"I understand, but is this everything you want to say?" Yanna asked.
Yanna seeks more information because she already has the evidence obtained by Maya's team, it's the same with Arnold's aside from videos. If she can only obtain evidence from this person, then making deals with him is useless. She's not a saint who can forgive just because you say sorry, and she's not that good of a person who can agree with a smile to everything just because you give her something she already has.
Arnold watches Yanna closely and sees nothing from her expression, aside from a little shock to the videos; everything is normal. He clenched his fist, and he's getting nervous. He didn't expect that talking to Yanna is more difficult than talking to the president.
However, he can't give up now. Yanna has a connection to Vanessa, although no one knows about it, but he knows. At least he was sure that there is a connection because he was Vanessa's fan and knew that Vanessa, his idol, wouldn't make friends casually or let her guard down in front of someone if she didn't trust him or her. That's why when he saw Vanessa and Yanna together before, getting along very well in a survival show, he knew Yanna managed to build a connection with Vanessa. It's also because of this connection that he is sure Yanna can deal with Set.
"Actually, there's something more. Set plans to drug you soon and set you up with someone and be caught by reporters," Arnold said.
"Set-up? Deja Vu. Do all villains have the same brain cells?" Yanna murmured to herself
"What?" Arnold asked as he didn't hear Yanna.
" Nothing, how about we make our move too. I will agree to your conditions; however, you have to help me first. The evidence you gave is useless since I already have it, but a helper from the opposite side is much more needed. How about it?" Yanna said with a smile.
Arnold didn't expect Yanna's condition and that she already had what he wants to offer to get his condition. But this only proves that he was right to get on Yanna's side. Besides, if he really wants to win Yanna's side against Set, then helping Yanna from Set's side will make everything smooth for Yanna.
"I didn't expect you to be ahead of me, Ms. Rivera. It seems my hunch is right. Alright, I'll help you from the inside,"
"Then happy cooperation, Mr. Arnold," Yanna shook hands with Arnold.
"Happy cooperation," Arnold said. Then he went out after shaking hands and exchanging a few words with Yanna.
Yanna looked at her wristwatch, and her meeting with Arnold only lasted for 20 minutes. She fixed her hair behind her ear, revealing earbuds.
"Did you hear everything?" Yanna asked, and Fiona, who was in the next room with Melody, heard Yanna's voice.
Melody watched Yanna drinking alone on camera. She got up, ready to go to Yanna but was stopped by Fiona.
"Yeah, we heard it clearly," Fiona said, then added, "By the way, Vanessa is on her way here."
Melody was stunned because she didn't know why Fiona stopped her but hearing Vanessa's name, she understands then she stopped from getting out but she had doubts.
' Is Vanessa really coming?'
Yanna, on the other hand, didn't expect that Vanessa would come. But she didn't show any more reaction than shock. Then she understood that Fiona was joking and might be trying to see something from her reaction. Because aside from Melody, no one knows her relationship with Vanessa yet.
Yanna didn't like that kind of joke when she's about to talk about something important. Even if Fiona's suspicious of her and Vanessa, it's not the right time for that. So, as payback to Fiona, Yanna didn't play according to the card.
"Is that so?" Yanna said after the shock. She got up from her seat and went to the next room where Fiona and Melody stayed.
Fiona watched with a cunning smile, waiting for Yanna's reaction like excitement or something more interesting. However, she didn't expect Yanna to get up, go out, and she had a bad premonition.
As expected, Yanna came to the door and sat next to Melody. Fiona's face darkened; her plan backfired, and she knew Yanna understood that she was just playing tricks. But unexpectedly, Yanna got mad at her, and coming in here was revenge.
Fiona tried to smile, then she asked, "Why are you here?"
"You said Vanessa is coming, so I came here," Yanna answered with a sweet smile.
Melody, seeing the weird atmosphere between Fiona and Yanna, knew Fiona messed up. She texted Vanessa and sent the address, but unexpectedly, Vanessa replied that she's busy and won't be able to come with sad emojis. She still can't imagine the indifferent look of Vanessa sending sad emojis.
"She's joking. Vanessa said she's busy and won't be able to come," Melody said.
"Ah? Then, Fiona?" Yanna asked with confusion, as if she still didn't understand.
Fiona knew she did wrong and also realized where she went wrong. She raised both hands, surrendering to Yanna.
"Alright, alright. I'm sorry. I'm just messing with you. I didn't mean to interrupt you," Fiona admitted her mistake and thought Yanna would understand.
Yanna, who listened to Fiona, just smiled and waved her hand, "Oh, it's okay. It's been a while since we saw each other and also Vanessa."
Fiona doubted if Yanna really forgave her, but she couldn't read Yanna like other people. She could just respond to her calmly.
Melody ordered more food for Yanna, and Yanna smiled brightly at Melody.
"Do they have that food here?" Yanna asked excitedly to Melody.
Seeing Yanna's beautiful bright smile up close always makes Melody blush. "Yes, I looked at the other menus, and they serve dumplings here."
"That's great. I started to feel hungry all of a sudden."
Melody smiled at Yanna, "Don't worry, you don't have much work yet, so you can eat as much as you want."
"You're the best, Melody~."
Fiona looks at how the two interact with each other as if she's air. She knows it. Yanna won't forgive her that easily.
