As the group settled into their conversation, Elara couldn't contain her excitement as she brought forth a piece of gossip that had been making waves throughout the academy.
"Have you all heard about the new couple in school?" Elara exclaimed, a mischievous glimmer in her eyes. "It seems a commoner and a noble have fallen for each other. Quite the scandal!"
Nathaniel, ever the playful one, leaned in closer to Isabella and whispered, "Could it be us, Isabella? The Marquises son and the Princess ? I can already see the headlines."
Isabella scoffed, rolling her eyes at Nathaniel's jest. "Please, Mr Flatterer don't flatter yourself. Our paths may have crossed, but I assure you, we are not going become subjects of this gossip."
Amelia, always eager for romantic tales, chimed in, her eyes wide with curiosity. "Oh, I wonder who it could be! Do you think love knows no boundaries, even among different social classes?"
Lucien, his expression remaining stoic as ever, offered a thoughtful perspective. "Love, in its purest form, transcends societal constructs. It is a force that connects hearts, regardless of status or wealth. However duty always comes first."
As the others continued to speculate and share their opinions, Seraphina mustered the courage to offer her own thoughts. "I believe that love has the power to bridge divides and challenge societal expectations. It is a beautiful expression of human connection."
However, before Seraphina could finish her statement, she noticed Isabella's icy glare fixed upon her. It became apparent that Isabella's disdain was directed solely at her, causing Seraphina's heart to sink with disappointment.
