He placed the tray of food in front of her.
"Eat up".
He left Kali's cell, moving the trolley he stopped in front of Finley's cell.
This time he did not open the cell protector but passed the tray of food through a small opening in the metal bars.
"Take it away...". Finley spoke.
"You will need it". He said and left.
Finley quickly ran to the side of the wall where she communicates with Kali.
"Kali... Kali, are you okay?". She whispered.
"I am fine". Kali replied weakly in a low voice.
Finley sighed deeply, why did she end up like this? Why will the first man she tried to have a relationship with, be a person like Rowan?
She sat with her back to the wall, she leaned her head back as she hugged her knees.
"We will escape here". She said softly.
"Maybe you because there's no hope for me again". Kali replied.
Finley begins to think, she needs to do something, but what?.
She just has to pray that her friends on the outside notice her disappearance, inform the police, and trace her whereabouts.
Thinking back to when all this started, she begins to have flashbacks and regrets not listening to her friend's advice.
*Flashback*.
"You have only known this guy for two weeks and you are going out with him on a date today, isn't that too fast?".
A very beautiful young girl asked Finley as she lay on the bed with her bare chest exposing her small pair of breasts.
"How is this one?".
Finley ignored her question as she turned around to show her friend the black set of underwear, she just put on.
"It matches my skin very well". Finley continued as she admired her body in the mirror.
"Don't tell me....".
"No, it's a first date, Shane, but just in case... You know what I mean". Finley winked at her.
Shane rolled her eyes at her friend.
It's not like she doesn't want her to be happy and have a happy relationship but isn't it too early? Especially if it's her first time.
"How many months did it take you to know that, Conrad, is the one, huh?". Finley asked suddenly with a smirk.
"Are you serious? Conrad was my classmate in high school, you mean how many years? I knew Conrad since high school, although I didn't like him then because he was kind of nerdy but when he entered college he looked super hot, you know and I was in my final year in the University too...". Shane blushed.
"Whatever!".
Finley said as she put on a silk black and white body-con gown that hugged her body perfectly, it wrapped around her curves making her look fit and curvy.
"What will he think about my dress?". Finley asked smiling from ear to ear making her look cute.
Shane frowned.
"You look too gorgeous! I am afraid he will want to kidnap and rape you".
"What don't say that, why do you like spoiling my happy mood". Finley complained.
Shane got up from the bed, she was putting on only her pajamas shorts.
Finley is used to her being almost naked, barely wearing anything all the time she is inside her apartment.
"Look, see I am happy for you, I am, but I think it's still too early to be seeing somebody you just started talking to on the phone two weeks ago".
"I don't know why you are reacting like this, if you are happy for me, for God's sake I am old enough to make my own decisions, I am twenty-three, I am not a child anymore". Finley got angry and sad at the same time.
The way Shane was talking made her feel like she was making the worst decision ever when this was actually what she wanted, she has been trying to ignore Shane since morning since she didn't support the idea but she just kept talking about it.
Or maybe she is just jealous?
"You are just jealous that I am dating a man finer and richer than Conrad!".
Finley was shocked that her thoughts slipped out of her lips.
"What!".
"I am sorry, I didn't mean to say that, it slipped out".
"That's fine, I won't do your make-up for you, you do it yourself". Shane said and went back to bed.
Finley sighed and sat down at the vanity, she checked her phone, there were still two hours left before she leaves to see Him.
After thirty minutes of trying to do her makeup by herself, she got tired as she kept making mistakes.
'Uugghh!'. She exclaimed angrily. She turned to Shane who is pressing her phone on the bed with a smile on her face.
"Shane, I am sorry for what I said but please can you just help me and do my make-up? You can ignore me later, please?".
"Nope".
"Oh my goodness, I don't want to be late because of you, Shane!".
"Alright, fine I will do it but don't expect it to be beautiful".
"Just make it light".
"Okay, ma'am". Shane said with a sarcastic tone and face
Thirty minutes later, Shane was done with Finley's makeup and hair, it was time for the shoes.
"So which one do you think would be good, the high one or this higher one?". Finley asked pointing at the two high-heeled shoes on top of the shoe rack.
"Anyone would be fine but take the lower one, for easy movement". Shane said.
"I will take the higher one". Finley said.
Shane rolled her eyes again.
"So why did you ask me? If my opinion isn't needed".
"Oh no! Dear, it's needed". Finley said putting on the shoes.
Shane sat on the edge of the bed as she looked at her friend who has completely changed this past week because of the handsome man she found online.
"I have gotten an idea, let Wyatt follow you...,"
Shane gets interrupted immediately.
"Why? You are still not okay with me going out for this date?!".
"Just wait let me finish, your date won't see him but he will be on standby for you in case anything goes wrong and please don't follow him to his house, this is the first date you have with him...".
"I understand and thanks for your care but I will like to leave now and oh! I have a better idea why don't you follow me instead of Wyatt, I don't like that your cousin".
"I can't".
"And why is that?".
"I am going to stay at Conrad's place tonight, I won't be home when you come back and I can't follow you because I will soon leave not now though maybe a few hours later".
"Alright now if you won't follow me stop acting concerned and also I get to choose if I will follow him home or not". Finley said as she picked up her handbag and walked out of the room.
"Finley, this is your first time in a relationship, please be careful". Shane said standing up from the bed and following her behind.
"I will, my dear. I will tell you how it goes tomorrow".
Shane let out a sigh.
"Fine, enjoy yourself and be safe out there".
"Oh, I will".
Finley said and kissed Shane on her forehead
