Chapter 7: The Rematch Years Later: Goku Vs Krillin
After Vegeta wins his match with one small jab, the announcer steps forward.
"The winner is Vegeta!" The Announcer says.
Yamcha shakes his head.
"Poor guy, didn't even know how out classed he was." Yamcha says.
Bulma and Bulla stand up and cheers for the prince.
"Go, Vegeta!" Bulma yells.
"Alright, dad!" Bulla yells.
Vegeta looks up at the stands and smiles slightly, making his way to the back.
"Nice job, Vegeta." Goten says with a smile.
Trunks folds his arms with a smirk.
"I knew you were going to win." Trunks says.
Vegeta smirks, putting his hand on top of Trunks head. He then looks over at Goku as the two share a look of excitement, ready to fight each other.
"Our next match is a rematch from the twenty second world martial arts tournament semi finals! Son Goku vs Krillin!"
Krillin sighs.
"Welp, guess that's us." Krillin says.
Goku clenches his fists and smiles.
"Alright, it's my turn to fight." Goku says.
"Goodluck dad! Goodluck Master Krillin!" Goten says.
Both Krillin and Goku nod at Goten and then look at each other. The two best friends don't say a word, and just share a fist bump while thinking about their last fight at the world martial arts tournament, and walk out to the ring.
"Let's go Krillin!" Lazuli cheers.
"Goodluck Daddy!" Marron yells.
"Wow, this brings back memories." Bulma says.
"Yes, it sure does." Roshi says with a smile, seeing Goku and Krillin as the same boys he trained on his island all those years ago.
Both Goku and Krillin take fighting stances with smiles on their faces. Even the announcer is grinning ear to ear, remembering when he called this match for the first time. Mr. Satan then steps outside.
"Man, I really stunk up that bathroom. I need some fresh air."
He then looks down, and sees Krillin and Goku in the ring.
"Hey... don't I know those two from somewhere?" He asks himself.
"Let the match, begin!"
At that moment Krillin quickly throws one of his signature attacks.
"KIENZAN!"
Goku dodges and charges at Krillin. Krillin then throws multiple Kienzans, But Goku dodges them all and continues to charge forward. Krillin quickly prepares another technique, putting his hands up towards his face.
"TAIYOKEN!"
Goku quickly covers his eyes, but instead of using the taiyoken, he fires multiple ki blasts that pushes Goku back.
"A fake." Gohan says.
Krillin then controls the Kienzans he threw earlier and brings them back towards Goku. Goku quickly avoids them, but gets cut on his cheek. Goku then rolls to the side and fires multiple ki blasts, destroying the Kienzans. As Goku is distracted, Krillin charges in with a punch that Goku is able to block but gets punched back. He then fires a large ki blast that continues to push Goku back towards the edge of the ring.
"He's trying to push me off." Goku thinks to himself.
Goku then powers up, pushing Krillin back, and stopping the ki blast. Both Krillin and Goku smile, enjoying the fight.
"Woah, Krillins actually holding his own." Yamcha says.
"He's using well thought out tactics to counter Dads raw power." Gohan says.
"Not sure if he can win, but he does have a shot now." Piccolo says.
"He's doing better than I expected." Lazuli says.
"Yay! Daddy's winning!" Marron yells.
"Woah, your teacher isn't half bad, Goten." Trunks says.
But Goten doesn't reply, just continues watching the fight with a smile, taking notes in his mind. Meanwhile, the rest of the crowd are amazed as well. Bulla is also impressed by this.
"Woah so that's Gotens dad and teacher? Pretty cool." Bulla says.
Goku smirks in the ring.
"So? What else ya got?" Goku asks.
Krillin smirks back at him, then charges up his ki. His muscles start to grow, and his ki begins to rise.
"KAIOKEN!"
Red aura begins to surround his body and he charges at Goku. He throws multiple strikes but Goku is able to dodge them. After dodging a kick, Goku lands a punch to his face, knocking him back and out of Kaioken. As Krillin is on the ground, Goku charges in at him but Krillin just smiles. At that moment a circle shaped hole appears underneath Goku's foot and he starts to fall under the ring. Goku quickly flips to safety, escaping elimination.
"Damn, that was so close."
Goku breathes a sigh of relief.
"So those Kienzans you fired earlier, not all of them were directed at me. You used one of them to cut a hole. Not bad, then again you were always smarter than me. You've even seemed to got the Kaioken handled after a short amount of time."
Krillin chuckles.
"Yep, but unfortunately for me, you saw right through everything I've tried so far. I guess it's time for plan B." Krillin says.
Krillin then charges in with a punch with everything he has. Goku dodges the punch and kicks Krillin in the gut, knocking him out of the ring.
"Krillin is out of the ring! Your winner, Son Goku!"
Krillin sits up off the ground as Goku flies over and offers his hand.
"That was a great fight." Goku says with a smile.
Krillin smiles back at him, proud that he was able to fight his bestfriend one last time, and takes his hand.
"Yeah, it was." Krillin says.
Krillin then looks over and sees his wife and daughter still cheering him on, even though he lost. He then looks over to the waiting area, seeing the admiration in his students eyes. Krillins smile gets even bigger as tears start to form in his eyes. Meanwhile Goten smiles at both his father and his master, grateful that he got to see this fight with his own eyes. Vegeta even has a smile on his face, impressed by Krillins performance.
Meanwhile, Mr. Satan is overwhelmed by shock and fear, watching that fight.
"Oh no....Not them... It can't be them." Hercule says, remembering Goku and Krillin from the Cell Games.
"I'm doomed!" He yells.
