Chapter 15: Bambi Gets Found Out

"Cleo!"

Bambi's heart raced as he watched Alexandria cough up blood and collapse to the floor. He immediately called out for Cleo, but she was nowhere in sight. Panic set in as Bambi realized he was alone in this situation.

"Cleo?!" Bambi cried out. Alexandria coughed up blood, this time in the heaps. "Fuck! Come on, Cleo, where are you?!" He called out, still holding Alexandria's hand. But as each second passed, the realization sunk in that Cleo wasn't coming. Bambi was on his own.

Bambi's panic continued to grow as he knelt beside the little girl, Alexandria, desperately trying to wake her up. He had never felt so helpless before.

But, he didn't have to be so helpless. Something inside his head whispered.

He frantically glanced around, hoping that Cleo would miraculously appear and save the day. But she was nowhere to be seen. Bambi's heart sank as he realized that he was on his own. He had never been in this situation before; he didn't know what to do. All he could do was hold onto Alexandria's hand and call out for Cleo, the only person he thought could help him. Or, did he?

But as the seconds ticked by and Alexandria continued to cough up blood, Bambi was faced with a hard decision.

He had to do it. But, it's not worth it. It was the right thing to do.

But, he could risk being captured, tortured, or even worse.

Should he do it?

But that came with its own set of risks. If anyone found out, he could be in serious trouble. And as an Omega, he wasn't supposed to have a Trait. But then again, he couldn't just let Alex die.

As if in response to his doubts, Alexandria coughed up blood again, her face pale and her breaths shallow.

Bambi couldn't take it anymore. He remembered how the little girl had called him her first friend, and that was enough for him to throw his doubts out the window. He couldn't let her die, not when he could possibly do something to save her.

That was it, Bambi had made up his mind. He couldn't let a little girl die. What would his sister think of him right now?!

He would do whatever it takes to save her.

With determination in his heart, Bambi pressed his hands onto Alex's chest and focused all of his energy into healing her.

He felt his nerves start to glow green, a faint white light emitting from them. His hair turned white and flowy, a clear sign that he had activated his trait - [Healing].

"You better wake up, Alex or I'll kill you myself again," Bambi cursed out, before gritting his teeth as he closed his eyes to focus.

With trembling hands, he pressed down on her chest with all his strength. Bambi concentrated all his energy onto Alexandria, willing her to be okay. He could feel his own energy draining quickly as he focused on her. He had never used his trait for such a sustained amount of time before. But he couldn't give up, not when he was so close to saving her.

He could feel the energy flowing through him, mending Alex's injured body. It was unlike anything he had ever experienced before. He had never used his Trait on someone else before, let alone someone he cared about. But at that moment, it didn't matter. All that mattered was saving Alex's life.

After what felt like hours, but was only a few seconds, Alexandria's breathing stabilized and her coughing subsided. Bambi let out a deep breath, feeling exhausted and drained. He had never used his trait in this way before, and it took a lot out of him. But seeing Alexandria finally at peace and sleeping, he knew it was worth it.

He let out a small smile, but that smile was short-lived.

But as Bambi looked down at Alex, a sudden realization hit him. No Omega was supposed to have a Trait. It was forbidden and kept a secret at all costs. He couldn't let anyone find out about this, especially not Cleo.

"So, you do have a Trait." A sly voice cut through the silence.

Fuck.

Bambi felt a hand on his shoulder and he turned around, his heart racing. It was Cleo, the smug smirk on her face making Bambi's heart sink to his stomach. She had seen everything. He was exposed.

Bambi's mind raced as he tried to come up with a way out of this situation. But deep down, he knew there was no escape. He was out of options.

He slowly stood up, feeling defeated and vulnerable. He had always been careful to hide his trait, and now it was all worth nothing. An Alpha saw him. A fucking Alpha saw him use his power.

Cleo knew the truth.

Cleo walked towards Bambi, her gaze piercing and her demeanor calculating. She had always been one step ahead of him, and now he was about to pay the price for his secret.

"I...I can explain," Bambi stuttered, desperately trying to come up with an excuse.

Cleo's smirk only grew wider as she crossed her arms, amused by Bambi's floundering. "Oh, I'm sure you can," she said, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

Bambi hung his head in defeat. He had trusted his decision, believing that no one would see him. But now that was all shattered. He was about to face the consequences.

But then, as he thought about it, he realized that Cleo had been there all along. She had been hiding and waiting for Bambi to use his trait, even though her own daughter was dying. What the actual fuck?!

"You. . .you're the fucking worst!"

Anger swelled up in Bambi as he stood up to face Cleo. "You were there the whole time, weren't you? You just stood there and watched as your daughter was dying, just waiting for me to do something!" He seethed, his voice trembling with emotion.

Cleo's smirk turned into a cold, calculating expression. "And what if I was?"

Bambi's anger turned into disbelief as he heard her heartless words. "But your own daughter was at risk! How could you just stand there and do nothing?"

Cleo's expression didn't change as she gave her answer, her voice cold and uncaring. "So that I could see for myself."

"Are you that fucking crazy that you'll let your daughter, yo-you'll let a kid die in cold blood, just to prove your case?!" Bambi pointed a trembling finger at her.

Cleo only scoffed. "I've done much worse." She walked around slowly. "Besides, I knew you had a trait. Oh yes, I knew the moment the mortal wound I had inflicted upon that brat had been healed, and he was up and running."

Bambi's eyes rolled around, figuring out what she meant. His eyes widened in realization.

"You were the one that nearly killed Apollo?!"
