the Black Monarch said.
"You have proven yourself worthy of being our master," the Golden Monarch added.
"Please bestow us with some splendid names, Master, and form the contract with us," hissed the Black Monarch.
"A name for both of them, huh... I named Celeste because of her blue color, and I shall go with the color in this one too. Let's see what black translates to in Latin... Oh, no, never mind. Let's see in another language. How about 'Blake' for you?" Alex said as he patted the Black snake's head.
"Blake, huh? It sounds nice. Very well, my name will be Blake from now on," the Black Monarch replied.
"And how about 'Kelly' for you? It means 'bright-headed' but is also associated with the color green," Alex suggested.
"Very well, then from now onwards, I will be known by the name of Kelly," Alex said while petting the green turtle's head with his other hand.
Both of them accepted their names and joined the other monarchs after their introductions. They were also shocked, like Celeste, when they learned about how huge Alex was. Magic reserves, obviously, and also joined Erica and Celeste in their miniature forms.
"Okay, now who shall we summon? Let's summon the Flame Monarch first."
"As you wish, my lord," Erica replied and repeated the summoning process.
The Flame Monarch appeared, about the size of a horse and almost identical to what one could only describe as a Phoenix. "Ah, it's you fellows. How nostalgic, it has been some time," the Flame Monarch said.
"It's been a while, Flame Monarch," Kelly greeted her.
"Long time no sssee, flamey baby." Blake also greeted the flame monarch in his own way.
"A beautiful entrance as ever, Flame Monarch," Erica added.
"Was it you that summoned me, boy?" The Flame Monarch asked Alex.
"That's right. This man is our lord, Alexander Crown," Celeste introduced Alex.
"Yes, I'm the one who summoned you here, Flame Monarch and wishes to form a contract with you"
"To form a contract with me? Master of the Azure Monarch, master of the Golden Monarch, and the master of the Black Monarch, I know now that you will likely qualify for any challenge I give you. Let us make a contract. I will become subordinate to you. There is no need to test you, for you have already passed. Alexander Crown, my liege... grant unto me a name," the Flame Monarch said.
"Very well, how about Ember?" Alex suggested.
"Ember... a fine name for me, from now on, Ember will be my name," the Flame Monarch accepted.
Like before, Alex, Celeste, Erica, Blake, and Kelly repeated their introductions to Ember and welcomed her to the team.
"So... Now it's time to summon the White Monarch," Alex announced.
"Master, do we really need to summon that insolent tiger?" Erica, who heard Alex, couldn't help but ask.
"Well, we have to... And if you don't like her, I won't force you to get along with her, just tolerate her," Alex replied while stroking Erica's serpentine head.
"I don't want you all to fight against each other under my command, so I hope you all take this as an order, and I will repeat this to the White Monarch too and order her not to annoy you," Alex added seriously.
"Very well, Master," Erica replied.
"So now let's begin the final summoning," Alex said.
"Oh before that Erica and Celeste can I cast an illusion spell on you both?"
"Huh? why" Celeste couldn't help but ask.
"I have heard from Erica, that you three aren't on good terms so I don't want White Monarch to see you and refuse to partake in the contract so how about this.."
"I will cast an illusion spell on you both to hide your presence and after the contract is formed then I shall introduce her to you both" Alex said with a mischievous smirk earning him smiles from all of his summoned beasts.
"Yes let's do this..hahaha I can't wait to see the face of the white monarch when she founds out about us"
"It would be sssso much fun, ssssweetheart"
"She is sure to get annoyed by this"
