' when I was young I was told that only people who set goals get to achieve them , but what will be said if my goal from the start was to kill '

"you had the guts to talk back!!, it seem it's be long since I've put you in your place"
a drunk man yelled at his wife
" you took all the money I save for our son to go gamble, even if you wanted to gamble why can't you use your own money ?"
" you stupid whore !!, you can't talk to me like that " he said as he grabbed her neck and banged her head on the wall
" leave her alone " their son of around twelve years came to parlour
" shut up or I will shut you up my self"
" I told you leave my mother !" he yelled with his hands turned to a fist
" first you talk back to me then your stupid son as the guts to yell at me , tell me why should I still keep you alive ?" he asked seeing hold her head that started to bleed
" because you will nothing but a useless

the man didn't wait to let her finish, he grabbed a bottle and broke it before bringing it to stab her , but before he could stab her he suddenly stopped
the women opened her eyes to see his face pulled to a frown before blood came out of his mouth and he stumbled backwards , she was so shocked she held her mouth with her hand to stop her self from screaming
her son stood not far away from her husband dead body holding a knife with blood all over his body
" don't worry daddy is gone now, he will not pester you again "
how is a mother going to behave to see her son kill her husband right in front of her ?
she shook her head to have tears come out of eyes ,as she cried the little boy frowned
" his finally gone , you don't need to cry "
" why did you do that?" she asked in between her tears
" he wanted to kill you so I killed him " he answered
" no Theo , no " she then hugged him and continued
" you have committed a sin " she said and cleaned her tears " we have to leave "
she packed a few clothes and some few coins she had left , she dressed her wound and Theodore wore anther cloth seeing his other was stained with blood
" mother were are we going ?" the little boy asked
" somewhere far away from here "

Theodore didn't know how long they had been travelling, but after some few days they finally got to a small village at the heart of the land of Neva named sepia
Theodore's mom used all the money she
brought to pay the carriage, and now she was left with nothing
she held Theo's hand and walked through the familiar streets until they arrived at a mansion with huge gates and guards
some of the old guards that recognise Theo's mom opened the gate for her
she knocked on the door , to have a middle aged lady open the door
" Sophie?" the old woman asked Sophie , who was apparently her daughter
" mom we need to talk "
"please come in" she opened the door wide enough for Sophie and Theodore to enter
When they finally sat down the old woman offered water to Sophie
" what happened? " she asked seeing Sophie calm down
" is dad around ?"
"No"
" it about Theo " she said relax that her dad wasn't around
" what about him?" she asked as her gaze fell on Theo
" I killed the drunkard that was unfortunately my dad " Theo said unblinkingly
"(coughs) what kind of joke is this ?"
she almost got choked , how can a child that that not even a teen kill a man , it must be a joke right?
" Michael, came home drunk , he used the money I've been saving for Theo to continue his schooling, I was angry so I confronted him then he snapped and tried to kill me , Theodore didn't know-------" she explained in a very worried tone
" I know what I did , dad was a useless drunkard that I've been planning to kill and that looked like the perfect time " Theodore said with a very calm voice that sent a chill down their spine
" watch your mouth young man " his grandmother said not believing the words that came out from a twelve year old boy
"mother please help me Theo might beheaded for his treason" Sophie said almost in tears
"this is not the time to be driven by emotions , maybe you can---------- "

" are you trying to tarnish our family's reputation again ?,if your stupid son killed his father that's none of my business, As the kid said he knew what he did " her father who had been eavesdropping finally revealed him self
" James , don't be like " her mom tried pleading with her husband
"and you Lucy if you had trained your daughter she wouldn't had run away"
" father , please I'm sorry I know I've not been an competent child but I ask you for help even if it just once "
" Sophie don't worry your father doesn't mean it , your welcome to stay with us " her mother ensured her
"No, she decided to run away with that man she called it on her self "
"dad please I really have nowhere else to go to "
" mom you ran away with that scumbag? " Theodore said with a hint of disappointment
"two foolish people madly in love " he continued and shook his head
"You weren't taught to stay silent when two adults are talking?" James snapped at his grandson
" I only see two adults and a old hag yelling just because his daughter did something wrong in the past " Theodore cold gaze met gaze his
" tell me , would my mother have ever met that stupid c*nt if you had protected her from him , you and your wife are the cause of this and stop blaming it on my innocent mom !"
though Theodore was young his words were matured and sensible than his peers, he was exposed at a rather young age and that lead to his quick maturity
" you bewitched child!"
"James stop it , the boy is right we are the ones to blame , stop yelling and let's settle this calmly, it's a murder we are talking about "
James sat down and drank a glass of water before saying
" the boy wouldn't be charged, fortunately you husband is of a low status and the magistrate as other things to do than find out who killed a drunkard "
" but are you sure ?" Sophie asked meekly afraid if her dad was going to lash at her
"you said he liked to gamble his death will be automatically link to him owning debt and eventually causing the people he owned to kill him and your disappearance will be them talking you as hostage " Lucy his grandmother said
" so Theo will be saved?" asked the worried mother
" hmm" her mother ensured her
no one knew how much Sophie love Theo , after having everyone leave and disowned her she found comfort in him as he was always there for her
" just because your mom decided to make you stay doesn't mean I accepted you " her father told her and drew a clear line before going to stare at Theo who returned the gaze
"I'll be talking this one with me to church , he committed a crime against the lord "
" I don't regret anything only the fact that I didn't get to torture him-------"
"Theodore" his mom and grandmother said at the same time to stop him from talking
