Chapter 10: 10. Gamble
"I'll gamble my life on this!".
Darren had a firm look, he knew this was unavoidable. He then exited Florian Triangle as his Haki reserves ran even lower.
That sense of danger became even stronger prompting him to hurry up speeding in a straight line.
*Ring* *Ring*
"Moshi Moshi, it's me Kizaru, the wanted pirate is heading towards Enies Lobby, utilise all the marine soldiers and captains block his path!".
"Yes Admiral!".
"With this I should be able to catch up even easier to the young man hoho", Kizaru smiled as he sped up.
Darren activated his observation haki and expanded as far as he could, he heard a commotion happening in front of him.
"Fuck!!, the one thing that I didn't want to happen happened!".
"If they truly want to capture me, it'll only be my dead body!". Darren's eyes turned blue as his conquerors haki started going wild, his whole body became excited as crazy smile appeared on face.
"COME!! ILL TAKE YOU ALL ON!!".
"Oi, you hear that! The criminal has arrived!" C9 shouted at the 10,000 men that stood in a line waiting to confront Darren. Standing beside him was Chief Justice Bas, Chief Justice Kerville and Chief Justice And.
"We'll definitely capture this criminal, to dare slay the noble Celestial Dragons he must be crazy!".
"GET READY HIS WITHIN THE VACINITY! FIRE!!". With the order from C9 numerous Cannons were fired, Darren looking up saw cannons fill the sky standing up he said "even if I have less than half of my strength it more than enough!!".
"Snow Scatter!", Darren then clicked his fingers as multiple tiny snowflakes appeared that were black speeding towards the cannons.
*BOOOM*
A loud explosion happened as a smoke screen formed, taking advantage of this, he swiftly ran into the smoke screen rounding the line of 10,000 men. "I don't have the energy to waste on these people with Kizaru nearly here!".
C9 spotting him in the distance shouted "HIS FLANKING THE LINES, STOP HIM!". The 10,000 soldiers became vigorous as they shouted and dashed towards him.
Darren looked at them as he used his conquerors haki knocking out half of them leaving only 5,000.
"W-what just happened?!" The Chief justices and C9 became scared and wary as they saw half of their men drop. C9 mustered up enough courage to say "D-Don't be scared! If you capture him your names will be injected into the history books as the ones who captured the Celestial Killer!".
Regaining their confidence they presumed to rush at Darren 'fuck, why'd he have to give a good speech now of all times?!'.
"Hohoo, stand down, this weakened pirate will be taken care of by me" a man materialised from light as he looked towards Darren with a smile.
"Admiral Kizaru is here! Were saved!!" Although they mustered the courage to attack Darren they were scared deep down. The Chief Justices heaved a sigh of relief when they saw Admiral Kizaru.
"Now, will you surrender and obediently go to Impel Down to await your trial or should I kill you right here hmm?". Seeing Kizaru's haughtiness, Darren's face frowned even more.
'My chances of escape is slipping away, and Kizaru as at peak strength whilst I'm not'.
"I will not comply and for the last time I am not a pirate" Darren replied trying to stall for time, thinking of a way to get out.
"What you have done so far is nothing short of what a pirate does, in sense you literally are the definition of a pirate" Kizaru replied pointing at him shooting a light beam.
Darren dodged as the boat was destroyed. Landing on top of ice he looked around. Kizaru seeing him look around got alarmed "Send all your arsenals at him right now!".
Listening to his orders they fired all the canons they had whilst the soldiers on the ship fired arrows and all types of weapons.
Rifle bullets, grenades and bombs also were shot at Darren, "Yasakani String Of Jewels!".
Multiple light beams shot out of Kizaru's hands, Darren felt an unimaginable amount of danger like never before due to sheer amount attacks coming towards him.
As Darren looked at the incoming attacks his crazy smile morphed even more as a blue aura started appearing on his body bursting out.
"He has the aura of king! Conquerors haki!!" Kizaru's face showed disbelief as he realised this man wasn't a man that could be controlled anyway.
Darren burst out with the remaining amount haki he had left only sparing a bit to protect himself, his conquerors haki clashed with the remaining soldiers as they all started falling like flies.
He clapped his hands together as he screamed "COME!".
"HAAAAAAAAAAH!!".
"TRUE GLACIER WAY!!" A gaint palm made of snow and ice shards materialised infront of Darren as it shot towards the attacks colliding with them.
*BOOOOM* *BOOOM*
Due to his low reserves and weakened state, his True Glacier Way was overpowered after a second of struggling, what Darren prioritised was to stop all of the light beams shot at him.
The ships the marine and world government agents were on evaporated, before the explosion, Darren lifted his left hand up covering his face looking forward, the explosion then sent him hurdling with even more serious injuries, he tried to use this opportunity to get away, but a light beam seemed to have squeezed through as it arrived at his body.
Alarmed he quickly coated himself with the remaining haki he saved.
*BOOM*
"Acckkk!" Darren spat out a mouthful of blood with his eyes blood shot losing his breath, his hazy eyes threatened to close, but his will kept him alive as he used the momentum to sink into the sea using his devil fruit powers to swim underwater at a fast pace.
As he kept losing focus, he bit his tongue forcefully staying awake as he continued speeding underwater to the nearest island.

Back at the battlefield Kizaru had a solemn face, he used one of his strongest attacks and although he managed to injure him even more to the point of death the young man still got away.
'That young man erupted with even more power, that's crazy'.
"What they say is true, even a wounded animal is still dangerous".
Kizaru then looked for Darren using observation haki but Darren was out of his range, "I seemed to have lost him, I'll report this back to HQ, tch that muscle head Akainu won't let me hear the end of it".
Kizaru in a bad mood left without saying anything to the lucky ones that stayed awake as he vanished.

"Haah, haah" Taking deep breaths, Darren crawled on to the shore of a Island that had Mountains high into the sky.
Lying there, the upper half of his clothes were missing as Darren looked at the sky. 'If I didn't spare some haki, that light beam would've killed me'. He then continued laying there for another 5 minutes before he decided to get up although it was a struggle.
'First Aokiji, then Kizaru, man today was hectic!'.
As he got up he grabbed his stomach as the injuries flared back up, he limped towards the island, 'I need to look for a resting spot, preferably a place that'll not be easily exposed'.
As Darren walked, he kept staggering and even fell as he tripped on a tree root, "ackk, bleugh", Blood came out of his mouth as he clutched his stomach, "that light beam truly fucked me over, I'm back to square one with my stomach injury"
As Darren walked around slowly his injuries kept getting worse. "These injuries, I'm afraid Aokiji and Kizaru done a number on me, it'll take me a year to fully recover from this".
"I must make sure no left over injuries remains, wait, I've seen Luffy recover just by eating food, hopefully that'll shorten the time down."
