Chapter 25: FINAL DAY TROUBLES
"Wh-wha- what was that?" Monk asked. "What was what?" John replied. "That thing that just happened before you woke up what was it?" Monk asked again. "So you expect me to know something that happened before I woke up. How does that make sense to you?"John replied with a little frustration. "Ok I think we all should rest for a while. I mean the guy just woke up give him a break." Speedy nervously interjected. "Yeah and you shouldn't even be interrogating him considering you didn't even think twice before leaving him behind." Mia said. "Hey I said I was sorry didn't I." Monk said as he went to sulk in the corner of the room. "I am just happy you are awake brother." Mia said. "Am happy to be awake as well anyway who's that." John said pointing at the new guy. "I was planning on doing an introduction for him so let me make it short and sweet. This here's name is Kai and he is a survivor of a recent incident during which his clan was destroyed. From now on he is to be regarded as a part of your team and a future classmate. Does everyone understand." Professor Winsel said. "Yes professor Winsel sir." They all said in unison even Monk who stopped sulking just to answer.
For the last two days of the expedition nothing extraordinary happened. The team started hunting together as the team that they were. Kai had joined the group during their hunts and he was made aware of the agreement that was put in place. Whoever killed a beast had the privilege of naming the beast. So far Speedy came up with Brontophobia, Monk came up with Gama-bear, Ecor was the chosen name for John's beast because he wasn't awake to name it and he liked the name nonetheless, and finally even though it was a team effort it was decided that Mia gets to name the accele-rat which was the rat cheater hybrid that she fought with Cora and so the only people in the team that hadn't been able to kill and name an original beast were Cora and Kai which wasn't really a surprise as he just joined the team.
These last two days a few things happened. A few more beasts were discovered and Cora through hard work and dedication managed to finally kill a beast and was given the chance to name the beast. The beast was a giant hippo like creature. It had the head of a hippo but it was three times bigger than one. It's skin was made of a very hard crystal like substance that had the unique property of being able to reflect any physical attack that was weaker than the beasts attacks. It attacked usually by slamming it's body into the ground and causing a lot of damage to whatever or whoever was in range. The beast provided a lot of trouble for the group and was killed only because Cora came up with the genius way of reducing her light density to its original form when it could only deal soul damage and because the attacks weren't physical the beast couldn't reflect it and ultimately died to a barrage of soul beams which allowed Cora to name the beast due to technicality. The name that Cora chose for the beast was [CRYSPOTAMUS] and she was not going to change her mind any time soon. Sadly however Kai was not actively looking to kill beast and as such was unable to get the privilege of naming a beast on another planet.
During the two days that the group spent doing different things something devastating had been discovered that had destroyed John. This devastating discovery had led John to disconnect himself from the group. John had locked himself in his room and refused to come out for two days no matter what anyone said. He didn't come out even for his loving sister. The whole reason was due to this devastating news. This same devastating news had given Speedy a self induced head ache as he was also cought in his own thoughts about the whole situation. The devastating news was the fact that John could not use his domain ability anymore. John was hit with so much grief from the situation and speedy almost fell sick due to the fact that he thought a certain incident had occurred which caused John's inability to use his domain ability and speedy was fairly confident he was the cause of it. At the same time he hadn't plucked up the courage to tell the others his thoughts and his mind was stuck in a constant war with itself. One side believed that speedy was the reason why John could not use his domain and the reason was due to a past incident that he had berried deep in his memories and would never forget. The other side would counter with the fact that he had chosen to transfer back the domain and so John not being able to use the domain wasn't his fault as it would mean maybe John had just forgotten how to use his domain ability as it was a special domain. This had given Speedy a severe head ache and he couldn't even fully focus on the activities that the rest of the group was taking part in. All apart from John.
It was the final day of the expedition. Today was the day all teams would be returning. Everyone was told to pack all their belongings that they brought with them and get ready to return back to Earth. The whole team got ready to leave. Although John wouldn't have listened to his friends and sister to pack his bags professor Winsel had just the statement for this situation. "Boy if you don't pack your things and get out of the base before the set time ran out the transformation to ship mode would begin and you would be crushed till there's nothing left but minced meat." Professor Winsel said. Although the statement was a lie. Sure if the transformation began it would crush John but for the transformation to begin he would have had to clearify his rank before the base computers would allow for a transformation to begin. Of course the children didn't know that. The group got ready and watched as the base transformed back into a ship and they went and strapped themselves in. A few more minutes of preparation and they were off with the target destination being Earth. The students were returning home.
