Chapter 4: PLAN WITHIN PLAN

"Here you go, Mr. Ekrem, how can I help you?"

The sweet and submissive voice from the other side let go of the tension that had just formed between him and his wife.

"Come and pick me up from the house at seven in the morning after you have completed the preparations we agreed upon earlier. We are going to Istanbul for a few days."

"Of course, sir, as you ordered."

After finishing the conversation, Ekrem poured himself another glass of wine and started drinking to end the day.

Secretary Jale, on the other hand, did not leave the phone when the call was over, but texted a secret number, "Started", and contacted some people to start the necessary preparations, and ended the night.

At the same time, in an underground work area with dozens of computers and users in a certain place, an old man with a slightly hunched waist, graying hair and beard, but his eyes did not lose their brightness, briefly looked at the message on the phone screen that said "started" and left it on the table in front of him. Pushing his chair away from the table, he stood up, took a mother-of-pearl inlaid walking stick beside him, and started walking away from the elevator in the direction of the elevator.

At the same time, a man and a woman who were in the room began to follow the old man.

The old man and then the other two followed him into the elevator, which opened.

When the elevator started moving up, the old man said;

"Asli, Kerem. My dear grandchildren, I have never told you why I have been educating you all this time and you have never asked me and I am very grateful to you for that.

The woman and man in the back were actually twins, the old man's grandchildren, and they had been wondering for years why their parents and even their grandmothers had been training them so hard, but they hadn't asked because they knew that they shouldn't ask unnecessary questions unless the other party told them because of the training they had received.

Asli;

"We didn't ask because we knew Grandpa would tell him when he was ready."

She said meekly.

Kerem remained silent because his sister had said what needed to be said.

The old man nodded slowly, and just then the elevator doors opened.

A magnificent mansion in the middle of nowhere in a mountainous country in the darkness of the night, with lights that almost contrasted with the darkness of the night. The old man and his grandchildren came out of the elevator door, which opened with a dinging sound coming from inside the stone mansion, which has a unique Ottoman architecture.

The old man did not continue what he was saying and his grandchildren did not tell him to continue.

The old man in the front and the twins in the back continued on their way. They walked to the wooden pavilion by the ornamental fountain in the garden, where the honeysuckle flower surrounded the pavilion like ivy, spreading its pleasant scent and giving a strange peace to those who smelled it.

After the old man sat down on the arbor, he motioned for them to sit opposite him and sat down with them. Then he picked a white honeysuckle flower from where it grew at arm's length and held it to his nose to smell, then showed the flower to his grandchildren again;

"It was my wife's favorite flower. I asked one day. I said, "Why do you love this flower so much? It is not as beautiful as a rose or as noble as an orchid. She told me that you were not the most beautiful or noble man I had ever seen, but I loved you as much as I loved honeysuckle.

The old man's eyes narrowed slightly as he recalled memories from the distant past, one of the rarest smiles since his wife's death.

"When she said that, I got a little angry, because everyone wants to be the most beautiful or handsome in the eyes of their loved ones, and so did I. When she realized I was angry, she put her arms around my neck and kissed me on the cheek. That's when I realized that he said that on purpose to make me angry. She went on to say just one thing.

"Honeysuckle may not look pretty, but to me it is the most fragrant flower. Just as you are not the most beautiful, you are the most beautiful in your heart. And I fell in love with your beautiful heart, and I wanted to have a place in that beautiful place. My prayers were answered and I became the happiest person in the world.

Although the past is beautiful when it is remembered, its end was always sad. As the old memories came to an end, her eyes began to age, but they stuck to her eyelids as if they were stubbornly refusing to fall out of her eyes.

"Although he says that she is the happiest, I am sure that she is not happier than me. Maybe I was like honeysuckle, but she was as beautiful as a rose, as noble as an orchid, and as fragrant as honeysuckle. If you asked me what is perfect, I would say 'Leyla'. And I had the perfect wife.

Although the twins did not show emotions on their faces due to the education they received, storms broke out inside them, it was the first time their grandfather had talked to them so much. Moreover, they had never talked about their families until now, but now it's like a river with a broken dam, as if it's having a hard time stopping.

Actually, the old man was aware of it, but because the burden he was carrying was heavy or because he had been teaching his grandchildren more than being a grandfather until now, maybe both wanted to be a grandfather and tell a story this time.

"Anyway, young people, leave the past for another day."

He said and snapped his fingers. She was in his fifties as if waiting for the signal, dressed in a one-piece dress that did not show her body lines, her face had lines that could not resist the flow of time, but just like the old man, the light in her eyes remained bright. Although her hair did not turn completely white, most of it was white, and the rest was chestnut color, just like his eyes.

Her handed the big brown envelope to the old man and withdrew without a word.

The old man slid the envelope off the table and handed it to his grandchildren.

Kerem took the envelope and opened it and saw the pictures and information of the two young people, then looked at his grandfather questioningly.

"Tomorrow morning they will try to kidnap these two young people. Do not help until the last moment, bring them here without a trace with their families when the time comes."

The old man did not say anything more. It wasn't necessary because his grandchildren were the best in their business.

They gathered the envelope and got up on the moon and kissed their grandfather's right hand in turn and placed it on their foreheads. Afterwards, they got on the helicopter on the runway next to the villa and disappeared into the darkness of the night.

She handed the large brown envelope to the old man and retreated without a word.

The old man pushed the envelope off the table and handed it to his grandchildren.
