-------------

Everyone within the city looked up at once, searching for the origin of the roar.

As for me, I expended my senses, and immediately felt the foreign, yet extremely powerful presence flying towards us at a very fast speed, coming from the South.

A tinge of excitement blossomed within me as the air around me turned unstable, and I rose up from the ground, looking in the direction the dragon was coming from.

Unfortunately, I had already spent all of Stormfront's power, so I was a bit less mobile in the air, and slower, but I had just arrived in Winterhold, and destroying the city while fighting a dragon was less than ideal to make a good introduction.

After all, the city infrastructures weren't invincible like they were in the game, because we weren't in a game anymore. And if my senses are right, then this dragon definitely had enough power to destroy this city.

I drew quite a few gazes on my own as I rose from the ground, but most people were busy running for their lives while the guards were going for their bows.

The dragon was already upon us however, and damn did it look impressive.

Covered in lustrous green scales, it was so large that it covered the sun with its mighty frame, casting a menacing shadow over the city.

Its eyes were fixed on me however as it shouted, "Joor! KRII LUN AUS!"

I not only felt the Force, but the very Force react to the dragon's shout as a purple wave of energy manifested in front of the dragon, and was sent flying at me.

I did not remember what Shout this was, but I knew that any Shout in Dragon's Language was dangerous, so I placed both of my hands forward, and tried to split the incoming attack in half.

I was partly successful as most of the attack was diverted to the side, sent spiraling out of control somewhere in the sea behind, but a part of the attack still managed to reach me, forcing me to use Energy Absorption, also called Tutaminis, to absorb the attack.

I felt a strong energy fill me, yet it was unlike any other energy I had ever absorbed before as even after absorption I felt it trying to gnaw on my vitality.

Had this hit a regular human, they probably would have had their entire lifeforce drained away in seconds. I was no regular human, though.

Crushing the foreign energy inside me, I grinned at the dragon and said, "Good. My turn now."

In its arrogance, the dragon had dismissed me the moment it shouted, thus getting a bit careless as it got close to me. Using this opportunity, I appeared next to it and placed my palm on its belly.

The insides of a dragon were much more complex than they might seem, and I felt an innate resistance coming from it, trying to stop me from doing anything to it. I was able to easily bypass it however as I planted a Force Seed within the dragon.

The dragon instantly flung me off of it, but it was too late as the Force Seed had already taken root within it. It was quite versed in lifeforce manipulation too it seemed, or at least had a firm grasp over its own, as it roared in human language this time, "Joor! What insidious magic is this!"

I smiled and unsheathed Shiroishi, while pulling at my Cursed Energy. I had only had it for a couple of hours, but that was enough to give me a rough sense of where it was and how it could be used.

Although it was a spiritual energy, it supposedly stemmed from the belly, where negative emotions resided in Japanese folklore. As a Westerner myself, and someone who had read the manga of Jujutsu Kaisen, I actually knew this was not the case.

One shouldn't think of one's body as an entity split in different section, but a whole. And following this concept, Cursed Energy did not really appear from any one place in the body, but instead existed throughout one's body.

The next step was to control said energy, and the key to that was emotions. One had to feel strong emotions to generate Cursed Energy, but also had to control said emotions to control the generated Cursed Energy.

Having trained in both the Dark and Light Side of the Force, I already had some accomplishments in this, and so, with a thought I drove some of my Cursed Energy towards Shiroishi, and coated it in an overwhelming amount of energy.

I could feel I was wasting a lot of my Cursed Energy, and the energy I wasn't wasting I wasn't really using well, but being a beginner in Cursed Energy I was already happy enough I managed to give my sword a boost.

Unaware of what I was doing, all the dragon saw was me unsheathing my sword, which it took as a challenge as it immediately shouted, "YOL TOOR SHUL!"

The moment I heard the first word of the Shout I already knew what this would be, Fire Breath being one of the Shoots I liked the play the most when I used to play Skyrim, so I prepared myself for the incoming wave of fire as I flew closer to the dragon.

Shiroishi, filled with lifeforce and imbued by strong Cursed Energy, easily cut through the flames, allowing me safe passage as I reached the dragon and got the first lick in the fight as I made a cut on its belly.

Before I could get happy about it however, the dragon displayed its much greater flexibility in the sky as it turned around, whipping its tail at me. Although it wasn't the thickest part of its body, it was barbed with spikes and slammed into me with the force of a train.

I had already activated Force Valor, and at the same time I coated my body with as much Cursed Energy as I could before I felt the impact. I was sent flying into the mountain that towered over the city, crashing into the rock with enough force to shake the mountain and make some of snow fall down.

I laid still for a moment, blinking as I felt the extent of my injuries. Coughing some blood, I used the Force to close my injuries, before walking out of the human shaped hole I had made.

Extending my hand, Shiroishi flew back to me, and grasping it firmly I saw the dragon still flying above the city, now raining down attacks to them.

The guards were ill prepared for the dragon's attack however, and their bows and arrows did barely anything. It seemed the time I had earned fighting it however had allowed for the mages of the college to arrive.

I could hardly distinguish them from one another from the distance, but one particularly strong presence around them tore a hole in spacetime, which manifested in a purple tear in mid air.

I was familiar with the sight, yet at the same time not as it was many times larger than any summon the player could use in the game.

Out of the tear came out a giant being made of rocks with purplish runes carved into them, and bound together by strands of unstable lightning that for a somewhat humanoid figure.

I recognized it as the Storm Atronach in the game, although this one was much bigger than the ones in the game. Was this a Storm Monarch then?

Whatever it was, the moment it appeared it fired a thick bolt of lightning straight at the dragon, the attack being far too fast for the dragon to react as it hit it straight on.

Using this moment, I flung myself off the mountain, using both the Force and Cursed Energy to strengthen my legs as I did not fly this time, but simply jumped at the dragon.

This allowed me to be faster, but I had no control over my trajectory. Thankfully, as it had been shocked by the Storm Monarch, it did not move away and allowed me to reach it.

With one long swing, I completely severed its left wing from its body.
