Chapter 11: Chapter 11 - Prowess
When everyone finished dressing up they all saw Yuuki dressed in a Sleeveless turtleneck that had his back and the side of his back exposed showing his well sculpted body and his arms were gauntlet. He also had buggy pants and a metallic shin guard.
They were fixated looking at his body having different thought from Kyouka amaze the discipline and refinement of his body showing years of training while Shushu who been sheltered from boys until now was wondering if this how male is like since men had grown less dominant having their self esteem diminishing after the rise of Mato.
Himari pondered how someone can achieve that kind of physique and was curious about what kind of combat training that he knows. On the other hand, Nei is still young but does like Yuuki since he's been treating her like a little sister.
"Great, you're here, let's go.*
They were taken out of their thoughts and blushed realizing their reaction before composing themselves where Kyouka quickly commanded them.
"Everyone let's move."
They quickly rushed outside and Himari and Nei hopped in a jeep and zoomed away and Shushu rode a bike. Yuuki just stood there glancing at Kyouka noticing that there weren't any more vehicles pondering how they normally transport to certain places.
He thought that Kyouka might be already planning on riding him in his slave form. Yuuki doesn't mind and finds it beneficial for both of them in the end.
"Are you ready? It's time for us to go."
Kyouka asked as she extended her hand towards his face and nodded as he formed a clone then quickly licked her hands while looking at Kyouka who shook at his piercing gaze then transformed into his Slave form.
"Then how are you going to head here? Are you going to stay here?"
Kyouka asked curiously then saw him hover in the air surprising her that he was able to fly and decided that he was still hiding a few things from them but decided not to pry any further since he already trusted them with quite a lot of secrets about him.
"Don't worry, clones don't have range limits."
She nodded as they quickly catch up to the others where they met up with the others suprising them when he see him fly.
"I didn't expect you could fly too."
Shushu was close by to Yuuki who was flying beside her giving a nod.
"There's a lot of things you don't know about me but we can get to know each other later."
Yuuki flirted winking at Shushu who blush from his words making her think about the manga that she read before and thought it was a shoujo moment when this is the start of a Harems series.
Once they reached the place Yuuki saw a black portal-like thing with writings and patterns on it with rocks floating around it. He had studied it and replicated its functions to his space pocket he used in his storage and training room.
He looked around and saw an army of shuuki approaching the gate. He didn't kill them right away because he wanted to see the skills of the team he is going to be working with. Yuuki has seen the manga but he wanted to see it personally and read their potential as well as their limits hoping to train them.
Yuuki recalled about the 3rd unit being attacked by powerful shuuki in the future and noted on visiting it to stop their assault. He does like Bell, the chief of that unit and had one of the busted abilities if used correctly.
He would like to permanently copy it later but for now he concentrated on helping his new allies. A minute later Kyouka arrived while riding his slave clone and just a few seconds after her the rest of the team arrived. Even the clone only killed three or four shuuki that attacked him and he and Kyouka stayed out of the fight while the original looked from a distance.
Yuuki observed their battle and saw that Himari's hand transformed into a machine gun and she was shredding the shuuki quite literally. Her ability, from what he recalls is called [ Learning ], the power to learn the abilities of other Mato Peach Eaters, then somehow sets up the information on her smartphone for later use in battle.
Despite Learning being seemingly versatile, there are some weaknesses, such as if Himari isn't compatible with the power she learned, then she will be left with a downgraded and unstable version. It has caused her Learning abilities to be referred to as being useless by others such as one of her older sisters, Yachiho Azuma.
Himari manages to awaken his true potential during her fight with her mother in the future, having broken through her walk.
From all the things he had learned in his past and current life is that in Path of Martial art where it is hard for one to advance if their mind or heart isn't in the right place. They can be strong physically but will suffer a bottleneck and cant breakthrough if they don't calm the mind and heart.
This applies to people's abilities who continuously self doubt themselves unable to advance further due to trauma and other things that troubled their mind but when they unbound by this and overcame it would they finally advance.
Yuuki hardly faces it since he knows what he wants and gets it without any issue. Though, he still faces a wall until inspiration strikes and he advances again.
'Her resolve is as strong as Kyouka but her family does hold her back.'
Himari noticed him staring in shock how he suddenly moved and elbow struck the shuuki then leaped above them before burying their head into the ground with his feet.
'How strong is he!?'
She thought to herself then saw him turn his face to Shushu as she returned her attention back to the shuuki and Yuuki saw her surrounded by a bunch of shuuki. He was about to go help her but she suddenly became a giant. Also her clothes didn't get torn.
Her ability is called [ Paradigm Shift ], After receiving the Peach Blessing, Shushu can alter her size at will, growing to a height far larger than the 7th Unit Dorm rivaling the size of a massive Shuuki, she is also granted overwhelming physical power which allows her to overpower most of the opponents she has faced.
Aside from being able to become bigger, it is possible for her to shrink to the point where no one can see her, as well as also being able to do the same with her clothing or smartphone, becoming smaller or bigger with her.
There is, however, a limit to how long she can grow bigger unlike when growing smaller, becoming somewhat tired after turning much bigger than a normal giant shuuki. However even with this limit she was quite a capable fighter lacking proper combat technique in using her power.
She stomped down full force and created a huge crater. So Ant-Man without pym particles and mega strong. That stomp alone killed more than half of the shuuki.
Shushu shrank back and saw him staring giving a sweet smile waving at him and did the same as he kicked the shuuki towards the other shuuki causing their stomach to be destroyed.
Soon all the shuuki were eliminated and Kyouka released her ability on the clone. After the clone turned back to human form the original came and dispelled the clone. He regain his experience and memory excluding the their physical fatigue, only it's mental one but it was small compared to what he experience most of the time.
"Yuuki."
Kyouka called out and Yuuki looked in her direction and saw her walking up to him. Yuuki wasn't expecting a lewd reward since it all depends on his performances and help to its master and since most of the shuuki was taken care of by the others only manage to eliminate a handful his main body doesn't count. She looked at him and started patting him and said.
*You did well."
After praising him and gave a candy that Yuuki didn't mind since he likes candy but prefers a Lollipop. He took out the candy before eating it and joined the others to help check the surroundings.
"I've been wondering, what did you do earlier? When we watched you train we saw you were fighting someone but we were sure there wasn't anyone there and you were actually taking damage."
Shushu asked while Yuuki was flying next to her and scratch his chin while the other girls were listen.
"Right, I also want to know how that's possible."
Himari said, sounding more demanding, making Yuuki ignore him and answer Shushu.
"Well, it's the same phenomenon as when you imagine eating sour fruit and putting it in your mouth. It will make you salivate despite only imagining it."
It was true as they drool at the thought of having something sour in their mouth.
"My body just thinks I'm taking damage but in truth it isn't."
"....that's a bit of extreme shadow boxing. I've trained in something similar but I never took damage though."
Kyouka commented, recalling her time training.
"Don't know how to explain it in another way. And no, it's not because of my ability."
Yuuki awkwardly smiles since it was the truth since he is clueless on how it works since his mentality is different than theirs.
"While we're heading back, anything you know about me?"
"Oh, I have one, what kind girl do you like?"
Shushu bluntly asks while Himari is slightly annoyed by her question but Yuuki answers immediately.
"Someone strong. Not physically or their ability but they resolve to keep moving and overcome their weakness."
She took note of it and Yuuki continued
"Cause there isn't any shame in being weak, the shame is in staying weak."
This made them appreciate his words and affected by it from Kyouka who has a lame ability yet she kept moving forward while Himari thought at times she had been called weak and a failure but hearing his words gave her a glimmer of hope and started to dislike him being around less than before.
"That's…well said, Yuuki. I didn't expect you to be one who could make such wise words."
"Hey, I have a rough appearance and tone but I don't lack any integrity and wisdom."
"Sorry, I can't help but doubt that."
Kyouka blankly said recalling the reward that he put her through and Yuuki awkwardly smiled.
"....thank you."
Himari murmurs that Yuuki easily picks up and only smiles at hearing it. Yuuki can see some similarities to Noelle from Black clover to Himari.
After reaching home he was just chilling in his room as he had already done all the housework and nothing to do anymore. He started to get a little hungry so he went to the kitchen to get some food while on the way he saw Kyouka training Himari in the courtyard.
"Hmmm? Yuuki? What are you doing here?"
Kyouka senses him arrive as Yuuki was walking up to them glancing at Himari who had less hate in her eyes.
"I'm just trying to familiarize myself with the place. How about you two?"
"Can't you see we're training?"
Himari remarked while Yuuki rolled his eyes.
"You won't improve if your mind is like a raging current constantly thinking about both past and future. We don't know each other but by the way you stand and fight earlier you have strong conviction and will but hold back your inner thoughts."
She paused hearing his assessment that was accurate while Kyouka was amazed by his deductive skills.
"How are you able to deduce that? Tell me, how many years have you been doing martial arts?"
Kyouka was curious since her instructor would be able to deduce the same as him yet she was an old woman while Yuuki was the same age as her.
"Fourteen years since I've been obsessed with fighting manga and martial arts, I studied them creating my own techniques."
Yuuki said taking pride in martial arts and his training since he doesn't take pride in his intellect considering it is not his own. You can argue about his talent but he was already incredibly talented in his past and just had a bit more boost.
"That's surprising when you are able to invent your own robot and still have time for martial arts."
Kyouka remarked.
"I'm blessed in both I guess. Hmm, it seems we have company. "
All of a sudden his gaze got serious as he sensed hundreds of shuuki outside the barrier of the dorms. Soon enough there was a huge tremor which alerted everyone.
