Chapter 96: Chapter 96: Bishamonten's Assault

A twenty-meter-tall wooden statue.

Its head was crushed by a powerful Painful Sky Kick from Dan, who descended from the sky. The massive body sank several meters into the ground.

As the wooden debris scattered in the air, Dan stood atop the decapitated wooden statue, slowly turning his gaze towards Guruguru, who was hiding nearby.

Guruguru was startled, jumping up and flailing his arms and legs, shouting, "What a terrifying guy."

Before his words had even finished, the countless arms behind the wooden statue, under his control, moved in unison, reaching out to grab Dan.

Though the head of the wooden statue had been destroyed by Dan, its mountainous body and numerous Wood Release arms still posed a significant threat.

Seeing the Wood Release arms attacking, Dan leaped backward, leaving the body of the wooden statue and hovering in mid-air.

However, he wasn't trying to escape, but rather, to launch an even more violent attack.

In an instant, his Stand, "The World," appeared behind Dan, synchronizing with him, both facing the massive body of the wooden statue.

After a brief moment of suspension in the air, they fell towards the ground at the speed of free fall.

During this process, Dan and The World's four fists pounded furiously, like a high-speed pile driver, creating countless afterimages of their fists.

Each punch created an air explosion, continuously detonating like a storm, all landing on the body of the wooden statue.

After countless punches, Dan finally landed lightly on the ground, and The World, having finished its task, returned to his body.

His heart was pounding violently, his skin was as red as a hot iron, veins bulging, and his entire body was emitting white smoke. His condition was like a machine that had just finished operating at full capacity.

Dan took a deep breath, then slowly exhaled, adjusting his breath to calm his body.

Then, he looked up at the wooden statue.

The next second, with a crack, the wooden statue split in half from the neck down to the crotch along a line in the middle, under the horrified gaze of everyone.

The towering wooden statue, under the violent bombardment of Dan and "The World," just... collapsed.

As expected of Dan.

The Uchiha clan members were reminded of the scene where Dan had torn apart the Susano'o with his bare hands. The scene before them was strikingly similar.

Tsunade was even more shocked.

Dan's use of the Painful Sky Kick and his superhuman strength had surpassed her, a member of the Senju clan.

Dan calmly watched as the wooden statue fell, raising a cloud of dust.

If it was the Wood Release: Wood Human Technique used by the First Hokage, it would be over a hundred meters tall, capable of single-handedly fighting against a complete Susano'o, and even catching a Tailed Beast Ball released by the Nine-Tails.

But the wooden statue that Guruguru had created was nothing more than a low-grade knockoff.

Guruguru emerged from the dust.

"You actually broke my toy, I'm really angry, I'm going to beat you up," he said, clenching his fist and making a thumbs-down gesture at Dan.

Very cheeky.

However, just as Guruguru finished his threat, Dan mysteriously crossed a distance of more than ten meters, appearing in front of Guruguru in an instant, and punched him in the abdomen, concentrating all his chakra into one point.

It exploded.

Before Guruguru could react, he was sent flying like a

cannonball and slammed into the mountainside by Dan's punch.

The massive impact caused most of the mountainside to collapse, burying Guruguru within it.

An average person hit by Dan's punch would undoubtedly die, their body lucky to not be torn apart on the spot.

But surprisingly, even after taking a full-force punch from Dan, Guruguru still managed to get up, cursing and swearing.

It was visible that his entire chest had caved in, but it was slowly recovering at a pace visible to the naked eye.

It seemed that for Guruguru, this level of attack was still not fatal.

But he wasn't a fool, he didn't want to keep getting hit.

"Obito, I really tried my best, but I couldn't hold the Mountain Graveyard. This guy is too scary, if I keep playing with him, I'm afraid I'll really get beaten to death..."

Guruguru muttered to himself, looking at Dan with a fearful glance, then suddenly turned and ran.

He fled without looking back.

Could he escape?

Dan wouldn't let Guruguru go, he took large strides to chase after him, and used a partial Multiplier Technique.

With a swoosh, a giant hand swept past, grabbing Guruguru like a chicken, rendering him unable to move.

On the other side, the Uchiha clan members, after dealing with the remaining White Zetsu, also rushed over.

Fugaku and Shisui both put away their respective Susano'o, came to Dan, and discussed with him seriously, "Dan, what's the relationship between this Guruguru and the masked man you met before? How do you plan to deal with this guy?"

From Guruguru's formidable strength, it could be inferred that he must be an important figure in the enemy camp. Interrogating him might yield key intelligence.

Dan shook his head, telling them, "Ordinary interrogation genjutsu probably won't work on him."

After saying this, he demonstrated on the spot, using his Sharingan to release a genjutsu attack on Guruguru.

"Ah, something's getting into my brain! Is it the power of the Sharingan? I'm scared... huh, I'm fine."

Guruguru was initially scared, but quickly realized that he was immune to Dan's genjutsu.

So he laughed heartily, saying smugly, "Stupid humans, I'm an artificial human, smarter than you. Don't think you can get any information out of me."

With a crunch, before his words were finished, Dan's hand tightened, instantly turning Guruguru's smugness into a scream.

"It seems that the cells of the First Hokage have given this guy a strong resistance to genjutsu," Dan speculated.

"Since we can't get anything out of him..."

Upon hearing this, Fugaku immediately said coldly, "Then let's kill this Guruguru, to avenge our fallen clan members. Dan, let him go, let me deal with this guy."

Guruguru's body contained a high amount of Hashirama's cells, making his body extremely robust, and he could heal automatically after being injured. Therefore, it was almost impossible to kill him with ordinary means.

So, Fugaku was preparing to use the power of his Mangekyou Sharingan.

In addition to hosting Amaterasu, which could predict the future, his eyes had another ability, arguably the strongest physical attack.

"My Mangekyou technique can summon black flames from the center of the sun to the focus of my gaze, burning everything to ashes..."

As Fug

aku explained to the others, he focused his gaze on Guruguru.

Once the black flames of Amaterasu were summoned, no matter what this creature was, the flames wouldn't extinguish until it was burned to ashes.

Fugaku was confident.

Just then, Dan said, "Wait."

Dan, however, temporarily stopped Fugaku, then looked meaningfully at Shisui and asked, "Shisui, I've heard that your genjutsu is the strongest among the Uchihas, do you... have any ideas?"

Hearing this, Shisui hesitated, but under Dan's intense gaze, he also realized that he must find a way to pry open Guruguru's mouth.

Shisui's expression changed several times.

Finally, he spoke up, "Maybe I can try, but... it's best to find a separate place, and the fewer people present, the better."

Was Shisui... not wanting others to know about his Mangekyou ability?

Fugaku frowned, but he could understand Shisui's concerns, so he took the initiative to say, "Then I'll leave it to you two, I'll go check on the injured."

After saying that, he turned around and left, commanding the Uchiha members.

"Let's go."

Dan gave Shisui a glance, took Guruguru, and once again leaped up to a spot above a cliff several tens of meters high.

Then he signaled to Shisui that he could start.

Shisui nodded, walked up to Guruguru with a serious face, and stared at him with his Mangekyou.

"Again?"

Guruguru probably knew that the other party was going to use genjutsu on him again, but he wasn't afraid at all, instead, he looked at Shisui with a defiant gaze.

Dan squinted his eyes.

From his Sharingan, he could see Shisui's ocular power continuously releasing from his right eye, following the spiral on Guruguru's face, and entering the latter's brain.

After a few seconds of staring at each other.

"Why did the White Zetsu infiltrate the Uchiha clan meeting to monitor us? Who are you, and what are your intentions?" Shisui was the first to ask.

Normally, Guruguru wouldn't answer such questions, but surprisingly, he said, "Oh, you guys are also called Uchiha? No wonder I felt that your eyes are exactly the same as that guy's."

Guruguru exclaimed in surprise, muttering to himself.

"Who is that guy?" Shisui immediately asked, realizing that Guruguru was referring to the successor of Uchiha Madara, the masked man who had fought with Dan.

"Of course it's Obito."

Guruguru didn't even think about it, he just blurted it out, and even curiously asked Shisui back, "Isn't Obito, like Madara, one of you Uchihas? You should have heard his name."

Obito?

Upon hearing this, Shisui felt it was very familiar, but he couldn't remember it for a moment, so he looked at Dan.

Dan looked surprised, pretending to just find out, and recalled, "Obito was Kakashi's former teammate. During the Third Great Ninja War, he gave one of his eyes to Kakashi before he died. I didn't expect Obito to fake his death and be chosen as Madara's successor."

"Ah, right, right, right."

Guruguru quickly followed Dan's words, adding, "That's right, Madara saved Obito, transplanted Hashirama's cells into him, and even had me accompany Obito for rehabilitation training. But that guy always looks so bitter and full of hatred, he never understands the punchlines of my jokes..."

At this moment.

He suddenly let down all his defenses, talking non

stop about whatever came to mind, like he was just chatting.

"Obito..."

Shisui murmured the name.

So, the instigator of the Nine-Tails incident years ago was Uchiha Obito?

At this moment.

Thud.

Dan released his multiplication technique, loosening his grip on Guruguru, causing him to fall on his butt.

"Why did you suddenly become so honest, answering whatever I ask? You're not lying, are you?" He asked Guruguru with a poker face.

"No, no, no."

Hearing this, Guruguru quickly waved his hands and explained, "At first, I thought an enemy had invaded, but then I realized you guys are Uchiha ninjas, just like Madara and Obito, we're all family. I made a mistake, sorry about that, hehe."

He even scratched the back of his head apologetically, apologizing to Dan and Shisui, completely unaware of anything wrong.

Dan looked at Shisui, asking him with his eyes what was going on.

Shisui knew he couldn't hide his Mangekyou ability any longer.

First, he said to Guruguru, "You're tired, take a nap."

Upon hearing this, Guruguru yawned, smacked his lips and said, "I am a bit tired, I used a lot of chakra just now. But I've never slept before, I don't know if I can fall asleep, I'll give it a try."

After saying that, he lay down on the ground, spreading his limbs out in a big character shape, trying to mimic the way humans sleep.

Unexpectedly, just a few seconds later, he was sound asleep.

Seeing this, Shisui stopped releasing the power of his right eye, temporarily stopping his control over Guruguru.

Then.

Before Dan could speak, he took a deep breath and confessed:

"My Mangekyou technique is called Kotoamatsukami..."

Kotoamatsukami, the world's strongest genjutsu, because it can invade the target's brain directly without being detected, and modify the target's will.

In other words.

Those affected by Kotoamatsukami are unaware that they are being controlled and willingly become Shisui's puppets.

At first hearing, this technique indeed seems invincible.

But Dan's nephew, Itachi Uchiha, once said in the original story: every technique has a weakness.

That's right.

As Shisui detailed the ability of Kotoamatsukami, Dan finally discovered the biggest weakness of Kotoamatsukami.

That is— this technique cannot "create something out of nothing" to implant a certain will in the target, but must use the target's potential thoughts, strengthen the suggestion through Kotoamatsukami, and amplify that thought infinitely.

Kotoamatsukami is built on the target's own thought logic.

Because of this the target cannot realize that they are being controlled, and they think it's their own idea.

For example, in the original story, during the Five Kage Summit, the general of the Iron Country, Mifune, under the influence of Kotoamatsukami, voluntarily proposed the formation of a Ninja Alliance and nominated Danzo as the leader of the alliance.

That's because Mifune himself had the desire to maintain peace in the ninja world, and his original impression of Danzo was not bad.

Also.

In the original story, Itachi, after being affected by the "Protect Konoha" Kotoamatsukami, successfully overrode the command of the Edo Tensei and escaped Kabuto's control.

That's because Itachi himself firmly believed in the Will of Fire, and for Konoha, he could even do something as monstrous as killing the entire Uchiha clan.

That's why Kotoamatsukami worked.

In that case...

Dan felt relieved.

If Shisui wanted to use Kotoamatsukami to brainwash him, to make him protect Konoha or something—sorry, there's no chance of success.

Protect Konoha? Laughable.

In Dan's heart, from the day he was born to his current age of twenty-four, he has never had such a thought.

Not even a bit.

Not only did he not have such a thought, but it was the complete opposite—he couldn't wait to see Konoha destroyed.

Kotoamatsukami can't create something out of nothing.

So if Shisui forcibly used the technique on Dan, he would definitely be detected by Dan, leading to failure.

Shisui didn't know what Dan was thinking at the moment.

He originally thought that after he revealed the ability of Kotoamatsukami, Dan would be very wary, but now it seemed that Dan was completely calm.

As expected of you.

Shisui couldn't help but admire Dan even more.

So next, it was about how to deal with Guruguru.

On this matter, Dan thought for a moment and proposed a suggestion that surprised Shisui.
