Chapter 54: Result

Daerk continued to stand beside me as we watched Horan step forward, and be instantly accepted by the Jorami sect in the center the second he placed his hands on the ball, as the representative went ahead to announce in a loud voice to everyone present there.

"Final stage,"

The loud shouts of joy that echoed around were loud and ecstatic as though everyone around had been rejected, the fact that someone from the Bahu village had been accepted, made them extremely happy.

He was made to stand behind the Jorani representative and the pride on Horan's face was so glaring that it practically seeped out of every pore of his body.

Canita and Goren were next and while, Canita was also accepted as a Center stage cultivator by the Jorani sect, Goren wasn't and had to take the test two more times before he was finally accepted by the sect on the extreme right edge who's name I didn't know.

Right after was Clara's turn.

"Final stage cultivator!" The Jorani sect representative announced and the slight shock in his eyes was evident since it seemed like he hadn't been expecting to get another one.

The shouts that went up on her behalf almost rivaled that of Horan, the second she was announced as a slightly annoyed expression flashed across Horan's face when she came to stand beside him, even as he later tries to make up for it with a smile.

Nami was next and for a second I was sure the Jorani sect would reject her, which meant she would probably try other sects only to be accepted to the shock of many, especially Horan who looked even more aggrieved than before.

Everyone had almost done the tests the last two remaining was Daerk and I.

At first, I wanted to go before him, but watching him dash ahead of me, I simply didn't see a reason to rush like he did.

Daerk's screams echoed around as his two eyes still widened in shock when he was also accepted by the Jorani sect.

It was obvious that he didn't expect it and for a couple of seconds his screams were deafening before he finally calmed down and went to quietly stand beside the Jorani sect.

I stepped forward and even as I did, I could already feel the slight hostility in the stares of the people that stared at me, almost like my being there was simply a waste of their time.

"Final Stage Rank," The sect representative announced with a high smile on his face, but the shock and silence that filled the air astounded him even more, as he looked around in slight confusion.

Horan was the one to break it as he yelled in blatant shock from where he stood behind the representative.

"Wha…WHAT!"

"Senior…please you need to check again, there has to be some mistake. This person is complete trash and a few days ago he was still trash. I refuse to believe that in the space of days, he somehow became a final stage cultivator,"

The drama building in the air was palpable as the crowds slowly drew closer intent on not missing even a single word that was being said.

"I…I agree, senior," Canita also stepped forward.

"There's no way he's a final stage cultivator. I can swear on it…" she confidently stepped forward to say.

Of course, she could swear on it when she had gone ahead to suck even my mana core from my body.

Although Goren didn't the shock on his face was so glaring that it was obvious that he would have spoken, if not that he was yet to recover fully from the shock he felt

"Young man…is this true? Is it true that you were at the beginner stage a few days ago…"

"He wasn't even a cultivator…" Horan interrupted the representative who instantly shut him up with a forced glare in his direction.

Trash in the representative's books was much different from that of Horen's own.

In response to his question, I simply nodded and stretched out my hands again, and placed it on the ball, watching it slowly write out the words it had formally written on the surface of it.

"Final stage Rank,"

"If you don't mind me asking…then how were you able to become a final stage cultivator?" The representative gently asked with his entire attention completely on me, staring more intensely than I would have liked, almost like he had suddenly found a million gold coins.

Silence reigned and even Horan and Canita who had been previously yelling also calmed down as they seemed intent on hearing my response, with a slight determination in their eyes that showed that they were ready to counter whatever it was I said.

Still, I smiled and calmly opened my mouth to speak.

"Actually…I ate a flower that fell from the sky,"

My smile increased in size even more as I watched the eyebrows of the sect representative rise in clear shock right before his expression finally settled into one of acceptance, with his gaze fixed firmly on me.

"Welcome to the Jorani sect," were his next words as he nodded in my direction before getting on his feet with a satisfied expression on his face, looking back to see all the people he had been able to get.

"Three Final stages and two center-stage cultivators… Not bad at all…" he said in a louder voice along with a slight chuckle I felt was directed more to the other sect representatives than us.

They of course were also able to get a few center-stage cultivators but none of them had any final stage and apparently, the Jorani representative was quite petty.

"These are your emblems of recognition. I expect to see you in the city in two days," He said handing out what seemed like a big gold coin to each of us before I watched him snap his fingers, shocked to see what seemed to be a glider appear in the air.

In seconds, he floated in the air towards it and the wooden glider darted forward at alarming speeds and he was gone, yet all I could think of was how much mana he had just expended for such a simple action.

"It's definitely nothing less than two hundred points…" I muttered under my breath only to hear someone else mutter a counter right beside me.

"Two hundred? It takes miles to get to the city of Raghu, but definitely nothing less than 500 points. That's what it means to be rich.."
