"I've noticed a few signs. For one, red seems to be your favorite color. Your motorcycle is red, and Tiamat even mentioned that your wings are red. It can't be just a coincidence. It's a consistent element with you," Vali stated, her gaze serious as she locked eyes with Issei.

'Oh no! She knows! I can't believe she figured it out... I need to keep my composure,' Issei thought, shocked by Vali's observation. He maintained a calm exterior as he met her gaze.

"I suppose," Issei replied calmly, bracing himself for Vali to expose his secret at any moment.

Vali continued her line of questioning, her tone serious. "Who mentored you, Issei? Was it the Red Dragon Emperor?"

'Oh no... It's game over. I might as well be honest,' Issei thought, accepting the inevitable.

"Yeah," he answered slowly.

"The Sekiryuutei trained you then?! Where is he? When did you last see him?" Vali demanded, her expression intense.

'Wait... She doesn't think I'm the Sekiryuutei? I thought she was asking if you trained me, Ddraig,' Issei communicated with his Dragon partner.

'I thought she had uncovered your secret for a moment there. It seems she believes someone else is the Sekiryuutei and that they trained you,' Ddraig responded, relieved to have avoided immediate exposure.

"Yes, he was my mentor," Issei affirmed, playing along with Vali's misconception.

Vali's eyes widened in disbelief. "That's unbelievable... You know one of the Heavenly Dragon wielders? When did you meet him? How did you meet him? What's his name? Can you describe him?"

"Whoa, slow down with the questions. I met him when I was younger, and he trained me for about a year. I have no idea what his name was," Issei fabricated, skillfully constructing a false narrative.

"What does he look like? Do you have any information on his whereabouts?" Vali inquired earnestly.

Issei regarded her skeptically, gauging her intentions. "Why do you want to know so badly?"

"Because Ophis has been searching for him," Vali revealed, her response adding a layer of urgency.

Issei let out a sigh, gathering his thoughts before responding, "Honestly, I have no clue where he went. The last I heard from him, he was interested in seeking out artifacts from different mythologies to increase his strength. He mentioned something about wanting to become stronger to face the White Dragon Emperor. As for his appearance, I can't say for certain. Every time I saw him, he was donning red armor."

'Keep it up, Issei! Your cover story is holding together quite well!' Ddraig encouraged Issei silently.

"Balance Breaker Scale Mail," Vali said aloud, her eyes narrowing in thought. "So, he's training to confront the White Dragon Emperor, you say?"

Issei nodded, affirming her question. "Yes, that's what I believe. The White Dragon Emperor must be his intended opponent."

"Why did he choose to train you then? Were you one of his subordinates?" Vali inquired, shaking her head slightly.

"He trained me simply because I'm a red dragon, and he seemed to appreciate that aspect," Issei replied with a nonchalant shrug.

"Hmm...no wonder you possess such fearlessness in this realm. To think you're connected to the Red Dragon Emperor," Vali commented, expressing her approval.

"If you say so...I think he just took pity on me for being a half-breed," Issei continued, maintaining his façade.

'God, this cover story has become quite convoluted. Vali and Tiamat are quite persistent,' Issei thought, feeling a mixture of relief and disbelief that Vali was buying into his lies.

Vali's expression shifted into a slight frown as she looked into Issei's eyes once again. "Being a half-breed can be quite challenging. I understand that you probably don't like discussing it, but trust me, I can relate."

Curious to shift the focus away from himself, Issei inquired, "What is it like for you being a devil half-breed?"

"It's considered a great mark of shame among most devils. In my case, it's even worse since my family is of pure devil lineage," Vali sighed, a hint of frustration in her voice.

"Is that where the Lucifer surname comes from?" Issei asked, tilting his head in confusion.

"Yes...I am the great-granddaughter of the original Lucifer. My family is the only one that truly deserves that name. The usurper, Sirzechs Gremory, also bears the title of Lucifer. He currently rules over Hell. I don't mind that he holds power, but I find it insulting that he shares my name," Vali explained, her tone revealing a sense of pride and discontent.

Issei nodded, beginning to understand her perspective. "Well, that explains why you have opposing views toward their faction."

Vali let out a sigh, her frustration apparent. "Yeah, but to be honest, I don't really care about the politics behind it. It doesn't matter to me who rules over Hell. However, I do have an issue with those betrayers wearing the names of the original devil kings while their rightful heirs still live. I may not particularly like the Old Satan leaders, but they do deserve their ancestral names."

"I can't fully understand your position, but I can grasp your point," Issei responded, observing Vali's irritated expression.

"Do you see how those Gremory and Sitri girls carry themselves, thinking they're superior? It infuriates me every time I come across those arrogant princesses. Yes, I am a devil royalty as well, but the difference between me and them, Issei, is that I had to prove myself to my family and the Khaos Brigade. I wasn't pampered or sheltered like them. I had to fight... I had to be strong. On the other hand, they can simply hide behind their elder siblings. It sickens me. Hell has become a mockery with all the Rating Games and their aristocratic pretenses," Vali expressed with a dark tone.

Issei looked at her with confusion. "Elder siblings?"

"Yes, the false Lucifer Gremory and false Leviathan Sitri," Vali clarified.

"How powerful are they?" Issei asked, genuine curiosity in his voice.

Vali shrugged nonchalantly. "They were powerful enough to overthrow Hell. I'm fairly certain the current Satans are not to be taken lightly. At least that's what my grandfather, Rizevim, believes. He doesn't seem to care as much about the usurpers ruling Hell as the other Old Satan leaders do, or else we would have witnessed another civil war by now."
