Chapter 105: Fate of the cursed one

The people of Olarva breathed a collective sigh of relief as the first rays of the morning sun pierced the darkness, chasing the shadows away. It had been a long and dreadful night, one that had left an indelible scar on the village, but with the Ethereals slain, the villagers could rest easy again.

As Xander opened his drowsy eyes, his head throbbed in pain. It felt like he had been sleeping for days.

When he was finally able to sit up straight, it all came back to him. The last thing he remembered before it had all gone blank was his system panel flashing open right after he had slain the Infernal Hound.

Scrambling back to his feet, Xander rubbed the sleep from his eyes and opened them wide. Almost immediately, a cold shudder ran down his spine as he spotted Bill's mutilated corpse lying on the blood-stained ground.

Xander's heart pounded as he looked around frantically. "Tiva!" he shouted like a madman, his eyes scanning through the crowd of onlookers.
