He sought new research directions to effectively handle various critical situations with a limited number of suits. Of course, he also didn't neglect progress in the development of the nanosuits.
Recently, he had achieved a breakthrough in nanosuit development, finding materials that met his demanding requirements. With a few more experiments, he was confident he would create a satisfying product.
As he was spending less time on scientific research, Tony became even more intrigued by Mark's new inventions. Novelty and the unknown always held the most irresistible appeal to a genius like him.
"What's going on, Tony?" Pepper, who also heard the commotion, came downstairs to join him.
"It's nothing. How are things at Stark Industries? If you have time, come with me to see what new stuff Mark has come up with this time!" Tony eagerly suggested.
"Ah, Mark has another new invention? Let's go and take a look. I can't wait to see what it looks like!" Pepper said enthusiastically.
As Tony and Pepper arrived at the mansion's entrance, the magnetic axis robots were carefully transporting a spatial portal from Optimus Prime's trailer. They created a base that securely connected the portal to the ground.
However, Tony and Pepper couldn't quite make sense of Mark's new invention. To them, it appeared to be a large metal frame, and if they installed a net on it, Tony might even mistake it for a uniquely designed soccer goal.
However, before the two of them could get their questions answered, the micro magnetic axis robots activated the spatial portal according to the pre-given instructions.
Instantly, a faint blue light filled the mysterious patterns engraved on the door frame. Within the previously empty doorway, a glass-like special membrane formed, reflecting the images of Tony and Pepper.
"Could it be that Mark's invention is just a special high-tech mirror? It can't be that simple, right?" Pepper whispered to Tony, hoping that he, being a genius himself, could figure out what Mark was up to.
However, Tony felt a bit embarrassed after Pepper's inquiry. He also couldn't understand the practical purpose of Mark's invention.
But the awkward moment didn't last long. Suddenly, a soccer ball flew out from the middle of the glass-like membrane and rolled a few times before coming to a stop at Tony's feet.
Almost instinctively, Tony took a shot at the soccer ball aimed at the center of the door frame — thud!
The soccer ball flew precisely in the direction Tony intended, accurately passing through the center of the glass-like membrane. But to Tony's surprise, the soccer ball didn't appear on the other side of the door frame continuing its parabolic trajectory as he expected. Instead, it disappeared entirely.
"Is this door frame...?" With the limited information he had, Tony already had an idea of the true function of the door frame.
However, the answer was so unbelievable that although he had made the assumption in his mind, he refrained from telling Pepper.
After the soccer ball vanished, countless miniaturized magnetic axis robots appeared in Stark Mansion through the door frame.
These little guys entered Mark's room in the Mansion and took out a notebook then they disappeared through the door frame.
Now Tony could confirm that his guess was correct; this was a spatial portal. He had encountered something similar during the Battle of New York when Loki forcibly opened a spatial portal using the Tesseract, bringing the Chitauri army to Earth.
But back then, the spatial portal relied not only on the immense power of the Tesseract but also on rare metals as stabilizers to complete the plan.
Now, Mark had managed to stabilize the spatial portal without relying on the Tesseract's power. Had he found a way to stabilize quantum tunneling?
As Tony was still immersed in shock and disbelief, the glass-like membrane in the center of the spatial portal fluctuated again. This time, instead of objects or machinery, a small white mouse appeared, bound by ropes.
The successful transportation of the mouse essentially proved the stability and safety of this invention.
The value of this invention was now incalculable; it could revolutionize humanity's transportation and logistics systems.
