Chapter 22: Chapter 17: The Epic Showdown
At a random demolished building, we find a hole in the wall that seemed like something went through it. Out walked our MC stretching his shoulders "Damn that's was something alright, wonder how Godwin's doing."
Before narrowing his visors blitzing off searching for his friend, while running he could see that superman was having a beat down with Zod he contacted Godwin. "Solaris whatever you do catch Superman, we can't let him go bursting through buildings like the Kool aid man." He then got his response " Got it Blitzshade, on my way." The now revealed Blitzshade then sped up and started running up the building, he could fly sure but the rush of running at hyperspeed was definitely a rush.
Running up the building he saw that Zod had caught Superman by his cape he thought to himself 'And that's why Edna Mode is right, Get the cape? you get fucked. Sure I'm glad i don't like them myself.' Seeing that Zod then started to spin him, he communicated urgent "Bro i don't know what you are doing but hurry up will you!!"
Superman having built enough momentum, was then launched by Zod towards the buildings before he got caught by a golden barrier. Seeing that the buildings were not trashed he sped to Zod, launching speed force lightning towards where his feet would land before stepping on the lightning one at a time he was now running on air.
Fast approaching Zod he started wailing punches at him, From a normal perspective it seemed like Zod got hit by lightning before bouncing all around the surrounding lightning trails like a pingpong ball. Then he was sent flying towards Solaris who with Superman gave him a double uppercut sending upwards at a supersonic speed before flying after him.
Blitzshade then took a seat waiting for the boys to come back to earth, Zod still sent flying to space disoriented shook his head, before he saw both Kal'el and some human covered in golden energy speeding towards him looking at his side he saw some human space craft near himself before he could fly towards it he was then sent of his mark by a burning energy projectile seemingly sent by the human.
Then their three way fight sent them back to earth, Seeing three meteor like objects falling from the sky he burst with speed to meet them. When they crashed through the city center, Zod slowly stood up saying "There is only one way this ends Kal, either you die or I do!" Both of them ready to keep fighting when they got interrupted by clapping, turning towards the voice they saw Blitzshade still clapping who then said
"You know? You sound like a typical third rate villain right? You could have landed on any other planet, heck there are thousands if not millions of them before you decided to destroy this world. The mistake you made with threatening all of humanity, you threatened my dearest person as well. And that is the one threat i don't take lightly." Getting off the wall he was leaning on while he was talking, red and blue lightning started to flashing around his body while he was approaching Zod menacingly. His eye visors started glowing with lightning while he raised his hand which started vibrating saying with his now dark and demonic voice"Pray for whatever gods you worship for mercy, because you won't get them from me."
Superman seeing where this is going said "We don't have to kill him, we can lock him up."
"Says the man who's mother nearly got killed by this man" responded Blitzshade without looking at Superman before he continues "Even if we did lock him up, no place could hold him and even if they found one. He would either break out, or be broken out of jail. So no, I'm not going to be playing catch the mouse all because of self righteousness. Besides he is an Alien that commits Mass Genocide who most likely destroyed countless civilizations just because of his justifications. So as a foreign space invader he does not fall under the rule of earth, neither any of It's protection."
Zod hearing the lower life form talking about executing him said "Hahaha, you? One of the most lower life form to ever exist is talking about killing me. Ha! Be my guest!" Solaris just stood to the side not interfering with anyone as he held Zod bound up to his head in golden energy, as he was communicating with the stars that revealed that all the things his friend said is true and even more.
Superman was now caught in a dilemma, of what to do became distracted to notice Lois entering the building. Neither did he see Zod charging up his heat vision, except for Blitzshade who was close to Zod to increase his hand's vibration.
"Since you love these people so much..... you can mourn for them!" Before the heat vision reached her she was protected by another golden barrier, shielding her from beams onslaught. Walking behind Zod, Blitzshade phased his hand through Zod's chest making him choke on his breath.
Holding his heart from the inside he whispered to his ear "You fucked around in the wrong house, fool." Breathing his last as the energy faded from his eyes leaving only glassy eyes, Superman seeing that his distracted state caused Lois's life and seeing Zod killed broke him causing him to fall on his knees with his eyes glued to Zod's he let out his scream of anguish.
Seeing the pain of Clark she ran to him as soon as the golden barrier disappeared, standing near his kneeling form. Looking up at her with his eyes barely concealing his inner pain, she hugged his head to her navel as he hugged her back. Blitzshade looking at Solaris silently gave a signal for them to leave with Solaris nodding in agreement. He approached the body of Zod taking his pale corpse before Superman and others noticed the dead kryptonian, they flew away unnoticed.
