Chapter 2: Chapter 2: What is happening

Amidst the tempestuous storm, both human and goblin forces stood face to face, their leaders—Majum and Percy Morph—engaged in a tense conversation. The rain poured relentlessly, adding to the atmosphere of impending conflict.

Majum, the goblin chief, stood tall, his green skin glistening with determination. Percy Morph, a seasoned human commander, exuded an air of authority, his armor gleaming in the dim light.

"Why have you broken the peace treaty, Percy Morph? We had an agreement," Majum demanded, his voice filled with a mix of anger and disappointment.

Percy Morph, unfazed by the hostile surroundings, raised an eyebrow. "Chief Majum, circumstances have changed. Our kingdom is facing a dire threat in the war against the Sun kingdom, and we cannot afford to spare any allies. We require the resources of Parumath forest to ensure our survival in our battle."

Majum clenched his fists, his eyes narrowing. "Survival? And what about our survival, Percy? We have lived in harmony with nature for centuries, maintaining a delicate balance. Our forest is our home, our sanctuary. We cannot simply relinquish it."

The tension between the two leaders hung heavy in the air, their respective forces ready to unleash chaos upon each other at a moment's notice. Majum's gaze shifted to the goblin warriors standing behind him, their fierce expressions reflecting their unwavering loyalty.

"You have underestimated the strength of the goblins, Percy. We may be smaller in size, but our resolve is unyielding. We will defend our forest with every ounce of our being," Majum declared, his voice resonating with conviction.

Percy Morph sighed, his gaze momentarily softening. "I respect your determination, Majum, but I fear the consequences of this conflict. Innocent lives will be lost on both sides. Is there no way we can find a peaceful resolution?"

Majum hesitated, his eyes darting between Percy and his goblin warriors. "If there is a way to protect our forest and avoid bloodshed, I am willing to explore it. But my duty is to my people, Percy. I will not allow them to be trampled upon."

As the rain continued to pour, as if mirroring the uncertainty and tension that filled the air, a sudden movement caught Majum's attention. Burata, Majum's wife, stepped forward from the ranks of goblin warriors, her armor gleaming with determination.

"My love is right, Percy Morph. There has been enough bloodshed and suffering in this world. We must seek a peaceful resolution," Burata's voice rang out, commanding attention.

Majum's gaze softened as he looked at his wife, his heart filled with love and admiration. He took a deep breath and turned back to Percy Morph. "We propose a truce, a time for open dialogue and understanding. Let us find a way to solve this problem peacefully, to protect our respective realms while preserving the delicate balance of nature."

Percy Morph studied Majum and Burata, their resolve evident in their words and actions. After a moment of contemplation, he nodded slowly. "Very well, Chief Majum. Let us set aside our weapons and seek a path of mutual respect and cooperation."

As the human and goblin forces lowered their weapons and began to withdraw, a sense of relief spread through the rain-soaked battlefield. The forest, once threatened by the clash of swords, now stood witness to the possibility of peace.

Majum and Percy exchanged a long, contemplative gaze, their unspoken understanding highlighting the weight of their responsibilities as leaders. They turned their backs on each other, each returning to their respective forces, knowing that the path ahead would require immense effort and compromise..

Within the depths of the rain-soaked Parumath forest, a tempest raged. The wind howled, lashing at the trees with relentless fury. Amidst the tumultuous symphony of thunder and rain, a mysterious cry pierced through the chaos—a baby's cry.

"Where am I? What is happening?" The bewildered baby examined its tiny green hands, a sense of unease creeping over it. "Why is my skin green? Oh no, I feel sick. I need help! I'm going to die!"

The baby's wails echoed through the forest which caught the attention of goblin scouts of the army, stumbled upon the scene. Approaching the infant, they towered above it.

Upon seeing the goblins, the baby was at a loss for words. "Aahhgh! Monsters! You giant, green, oversized babies! Leave me alone!" the baby cried desperately, but it was futile.

The baby was brought to Majum and Burata.

The leader of the goblins extended his arms, preparing to pick up the green-skinned baby. "Hey, hey! Don't you dare! No, don't you fucking dare!" the baby cried even louder, but the goblin's intentions remained unchanged. He scooped up the baby, drawing it closer and embracing it.

"Argh! Dude, have you ever heard of a bath? Because I think... I... I'm going to be sick!" the baby exclaimed, unable to contain its revulsion, and promptly vomited.

*********

Deep within the heart of the forest, nestled within a castle reserved solely for goblins, Oric now found himself in the company of his newfound family—the tribe's chief, Majum, and his wife, Burata. The goblins embraced Oric wholeheartedly.

Firstly, because he was remarkably handsome, even by goblin standards.

Secondly, the goblins believed him to be the long-awaited Goblin God, fallen from his celestial palace.

To honor this extraordinary event, the goblins organized a grand feast in the name of the baby, now bestowed with the title of God Grigum.

Amidst the vibrant feast, the goblin table was adorned with an array of delicacies fit for the esteemed God Grigum. "Oh, hell no! I'm not putting this shit in my mouth, and no one can force me," Oric declared defiantly.

Suddenly, ten beautiful goblin females with luscious, dark hair arrived, laughing mischievously at him. They began bombarding his mouth with their exquisite dishes until his stomach bloated to the point of resembling a balloon on the verge of bursting.

"Who... knew... that... goblin... girls... can... be... deceiving... and this beautiful... but... hey, their... food..., it's not so bad... like... how... the... video... games... make them," Oric murmured in his baby language before succumbing to unconsciousness.

However, the feast carried on until an abrupt interruption occurred.

A royal Goblin guard hastened towards the chief's seat. "Chief! I bring dire news! The humans are approaching with an army of ten thousand Spartans and two thousand wizards to bolster their ranks," the royal goblin knight announced urgently.

"What? That's preposterous! We just signed a peace treaty with them. Why have they chosen to break it?" the chief exclaimed, his eyes widening in disbelief. "I don't know, Chief," replied the royal knight, bowing respectfully. After a moment of contemplation, the chief issued his commands, his voice firm and resolute. "I want all able-bodied goblin warriors to prepare for battle, and the shamans must be ready as well. I will go and speak with this human called Percy Morph."

Inside the chief's chamber, Burata hurriedly donned her armor and rushed towards Majum. "My love, I'm going with you. It's a trap, so please allow me..." she pleaded, but Majum gently placed a finger on her lips.

"Shhh... my love, don't worry. It's just a minor matter so stay. I will resolve this and return as if nothing ever happened."

"In one piece?" Burata asked with widened eyes, yearning for the reassuring reply.

"Yes, don't worry. I will come back. But if anything should happen and the humans breach our castle, you must promise me that you will protect our long-awaited child and fight to defend our forest until the end," Majum declared, his gaze tenderly fixed on their child, who had been named Grigum the goblin God, or was it a mistake?

Majum kissed Burata and strode out of the room, adorned in his armor and wielding his sword and his shamanic magic staff.

Amidst the tempestuous storm, both human and goblin forces stood face to face, their leaders—Majum and Percy Morph—engaged in conversation.
